Chapter 2 - chapter 2[ RETURNING TOWARDS HILL HOME]

Wide shot:

The hill rises quietly under a darkening sky. Burn marks stain the road leading upward, and the wind carries the smell of ash.

Samaya walks alone.

Each step feels heavier than the last.

Close-up (Samaya's face):

His eyes are tired. Red. But steady.

He stops at the top of the hill.

This is where everything began.

Mind voice (Samaya):

They took my family… but they won't take this place.

He straightens his back.

"I will protect the Lower City," he says aloud, his voice calm but firm.

"No matter what happens to me."

A small smile appears on his face—not from happiness, but resolve.

Camera pan:

Samaya turns and begins walking back down toward the Lower City.

Scene shift → Lower City streets

Wide shot:

People stand near broken shops and burnt houses. When they see Samaya, their whispers spread.

"They're gone…"

"His parents…"

"He's alone now."

Medium shot:

No one stops him.

No one speaks to him.

Not because they hate him—but because they don't know how to help someone who has lost everything.

Mind voice:

They think I'm weak now. Because I'm alone.

Samaya keeps walking.

Scene shift → Burnt house

Close-up:

Blackened walls. Broken wood. The remains of a home.

Samaya kneels.

Beside him sits Bloody.

The creature tilts its head, watching him quietly. It doesn't understand tears. It doesn't understand loss.

But it stays.

Samaya whispers:

"It's okay… I'm here."

Bloody lets out a soft sound and sits closer.

From that moment, they are no longer master and beast.

They are friends.

Quiet moment

Close-up:

A small bowl of half-eaten food lies on the ground.

Samaya picks it up.

He hasn't eaten since morning.

Mind voice:

Food doesn't matter… not today.

As he lifts the bowl, a thin animal steps out from the shadows. Its ribs show. Its eyes are desperate.

It hasn't eaten for days.

Samaya pauses.

Then gently places the bowl down.

"Eat," he says softly.

The animal hesitates—then eats quickly. When it finishes, it looks at Samaya once… and runs away.

Sudden tension

Grass rustles.

Wide shot:

Multiple shapes move in the darkness—predators.

Bloody lunges forward, trying to protect Samaya.

But the predators are fast.

Too fast.

Close-up:

Bloody fails to catch them.

Samaya steps back.

Mind voice:

Not now…

Suddenly—

The grass shakes violently.

Reveal scene

Slow pan:

A boy steps out calmly from the tall grass.

He looks about Samaya's age.

His expression is peaceful. Too peaceful.

Close-up:

His eyes are blue like deep water, shining quietly like pearls.

He does not shout.

He does not panic.

He simply stands there.

Medium shot:

In his hand is a spear—simple in appearance, but powerful.

The air around him feels different.

Invisible pressure.

Samaya feels it.

Mind voice:

Mana… but I can't see it.

The predators freeze.

In one smooth motion, the boy lifts his spear.

The air ripples.

Water-like energy flashes—silent, precise.

The predators flee instantly.

Silence returns.

The boy looks at Samaya.

"My name is Neel," he says calmly.

"I sensed strong emotions here."

His gaze briefly shifts to Bloody.

Then back to Samaya.

Close-up on Samaya:

He doesn't know why… but for the first time since the Upper City—

He doesn't feel completely alone.

Final shot (wide):

Three figures stand under the night sky—

a boy with loss,

a creature born of blood,

and a calm stranger with water-blue eyes.

Neel and Samaya were talking quietly.

Suddenly, Neil started laughing.

He laughed hard.

Samaya frowned. "Why are you laughing at me?" he asked. "Both of you?"

Neel pointed at him, still laughing. "Your shoulder… your shoulder!"

Samaya looked down—and froze.

A big bird's poop was smeared across his shoulder.

For a second, there was silence.

Then Samaya groaned. "Seriously…?"

Neel laughed even more. Bloody made a strange sound, almost like it was laughing too.

Samaya sighed deeply. He didn't argue.

Without saying anything, he removed his cloth and walked toward the river. In the cold midnight air, he washed it quietly.

Mind voice (Samaya):

I lost my family… my home… and now this.

His stomach growled.

His feet hurt.

Neel heard it and looked surprised. "You're hungry?"

Samaya nodded slowly.

Neel reached into his bag. "I have some food today."

They sat together and ate—

Samaya, Neel, and Bloody.

For a short moment, all three of them were happy.

Midnight shelter

They built a small shelter using broken wood and cloth. The fire burned low.

Samaya and Neel fell into deep sleep.

But Bloody stayed awake.

Danger in the dark

A strange noise came from the bushes.

Bloody's body lowered. Ready.

Three figures appeared—half wolf, half reindeer. Animal eaters.

Bloody attacked.

Claws flashed. Shadows moved.

One fell.

Then another.

Then the third.

Bloody stood alone.

Bloody's instinct:

I am his right hand.

Neel saw everything from a distance.

His eyes widened.

Mind voice (Neil):

Shadow… void… this creature is powerful.

Morning

Samaya woke up suddenly.

The shelter was empty.

"Neel!"

"Bloody!"

His voice shook.

Moments later, they returned.

Neil carried mushrooms and vegetables. Bloody proudly dropped a fish.

Breakfast was simple—but good.

Bloody ate happily.

Neel smiled. "I'm hungry again. I want to eat yummy food like the author eats."

Samaya smiled faintly.

Sudden alarm

Noise rose from the Lower City.

Shouting. Chaos. Metal sounds.

The three of them ran.

They stopped near an office building.

Uniforms.

Symbols.

Government officers.

Bloody growled.

Samaya's anger flared.

Neel asked quietly, "Who is that?"

Samaya clenched his fists. "They're one of the rivals of our lives. The people who destroyed my family."

Neel stared at the symbol. "That logo… it looks like some kind of guru group."

Samaya shook his head. "No. They're government officers."

He turned away, frustrated. "Forget it. Think about what we saw today."

Samaya started running.

Tears fell.

"Samaya, wait!" Neil shouted, running after him.

But Samaya didn't stop.

He was crying…..

Samaya couldn't stop crying.

His shoulders shook as guilt crushed his chest.

"I should have protected them…" he whispered.

"I was too weak…"

Bloody slowly moved closer.

The creature gently placed a claw on Samaya's hand.

Samaya froze.

The warmth surprised him.

His breathing slowly calmed.

Neel watched quietly from a short distance, studying Samaya's face. After a moment, Neel smiled faintly.

Samaya noticed.

"Why are you laughing at me?" he asked, embarrassed.

Neel didn't answer.

Samaya wiped his tears and looked away.

Then he spoke softly, but firmly.

"Neel… promise me something."

Neel raised an eyebrow.

"Promise me we'll become warriors of the Lower City."

Neel didn't hesitate.

"Yes," he said.

They both laughed.

Not because things were okay—

but because for the first time, they weren't alone.

Scene shift → Jungle

Night crept in as the three of them entered the forest.

They split up to gather food.

Neel returned with strange items and spices he recognized from old survival knowledge.

Bloody proudly dragged back fresh fish.

Samaya returned last.

On his shoulder—

A massive beast.

Its body was thick, its horns twisted—

three horns rising from its head.

Neel stared.

"…You killed that alone?"

Samaya shrugged tiredly.

As they talked, Neel suddenly noticed something near the camp.

A plant.

Its shape looked wrong.

Its vines curved like legs.

"A spider-plant…" Neel muttered.

"Poisonous."

But exhaustion dulled their caution.

They ignored it.

Night camp

The fire burned steadily.

Meat roasted.

Fish cooked slowly.

For the first time in days, Samaya ate until he felt full.

They laughed. Talked. Rested.

Bloody curled near the fire.

Neel leaned back, staring at the stars.

Samaya lay down silently.

For one night—

The world felt kind.

All three fell asleep.

Unaware.
