It was from the Boundless Heavenly Hall intelligence network, operating within the Black-Corner Region.
"Suspicious Soul Hall activity detected on the western border. Multiple protectors have been spotted. They appear to be searching for something—or someone."
A cold smile curved his lips.
The Soul Hall. Finally showing yourselves.
He had been expecting this. After the annihilation of Protector Xuan and the disruption of their plans for the Fallen Heart Flame, it was only a matter of time before they sent more agents to investigate.
They're probably wondering what happened to their man. And more importantly—they're curious about the force that dared to eliminate him.
Xiao Jietian's eyes glinted with a dangerous light.

He didn't immediately return to the palace. Instead, he remained where he was, his mind turning over possibilities.

His expression grew serious.

He rose from the boulder and stretched.
The sun was setting over the Eternal Heaven World, painting the sky in shades of gold and crimson.

The women were already gathered, their expressions serious.

Medusa leaned against a pillar, her arms crossed, her tail swaying lazily behind her. Her expression was one of bored anticipation—the look of a predator hoping for challenging prey.
Yun Yun sat to one side, her hand resting on her pregnant belly. Though she could not fight in her condition, her strategic mind was already working, calculating possibilities.
Ya Fei was similarly positioned, her charming demeanour replaced by focused intensity.
Qing Lin stood beside Little Fairy Doctor, her green hair swaying gently. Her bond with her magical beasts meant she could call upon two powerful allies at a moment's notice.
And Han Yue—newest member of their family, newly awakened to her Frozen Spirit Body—stood slightly apart, her expression determined. She was the weakest among them, but her resolve was iron.
Xiao Jietian surveyed them all, his heart swelling with pride and affection.
This is my family.
And I will protect them with everything I have.
"Report," he said simply.
Little Fairy Doctor stepped forward.
"The intelligence is confirmed. At least three Soul Hall protectors have been spotted near the western border. Their strength ranges from Four-Star to Six-Star Dou Zong."
She paused.
"There are also rumours of a Tianzun-level agent in the area. Unconfirmed, but possible."
A Tianzun.
A Dou Zun-level agent of the Soul Hall.
Xiao Jietian's expression didn't change.
"A Tianzun." He nodded slowly. "If they send one, we'll deal with it."
His gaze swept across the room.
"But first—we need more information. We need to know exactly what we're facing."
He turned to Qing Lin.
"Send your beasts to scout. Quietly. Don't engage."
Qing Lin nodded and closed her eyes, reaching out with her consciousness to her bonded partners.
He turned to Little Fairy Doctor.
"Prepare your deadliest poisons. The ones that affect souls directly. If we're dealing with Soul Hall agents, physical poison won't be enough."
Little Fairy Doctor's lips curved in a chilling smile.
"Already done."
He turned to Medusa.
"You're with me. If we find them, we hit fast and hit hard. No mercy."
Medusa's eyes gleamed.
"Finally."
He turned to Yun Yun and Ya Fei.
"You two stay here. Protect each other. Protect the hall. If things go wrong, you're our last line of defence."
Both women nodded, their hands instinctively moving to their bellies.
He turned to Han Yue.
"You're with me too. Not to fight—to learn. Watch. Absorb. This is the reality of our world. You need to see it."
Han Yue's expression was nervous, but she nodded firmly.
"I won't let you down."
Xiao Jietian smiled.
"I know you won't."
He looked at them all one last time.
"Alright. Let's go hunting."
