Chapter 1 - 1

It was an ordinary morning as Elara and Julian made their way to the picknic spot c. The air was crisp, and the streets were starting to come alive with early commuters. However, the routine of the morning was abruptly interrupted when they noticed a chaotic scene developing in a nearby alley: a young man was engaged in a fierce struggle against two aggressive attackers.

"Julian, look!" Elara exclaimed, her eyes widening with a mix of concern and intrigue. "Should we go check it out?"

Julian sighed, adjusting his bag but nodding reluctantly. "Alright, let's go."

They hurried toward the commotion. As they approached, Elara wasted no time. She stepped forward and firmly grabbed the sleeve of the lone fighter, pulling him back to disrupt the momentum of the scuffle.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" she demanded.

The young man, his face hidden by a dark mask, turned sharply. His eyes were wild with adrenaline and frustration. "Are you blind?" he snapped, his voice muffled yet sharp. "Can't you see what's happening here?"

Elara took a step back, her brow furrowing. "Wow, that's really rude. I'm trying to help."

"Just shut up!" the stranger growled, shaking her hand off his arm. "I'm in the middle of a life-or-death situation here. Don't push your luck."

Without another word, he plunged back into the fight. It became clear this wasn't just any street brawl; the two men he faced moved with lethal precision—the unmistakable traits of professional hitmen.

Julian watched as blades glinted in the sunlight and felt a chill run down his spine. He nudged Elara urgently. "Elara, let's just go. This is way over our heads."

Elara remained still, crossing her arms with a defiant sparkle in her eyes as she observed the intense combat unfold. "If you're scared, you can leave. I'm staying. This is more exciting than any movie I've seen recently."

Julian gave her a long look filled with understanding. "Are you absolutely sure about that?"

"Definitely," she replied with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Now scram. I have a front-row seat to catch."

Knowing better than to argue when she was in this mood, Julian shook his head and retreated, leaving Elara alone to witness the dangerous spectacle unfold.
