Chapter 8 - Chapter 43 - Into the Unknown

Six days had passed.

Ella woke up early, unaware of how long she had been sleeping. She thought only a single night had passed.

"Hmm..." With a drowsy look, she scanned her surroundings. Olivia was beside her, sleeping soundly, snoring without a care. Seeing this, Ella chuckled.

"Vivi is like an infant." She smiled warmly at Olivia and pinched her nose, but Olivia didn't even stir.

"She's this tired?" Ella muttered, adjusting Olivia's awkward sleeping posture. As she lifted Olivia slightly, she noticed a bra and a nightgown on the bedding.

Seeing them, a memory of that night resurfaced.

"This..."

Ella's face flushed red as she recalled the embarrassing moment when she had clung to her mother so tightly.

why, why did I do that?! Ugh, I want to die.

She wanted nothing more than to erase that memory. The image of her vulnerable self embracing Yula had been engraved into her mind.

Feeling flustered, she turned to Olivia with a glare and threw her roughly onto the bed.

"Hmph, serves you right."

Still caught up in her awkward thoughts, Ella blamed Olivia for her embarrassment, refusing to admit her own weakness.

"I was just not myself at the time, so it's probably okay. Hmm, yeah, that's right. It should be."

She shook her head, convincing herself that she had simply been unwell.

But no matter how hard she tried, the memory kept resurfacing, making her face flush red once again.

Moments later, the door opened, and Scillia entered, carrying a bundle of food.

Seeing Ella awake, she greeted her respectfully.

"Young Miss, good morning. It's time to eat."

She bowed slightly before placing the food on the table. Ella nodded in response, still trying to suppress her thoughts of her mother's warmth.

After a minute of calming herself, she forcefully woke Olivia, as usual, before they began eating.

As they ate, Ella turned to Scillia and said, "Scillia, can you send a message to Mother? Tell her that we will be going into seclusion."

She was eager to use the Divine Space and summon people. Since she expected it to take some time, she decided to ask permission in advance to avoid raising suspicion about their system—especially since they weren't even invincible yet.

Over the past few days, Scillia's demeanor had completely changed, making Ella convinced that she was truly sincere in serving them. As a result, she had grown quite fond of Scillia and spoke to her in a softer tone.

Scillia nodded gracefully. "Leave it to me, Young Miss. I will make sure to assist in convincing them, though at your age, seclusion is quite unusual. Newborn gods are meant to enjoy their first thirty years being pampered."

With that, she swiftly departed, leaving Ella speechless.

This maid has really transformed... That was incredibly fast. Most maids take months or years to get used to their duties, but Scillia adjusted in just a few days?

Ella was amazed but quickly pushed the thought aside, turning her attention to Olivia.

"Vivi, eat more. We'll be moving to the secret chamber and isolating ourselves for a few days."

She stared at Olivia, who still looked drowsy. Olivia lazily glanced back at her and replied sleepily, "I understand... Nom~ Nom~ munch munch... hmph~ chew chew... nyam~"

She devoured her food at an alarming speed, but Ella wasn't surprised.

She had long grown used to Olivia's appetite. Back in their previous life, Olivia had always been greedy when it came to food, but it had never been this extreme.

Watching her now, Ella couldn't help but wonder—had Olivia always been like this, or was it her newfound strength that made her eat so much?

Could it be because she's stronger now?

The thought seemed feasible, but she didn't dwell on it for long.

She erased any unnecessary thoughts and instead began to imagine what the Divine Space would be like.

An hour passed.

Scillia had already received permission and had finished cleaning the secret chamber to ensure that Ella and Olivia could absorb natural energy without being disturbed by dust. It took another hour before they finally entered.

"Here, Young Miss. Take your meditation mat."

Scillia handed Ella a mat for comfort and did the same for Olivia before preparing to leave.

"I take my leave, Young Miss. I will see you next week."

After saying that, she left. Ella nodded but frowned at her words.

A week? That's incredibly long. Entering the Divine Space should only take a few days...

She didn't want to spend too much time sitting and meditating—it was far too boring for her.

"Vivi, are you ready? I will open it now."

Olivia barely reacted, only nodding lazily while dozing off on her mat. Seeing this, Ella decided.

"System, let us enter the Divine Space."

DING!

[The twin hosts will now be teleported to the Divine Space. Please endure the spatial pressure and the dizziness caused by the time-backlash.]

A strange cold sensation enveloped their bodies.

It was as if time itself had completely stopped. They couldn't move—an unknown force dissolved them, pulling them into something incomprehensible.

Ella frowned, about to complain to the system, but before she could speak, she and Olivia were completely dissolved. Their vision shifted so fast it made them feel nauseous.

"Ugh, shit..."

Ella was shocked and filled with fear. Olivia also panicked as their surroundings became an endless black vortex, stretching in all directions.

Looking at it made them dizzy, as if they were sinking into an infinite void.

"Eri, I'm scared!"

Olivia was shaking, holding tightly onto Ella's arm, afraid of being separated.

Seeing her fear, Ella steeled herself, pushing aside her own discomfort, and hugged Olivia tightly.

"Don't worry, Vivi. I will protect you."

Hearing her words, Olivia felt slightly reassured. Moments later, the pressure weakened, and they finally arrived in an empty white space with nothing in sight.

Ella's eyes widened in shock.

"Damn system, what the hell is this?!"

DING!

[The twin hosts can create various constructs within the Divine Space, as it exists beyond time. Any being unable to surpass the Primordial Void is incapable of detecting it. You can now survey or peer into realms undetected and remain completely beyond deduction.]

Hearing this, Ella was stunned.

"Beyond time? System, does that mean we aren't affected by time here?"

DING!

[Yes.]

Ella's eyes widened even more. "Eh?! That's incredible! What about breakthroughs? Can we break through here?"

DING!

[Yes.]

Hearing this, Ella's smile widened in excitement.

Amazing! We can break through here, experience the changes, and when we exit, it will be as if time has slowed everywhere else!

At that moment, she fully realized just how heaven-defying their system truly was.
