Chapter 1 - Author's Note:

Hello, everyone.

First of all, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank every single person who decided that, in their busy or long day, they would take a risk and give this story—or if you prefer, this series—a chance. Especially since it's written by a totally unknown writer who may be way over his head for thinking he can do this.

Me saying that about myself isn't me being negative or discouraged. I'm simply stating something that is often in many readers' minds—and not just readers, but writers too.

I won't lie: this is a very tough business. If I were someone else, I would probably get up and look for a job that would keep me working and occupied. I don't know for how long, and sure, I might see a paycheck at the end of the month—but if we're completely honest, I simply wouldn't be happy. That's why I decided to risk everything and do this.

This is a very tough and brutal business, and some may think we're stupid enough to even dare to attempt this. Some may advise us to forget this dream, and most of the time we may think they simply don't believe in us—but that's not the case. They're just afraid for us and on our behalf. They don't want to see us heartbroken when things don't go the way we envisioned. And let's be honest, things never go as planned.

And it's not because the world has some kind of agenda or because it's unfair. We can't blame it, and we can't blame our creator and almighty Father GOD. See, talking about risk—this is another one I've taken by saying His name. I know that in today's world, you may be hated or even blacklisted for uttering a single thing about Him, but that's okay with me.

But this is not a sermon, and I'm not here to preach or anything. This is just me being honest. Now, I have to be truthful about something.

And please be warned—this may change the way you see me or any of my work, especially this new work of mine.

The Truth:

Hiya.

Welcome to my world of infinite possibilities. My name is Child_Of_Angel, and of course, that's not my real name—it's my pen name, which I'll be using from now on, until maybe I come across an awesome new one.

I'm sure you're curious why I'd call myself by that name, and if you ask me, I promise my answer will be simple: it's because I'm honoring my mother. And no, before you start feeling sad or sorry for me, my mother is still alive and kicking. I say this because I simply love her, and though I'm not a perfect child to her—and sometimes she deserves better—she still loves me unconditionally.

Anyway, I'm about to write a series for you guys—a series called My Avatar's Advantage. I know the name may not sound very creative, but I won't lie: this name, and possibly this entire series, is inspired by a popular and beloved webnovel called The King's Avatar. You can say this series is written by its number one fan.

But obviously, this story might share some resemblance. And before you roll your eyes all the way to the back of your head, scoff, or even tsk, please—

This series won't be a cheap copy of that great and amazing web series. I'm not some kind of copycat. I simply took inspiration—like the idea of the protagonist becoming a player inside the game for real. And that alone doesn't come only from The King's Avatar. It's inspired by many great webcomics and web series like Sword Art Online, and of course, it would be wrong to leave out Overlord.

My series won't be like the ones I just mentioned. Sure, the concept may be similar, but I'm planning to make it different by adding different elements—not just different, but cool and awesome elements.

I know my story might not reach the level of others, whether it's reincarnation, transmigration, or progression stories—but it will be just as good as them. After all, if I don't believe in my own dream, who will?

This will be my first time writing something like this, and if you're going to read this series, it's only fair that I'm honest with you. I'm not saying this to scare you, but you will find endless mistakes as you read my story. Actually—no, let me correct that—you will definitely find too many errors, info-dumps along the way (apparently that's a thing with us writers), and elements inspired by various webnovel series like Author's POV, Shadow Slave, Solo Leveling, and many others.

When it comes to my main character, he'll adopt many personalities inspired by characters such as Sung Jin-Woo, Sunless, Ren Dover, Anos Voldigoad, and of course my favorite out of the anime Big Three—Ichigo Kurosaki.

So please, if you're going to check out this series, expect a lot of laughter between the characters. Expect emotions like pain and loss—but also love, true friendship, and support.

I won't spoil anything by telling you which tags to expect, but just know that I'll draw inspiration from many sources. Along the way, expect to see the main protagonist evolve—maybe from Sung Jin-Woo to Sunless, or even, if possible, Klein Moretti.

Before I close this, let me say thank you for giving this story a chance. Once again, please forgive the amateur mistakes you'll encounter. All of that will be made up for with a great storyline, amazing volumes, and awesome, well-received characters.

So don't forget to add this story to your collection. Don't forget to vote and comment. And most importantly, leave a review so I know where I can grow.

And finally, I'd like to say thank you to those who couldn't continue reading this story. Thank you for trying—every effort is appreciated.
