Chapter 1 - School Miss Nobody

Chapter 1:

"Screech!"

A car suddenly halted in front of the school gate of one of the most prestigious private schools in Southern China—a school meant only for the sons and daughters of billionaires and influential families.

Students turned to look.

A young girl stepped out of the not-so-expensive Chevy.

Compared to the luxury cars parked around—Bentleys, Ferraris, and Maybachs—her car looked completely out of place.

She picked up her bag, shut the door, and locked it calmly.

A group of girls strode toward her, laughing loudly.

"Well, well… if it isn't the school's Miss Nobody," one of them sneered.

"Who else would arrive in such a cheap car and make that awful sound?"

The others burst into laughter.

The girl simply smiled faintly and walked past them.

Zhao Lusi wasn't surprised.

This was her daily routine.

Mockery. Insults. Humiliation.

She had chosen this path herself—and she would walk it to the end.

Because her car was considered "cheap," she wasn't even allowed to park inside the gate. Everyone in the school despised her.

Yet, she didn't care.

She was immune to their cruelty.

In their eyes, she had no background. No powerful family. No traceable history.

She was the school's Miss Nobody.

And she was perfectly fine with that.

As she walked toward her classroom, sneers followed her from both sides.

Whispers. Laughter. Mocking stares.

She knew they had prepared new dramas and pranks for her today.

Fine.

She was ready.

A dangerous smile curved her lips as she walked boldly forward.

Suddenly, the same girls blocked her path.

Zhao Lusi groaned softly and rolled her eyes.

Here we go again.

"Zhao Lusi!"

One of the girls shouted loudly, attracting everyone's attention.

Lusi looked at her calmly.

"How dare you ignore us?" the girl snapped.

"Do you even know who we are?"

She pointed at herself proudly.

"I am Yu Xi. We are the elites of this school. Even teachers and the principal don't dare offend us—let alone a nobody like you!"

Her voice grew sharper.

"You have no family, no background, no name. Your life is worthless!"

Suddenly—

Lusi burst out laughing.

Everyone froze.

"Why is she laughing?" students whispered.

After laughing for a while, Lusi sighed and wiped imaginary tears from her eyes.

"Well," she said lazily,

"if I remember correctly, this is the… fifth? No, sixth time you've told me about your 'elite lifestyle.'"

She tilted her head.

"And every time, your brain still lacks sense and shame. Tsk, tsk… too bad."

She smiled sarcastically.

"I'm Miss Nobody.

And you're Miss Somebody.

But sadly, your 'somebody' status doesn't come with intelligence."

"How dare you!" Yu Xi fumed, raising her hand.

She was about to slap Lusi—

"Who dares bully my sister?!"

A sharp voice echoed down the corridor.

Lusi smiled.

Yu Xi froze.

Everyone turned.

Yang Mi had arrived.

Yang Mi was Lusi's best friend.

Her backbone.

Her shield.

She was also part of the elite—perhaps even more powerful than Yu Xi.

Her family was highly influential.

She was elegant, disciplined, and well-trained.

But she hated arrogance and lies.

And she only had one friend.

Zhao Lusi.

Their sudden bond had fueled everyone's jealousy.

"I think you know bullying is a crime," Yang Mi said coldly.

"So what?" Yu Xi scoffed. "She asked for it."

Yang Mi stepped closer.

Her gaze was icy.

"You should know better than to touch her," she said quietly.

"Others here may tolerate your stupidity—but I won't."

Her voice dropped dangerously.

"So if you value your future, take your messed-up mentality and get lost."

The murderous look in her eyes made the girls shiver.

They stepped back, snorted angrily, and left.

Yang Mi turned to the crowd.

"Show's over. Go to class—unless you want trouble."

The students scattered instantly.

She then faced Lusi and smiled cutely.

"Nice rescue," Lusi said calmly.

Yang Mi beamed.

"But I—"

"Let's go to class," Lusi interrupted.

Yang Mi pouted silently and followed her.

Meanwhile…

Inside a black Maybach, a man in a dark suit sat quietly, reading a newspaper.

"Boss," his assistant, Li Jun, spoke.

"Madam Fang sent another blind date message."

"Where?" Fang Heng asked coldly.

"At a five-star—"

"When?" he interrupted.

"Tomorrow night."

Just then, his phone rang.

"Boss, it's Madam Fang."

"Give it to me."

"Mom," Fang Heng said flatly.

"Don't 'Mom' me!" Madam Fang snapped.

"You will attend that date tomorrow, or else—"

"I'll go," he replied.

"But it will be the last one."

"No more blind dates."

Li Jun stared in shock.

His boss… was rebelling?

After the call ended, Fang Heng spoke again.

"Reschedule all postponed meetings for today."

"Yes, Boss."

"Anyone unprepared gets a leave letter."

Li Jun gasped.

Leave letter?

That meant dismissal.

What kind of storm was coming today?
