Pov: Aqua

It was in the middle of the summer vacation when I was sprawled out on my bed glaring at the AC which was acting up again.

"Ukhti! Water is falling on my head!"

Huraira cried, squirming to move away from the leak.

"You guys are so dramatic"

Coral sighed.

"Who the heck connected you? Don't you have academy stuff to do prez?"

I asked sitting up straight

"Do I need a reason to bond with my two precious cousins?"

She said looking away

Something's up, her eyes say it all

Me and huraira exchanged a subtle glance and I spoke up again.

"What's up?"

I asked

"What do you mean what's up?"

Coral asked trying to naturally put some papers aside- but she couldn't fool my trained eyes

"What's today's council's agenda?"

I bluntly asked monitoring her subtle changes in expression.

"It sucks to have agents in the house!"

She whined

"Answer me"

"The nobles put up and appeal"

Coral began but she looked like she was drinking poison

"It's about me?"

I asked trying to ease her trouble a bit.

"Mmhm...Well.. I have it live here.. wanna hear?"

She offered with a sigh and oh boy it was an ugly sight, old men were desperately coming up with things against a young girl like me- apathetic

"With your latest exploits, our family is in a tough spot"

She laughed wryly

"Sheesh but I never thought they would go so far as to appeal for an exile- they seriously want to send a frail young princess out into that toxic world?"

"That would be pitiful if you were one but nevertheless they pushed it too far this time"

Corals frown lines became deeper.

Then came the real catastrophe:

"I agree, let's go with what you say"

Echoed my father's cold words in my ears

"And that's it! I now have trust issues"

I squeaked in frustration, trying to hide the betrayal and shock I got from hearing those words from my father.

"H-hey, I'm sure it's a mistake"

Coral said her voice shaking in denial.

"I doubt that, he isn't saying anything else and the whole council is quiet"

I gritted my teeth

what the heck was he thinking????

Who were the people who made a fuss about sending me to study on campus???

I assumed you had no intention of separating from me until my marriage!!!!!!!

I stubbornly held back my tears as he adjourned the meeting unfazed as if he hadn't just broken his daughter's heart
