Elena's POV
My stomach churned as I read the text again.
Blackmail? Who could be behind this?
Julian didn't have my new number, and he was the only one pursuing me.
"Are you okay?" Dorian asked, worry threading through his voice.
"Yes, yes," I answered hastily, smoothing the turquoise dress.
"I'm sure she's fine, babe," Lexie said, pressing against Dorian's side.
Dorian's expression darkened. "If that's Tobias, tell him you're tied up," he muttered before heading inside.
I froze, his words hitting me like a slap. When understanding dawned, I gasped.
"What?" Lexie questioned, eyeing me with suspicion.
I brushed past her and followed Dorian inside.
"Mr. Griffin! Mr. Griffin!" I called out.
Dorian looked back, a knowing smirk playing on his mouth before he vanished into the dining room.
Behind me, Lexie's heels struck the floor with sharp precision.
"What's happening?" Lexie snapped, her voice cutting.
I steadied myself, plastering on a courteous smile. "Nothing."
