The honeymoon was two weeks in Costa Rica.
They'd debated going somewhere expensive—Italy, Greece, somewhere that matched the grandeur weddings were supposed to have. But ultimately they'd chosen a small eco-resort on the Pacific coast. Somewhere they could disconnect completely. Somewhere they could just be newlyweds without worrying about work or obligations or anything except each other.
"This is perfect," Sienna said. They were lying in a hammock on their private deck. Watching the sunset paint the ocean in shades of orange and pink. "I can't remember the last time I felt this relaxed."
"The Catskills cabin," Alessandro said. "A year ago. When we took that week to heal after everything."
"That feels like a lifetime ago. So much has changed since then."
"Everything's changed. We got engaged. Built a business together. Got married. Started actually living instead of just surviving." Alessandro turned to look at her. "Do you miss it? The intensity? The drama?"
