Lancet stepped into the chariot, taking the bench opposite Spectra and Opaline. The leather creaked under his weight.
The chariot's interior was far more spacious than its exterior suggested. It was enchanted, no doubt, to accommodate comfort on long journeys.
Taking one look at Spectra, he suddenly remembered Thor who was still anchored and running a mission for him with Espel. He reached into his coat and pulled out another cylinder.
With a pop that drew attention, he uncorked it and downed the contents in one motion.
Opaline tilted her head, watching with undisguised curiosity. "What is that?"
"Magical supplements."
Lancet looked at her for a moment. Considering how much her family depended on her powers, he was surprised they had not practically filled her with supplements every day. "They contain both Grace and Gloom. I have to Separate them before I can use them properly."
