Hours later, they left the Training Spatial Space to go have lunch in the main cafeteria hall.
The cafeteria hall stretched like a starship hangar, vast and glowing. Walls of glass shimmered with shifting holograms—menus, announcements, even constellations drifting across the ceiling. Long tables floated slightly above the ground, their surfaces alive with soft neon grids that adjusted to each student's tray.
Robotic servers glided silently between aisles, their arms unfolding with precise grace to deliver steaming dishes that looked half futuristic cuisine, half art installation. The air carried a hum of energy: laughter, chatter, and the faint pulse of ambient music woven into the architecture.
Above, transparent walkways crisscrossed like veins of light, where students hurried past with glowing datapads
Once Tempest and her gang walked in, all the attention turned towards them.
"Are they the ones?"
"Yeah, can't imagine they defeated a death mode dungeon boss difficulty in a gold tier dungeon"
"Some students tried out the golden tier but were immediately killed loosing a lot of points"
"Speaking of points. It was unanimously said that some students will be eliminated if they have low points before the first exam!
"Yeah, I think the students who were next in my dorm room were already sent home since I don't see them anymore"
"That makes perfect sense"
"Some students are being kicked out!"
"Shhh shut it! Do you want to get us in trouble!"
"It's not confirmed yet!"
Tempest and her gang sat on one of the tables. Tempest ordered dishes from the glowing datapad that was at the table. Robotic servers brought the meals.
On the table were: Neon Noodle Spirals, Crystal Fruit Orbs, Morphing Protein Cubes and plasma-grilled Steaks.
The Neon Noodle Spirals glowed faintly in shifting colors, infused with bio-luminescent algae. Each bite changed flavor depending on the light spectrum projected above the trays.
The Crystal Fruit Orbs were transparent spheres that cracked open with a soft pop, releasing glowing juice that would taste like a mix of citrus and starlight
The Morphing Protein Cubes were edible blocks that reshape themselves into miniature sculptures before melting into rich, savory flavours on the tongue.
The Plasma-grilled Steaks were cuts seared with splama arcs, tender and glowing at the edges.
Tempest always knew how to spoil her friends with expensive cuisine that would rival that of a seven star hotel or even the buffet of a royal family. Tempest was like a goddess of wealth and they inwardly felt glad that they befriended her instead of the latter.
"Oooo Gooooood....this is so delicious!" Talia said as she chewed the edge of her eyes brimmed with tears.
Tally groaned with ecstacy agreeing with her twin sister.
"Yes, this tastes better after hours of training" Trevor said after swallowing.
"Eat first, talk later" Kaiden said as he ate like a maniac.
"This meals are more delicious than those in the palace" Aureth said
Tempest on the other hand ate while Scrolling through the school forum for any piece of information that she may find useful to her. To her luck, she found something that was both useful and suspicious.
