Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Return to the Factory

The streets were quiet now, but the air hummed with lingering tension. Nuclear chaos had scarred the world in unseen ways, and rumors of cosmic disturbances had begun circulating among those who could sense them.

Maya adjusted her backpack nervously. "Are you sure this is safe, Yoguruma?"

Yoguruma Mugen grinned, despite the bruises still forming on his stomach from earlier antics. "Safe? Maybe. Exciting? Absolutely. And… I kinda want to see this Void Mecha everyone keeps talking about."

They navigated the twisted alleys and broken roads leading to the Deus Machina factory, its massive gates still scorched from the battles of Mecha Dead End. Dust swirled in the wind, and the hum of dormant machinery echoed faintly through the colossal halls.

Maya's eyes widened as she stepped inside. "It's… huge. And so quiet. Almost too quiet."

Yoguruma peeked around a corner. "Yeah… and where's Chris?"

Maya ignored him, her gaze fixed on the central hangar. There it was. Void Mecha, slumped slightly in its dock, arms crossed, systems dormant. The glow of the God of Sword still pulsed faintly along its frame, like a heartbeat.

Maya approached cautiously. "Hey… are you okay?" she whispered, almost as if speaking to a living being rather than a machine.

A faint hum answered. Lights flickered along Void Mecha's chest, then brighter along the blades. Systems slowly came online.

Yoguruma stepped forward, arms wide. "Whoa! She's alive! Or… it's alive? I don't know what to call this thing!"

Maya chuckled nervously, shaking her head. "Yoguruma… focus. We need to make sure it's fully operational. Chris… he's out there, and if Azadeadthoendth comes back…" Her voice trailed off, the unspoken threat heavy in the air.

Void Mecha's eyes glowed, scanning the factory. The God of Sword's pulse synchronized with an internal system check. Slowly, it lifted its arms, flexed its fingers, and the hum of energy filled the room.

Maya exhaled, relief and awe mixing. "It's… ready."

Yoguruma nodded, excitement clear in his eyes. "Well… that's convenient. But, uh… now what? Do we wait for Chris, or do we just, you know… go punch some gods?"

Maya shot him a look. "Let's hope it doesn't come to that… yet."

Outside, a faint ripple passed across the sky. Somewhere, far beyond this world, Azadeadthoendth stirred, its awakening already shaking the foundations of reality. And the factory, dormant for so long, was now a beacon of hope and a target for what was to come.
