Morning came, but not as bright as everyone hoped. Rain pattered steadily against the windows, the soft drumming a perfect mirror for Xu Jin and Yun Hu's sulky moods. Xu Jin sat at the table, arms crossed, eyes glued to his phone, while Yun Hu hid half under the sofa, tail flicking irritably.
In apartment 1208
Chen peeked into the room, tilting his head. "You two… you're both in a mood, huh?"
Xu Jin muttered without looking up, "This is unfair. I planned a day… you went with those two but when my time come it's ruined."
Yun Hu let out a low hiss, clearly agreeing.
Chen sighed, but a soft smile tugged at his lips. "Alright, alright… don't sulk too much. We can still go after the weather clears up."
Both still looked unconvinced. Xu Jin's lips were a tight line, and Yun Hu's ears were flattened against his head.
Chen rolled up his sleeves. "Okay, plan B. Special breakfast!"
He get ingredients from apartment 1207 and made his way to xu Jin's kitchen.
He moved quickly, chopping, mixing, and cooking. The scent of the food slowly filled the apartment, warm and inviting. Xu Jin's nose twitched at the aroma, and Yun Hu's ears perked.
Xu jin thought " it's the first time that chen has made food here right! He really looks good if he have long hair it would look more good".
Chen placed the plates in front of them. "For my two gloomy souls—this should cheer you up a little."
Xu Jin peeked at the meal, his sulky expression softening slightly. Yun Hu sniffed, then mewed softly, hopping onto the table for a closer look.
The magic of Chen's cooking worked its quiet charm. Xu Jin's lips twitched into a small smile as he took a bite, and Yun Hu's tail gave a tentative swish. It wasn't the day they had planned—but for the moment, the warmth of food and Chen's care made the rain outside feel a little less miserable.
They all finished the meal xu jin was washing dishes chen was in lobby. Chen heard a noise and came to check on xu jin when his foot slipped by soap that was dropped by the culprit who was now trying to catch him.
They both fell but xu jin flipped chen mid air and put his both hands one on his waist and other on his back of head. Chen was on top of him. He hugged him tightly chen asked in panic are you alright let me get up and check on you. With these words xu jin made his grip tighter and in low voice he wisphered can you please stay like that for a minute. Chen was already flushed with these words his mind go blank " huhh". Xu jin calmly said my back hurts a little if you moved I think I'll scream. Chen moved his head sideways which made him brush his face across xu Jin's chest and he wisphered okay. This action stirred something in xu jin he tightened his grip but not to the point of suffocating chen. Xu jin thought overjoyed " god really made my wish true this time too, then he realised wait! Wait! Does that mean it was me who spoiled my day off with chen because of that wish no no no this is not ruined with a smirk he looked down at chen who was laid on him and thought enternaly"see what I got hehehe".
Chen said is it okay if I stand now if it is hurting that much we should go to the doctor.
Xu jin got greedy by seeing the concerned eyes on chen he thought " he want this man only for himself". He said then kiss me for make the pain go away.
Chen " huh"
Xu jin had already blurted out the bomb he quickly said again you know my mom always dot it when I fell or heartbroken. Chen was deep red but he lifted his head and slowly came closer to xu jin which made xu jin heart pounding so hardlyhe thought chen will kiss him on his lips. Chen went for his forehead and lightly pecked and said softly pain pain go away and stood up slowly and gently as to not hurt xu jin.
Chen thought it is natural right parents do that to their children and xu jin was missing his mom right now as he got hurt but he was still beet root. Xu jin stood and slowly came to him as he don't even know where he got that courage and whisper " why mr professor is so red could it be he likes men". Chen didn't said anything but hit him slightly and said if you're already fine to even tease instead of feeling pain then wash the rest of dishes. Xu Jin's attitude slipped ???!!!! Chen walked away and xu jin cried bitterly as he had to wash the dishes with a little back pain too.
But as he was doing the chore he was overly motivated and muttering with a full big grin on his face
" IT WAS WORTH IT"
