The wizarding world is filled with strange things and occurrences.
They come suddenly and leave swiftly. No one knows how or why.
Those trivial details, the countless small and large events, constitute what we call life.
Life is just like that: things happen, you experience them, and you can only accept them. In this way, every different person lives until now, achieving their own unique life.
Rey felt that his experience of time travel was very magical, but the experience of this Fallen Werewolf kneeling on the ground was no less extraordinary.
The Fallen Werewolf's name was Martin Stemple, a Frenchman.
A very ordinary Frenchman who immigrated to England at the age of twenty. However, in an English forest, he was injured by a Fallen Werewolf.
Thus, he logically became a descendant of the Fallen Werewolves.
When he became a werewolf and transformed for the first time, he fainted. But at that very moment, he opened the door to the spiritual world and entered another magical realm.
A lush, green world where he drank water from a Moonwell.
This must be the Elven holy water Rowena mentioned.
Besides the holy water from the Moonwell, he also brought back a crystal from that world.
The holy water allowed him to maintain a clear mind after transforming into a werewolf. The crystal allowed him to control his werewolf transformations freely.
This was a miracle; his experience was definitely no less incredible than Rey's time travel.
Before searching his memory, such an experience sounded like a story one wouldn't dare imagine, but now it was a fact laid bare before his eyes.
This man named Martin Stemple was thirty-five years old this year, an investment manager. For decades, as he claimed, he hadn't killed indiscriminately.
He hadn't killed many people, only a few. All of them were people who actively sought trouble with him. Of course, the three corpses lying in the basement now—the two bodyguards among them—deserved to die. Working under a crime boss, who didn't have a few innocent lives on their hands?
Martin didn't attack these two bodyguards first. Because they couldn't leave the basement and their fear of Martin deepened, causing a mental imbalance, they attacked first, so Martin slapped them to death with one paw.
A werewolf who could control his transformation was indeed a very special case in the wizarding world.
Fortunately, Martin knew his ability was conspicuous and kept the fact that he was a werewolf hidden. Precisely because of this, he had lived until now.
However, even so, after a recent transformation, he was still caught by Ephest.
With the ability to control werewolf transformation at will, even if Ephest hadn't caught him, the Ministry of Magic would have controlled him once they knew.
Whether in the ordinary world or the magical world, he was an anomaly.
What is an anomaly? Someone not accepted by the social group is called an anomaly. Moreover, he was an anomaly with great research value.
regarding such an encounter, Rey could only say that this is the sorrow of an ordinary person possessing magic.
---
Since obtaining the power to control his werewolf transformation, Martin had been researching magic on his own for decades.
Using the crystal he brought back to track and locate pre-set items was one of them. And the Blood Oath, a magic performed with fresh blood, was also one of his research results.
He didn't know much magic; after all, he only awakened the meager magic in his body after turning from an ordinary person into a werewolf.
The Blood Oath, this magic does exist.
According to Rowena, there are many kinds of Blood Oaths. Some are sworn by two people together, and some are unilateral allegiance.
This magic belongs to high-level dark magic. Unexpectedly, Martin figured out some tricks based on legends.
Martin's Blood Oath magic wasn't complete, but that didn't matter at all. As long as he knew this magic, he possessed the foundation to cast it.
He didn't need to understand the prototype of the magic because Rowena, the Queen of the Evil Spirit Valley, knew dark magic very well. She had more perfect magic to use.
Under Rowena's guidance, Martin Stemple completed a unilateral Blood Oath of allegiance. From now on, he could only be loyal to Rey.
If Rey died, he would definitely die. Besides being loyal to the death, there was no second path to take.
Someone swearing allegiance with a Blood Oath gave Rey a vague sense of this person's existence. If he wanted to, perhaps with a single thought, he could take the other's life at any time.
This feeling was somewhat like a god.
A god who could control the life and death of mortals at will.
Shaking his head, he cleared his mind from that incredible feeling.
"This is dark magic, tempting you anytime, anywhere. But you snapped out of the temptation really fast."
Rowena's voice sounded in Rey's mind, with much admiration in her words.
"I'm no bullshit god, just an ordinary person."
Responding to Rowena in his heart, Rey signaled Martin to stand up, then spewed blue fire from his mouth, melting the chains that locked him.
After doing all this, Rey turned back into human form. The tall Martin stood obediently in front of Rey, waiting for him to give orders.
"You need that crystal to turn back, right?" Rey asked to confirm.
"Yes, it was taken by that man named Sokes."
"He's at the helipad outside; you can go find it yourself. Give me an address where I can find you. When I need your help, I'll find you."
Rey ordered, not being polite to Martin. Sometimes being too polite to people might make them panic. After all, his life was held in Rey's hands.
"Okay. Number 18 Privet Drive, that's where I live."
Martin answered and stepped onto the stone stairs to leave. But he was immediately stopped by Rey.
"Wait, do you know where Ephest's vault is?"
Rey asked without much hope. After all, very few people should know about the vault, and Martin had been locked here as a research subject. Although he had been locked up long enough, he might not have seen as much of this building as Rey.
"This, maybe it's on the next level down. In the laboratory hall, there is another elevator entrance."
Martin seemed somewhat unsure. After speaking, seeing Rey nod, he bowed and squeezed out the door.
---
Outside had become a sea of fire, but for an unbounded werewolf, wanting to get out shouldn't be difficult. At most, it would just burn off the hair on his body.
The laboratory hall had long been occupied by flames.
Rey transformed again, returned to this area, and searched repeatedly in the ruins of the fire. Finally, he found the hidden elevator entrance in a wall.
He pulled open the valve and jumped down.
Unexpectedly, beneath this laboratory, there was actually another level.
However, upon entering and scanning the area...
This level wasn't a vault, but a storage point for experimental corpses and various reagents.
He didn't find the vault, but he found the so-called criminal grounds of these demons in human skin.
Rey spewed blue dragon fire, igniting this place into a sea of fire again, then quickly left.
It was good that this manor burned. Not finding the vault wasn't too disappointing. The money in hand was already enough.
---
In the dark night, a Black Dragon rushed out of the sea of fire.
Looking around, the mountains and forests were all on fire. Those who had escaped were nowhere to be seen.
Presumably, those lucky enough not to die had already fled this place.
The manor fire had a tendency to spread into a forest fire. Once ignited, its power would be significant.
Martin Stemple was also gone. Seeing the helicopter wreckage overturned, presumably, he had found the crystal. After all, he had a special connection with the crystal; with that vague connection, finding it wouldn't be difficult.
Things had come to an end. The roar of a helicopter sounded in the distance.
Presumably, the fire here had been discovered in London, and a helicopter had been dispatched to check.
Rey flapped his wings hard, rapidly pulling up and climbing, quickly blending into the dark night.
Today was indeed tiring; he felt somewhat exhausted at this moment. After all, since transforming into a Black Dragon, today was the most times he had breathed fire.
It seemed that even transforming into a Black Dragon, magic power wasn't inexhaustible. The road to becoming stronger was still very, very long.
