Afraid she would try to harm me, I went to the police station and reported the situation. After the police had been camping out around my place for a month, she didn't come around. I felt relieved, and after the month, the police stopped coming around.
During that time, things got rocky in my life. I lost my job. That didn't break me down, but a week after losing my job, I got a call that my mother was in the hospital due to a brain tumor that made her collapse and sent her into a coma. The day after, she died.
I fell into depression and stopped going outside, but I picked myself back up. I still felt like I couldn't do anything. I was empty. After finding another job and starting to work again, I could take my mind off my mother's death.
But as months passed, I could feel someone following me again. It was the same girl as before. I was going to report it, but because I felt unnoticed and unacknowledged by anyone, I found solace in the fact that this girl had gone out of her way to follow me around.
