A few moments earlier...
Cael and Mira quickly ran toward the pillar of silver.
When they arrived, they saw Luke single-handedly overpowering a gray-haired old vampire.
Cael stopped at a distance and observed the situation carefully.
But something felt strange.
'Why isn't Luke using his Light and Dark elements?'
'He isn't the type to play around when so many lives are at risk.'
'Why is he using a sword when he was a dagger user?'
'Did he have some sort of plan in mind?'
Then, suddenly, the old vampire activated the ritual array.
His hoarse voice echoed across the formation.
"Now... even if you kill me, the people here will die!"
Cael's eyes widened.
But he still didn't act immediately.
Instead, he watched Luke closely.
Luke was swinging his sword relentlessly, yet he still wasn't using any elements or skills that could stop the ritual.
And that confirmed it.
Luke seemed unable to use them.
