Chapter 1 - when there eyes meet

Synonyms

Yash Malhotra—the only son of Mumbai's most powerful businessman.

As charming as he was irresistibly cute, his world revolved around just two people: his closest friends, Aahan and Nayara. For Yash, they were his family, his comfort, his entire universe.

But destiny had other plans.

One ordinary day, his eyes collided with Ishaan's—a boy who worked quietly in a small café, living a life far removed from Yash's glamorous world. In that fleeting moment, something shifted. It felt as if time itself had stopped, as if the world had gone silent—leaving behind only a strange, unfamiliar ache in the heart.

Neither of them understood it then.

Fate brought them together once again… in the same college. What began as accidental encounters slowly turned into lingering glances, unspoken conversations, and a closeness neither could deny. Without realizing when or how, that closeness transformed into love—deep, tender, and dangerously sincere.

But was it truly destiny that was pulling two hearts closer?

Or was it a carefully woven conspiracy—one that Yash was completely unaware of?

Because sometimes, love doesn't just happen…

Sometimes, it is planned.

Chapter - 1

Night had picked up its pace inside a big bar in Mumbai.

The lights were dim, the music's bass was vibrating through the air, and the scent of expensive perfumes floated all around. Amid that crowd, a boy sat at the bar counter—barely around eighteen, yet carrying the personality of a mature twenty-two-year-old model.

His complexion was a wheatish brown, and his eyes were hazel brown, intoxicating, glowing dangerously in the dim light. He sat with his friends, taking small sips of alcohol as if he had no worries in the world.

Just then, a girl walked up to him—the click of her high heels, the faint sweet fragrance of her perfume, and the charm on her face clearly showed she was someone who stood out in any crowd.

She sat down on the stool beside him and simply kept staring at him. One second, two seconds—her eyes seemed to be stuck on him.

The boy understood her gaze. A slow, crooked smile appeared on his face, and looking at her in a light, playful yet seductive tone, he said, "What is it, baby? Am I looking too charming?"

As soon as he said that, a mix of shyness and mischief spread across the girl's face. She slowly stood up, moved closer, and placed her hand on his chest. Her touch was warm, seductive—and for a moment, the boy's breath caught. She leaned very close to his ear and whispered in her velvety voice, "Very charming… and such a charming boy sitting here all alone?"

The boy didn't even blink. As the girl started to pull away, he suddenly grabbed her hand and with a gentle tug pulled her onto his lap. The girl's heartbeat quickened. Smiling near her ear, he said, "Get rid of my loneliness, baby doll…"

Blushing, the girl placed her hands on his shoulders and said, "Why me? You're so handsome… you must already have a girlfriend!"

Hearing this, the boy leaned even closer, so close that his breath brushed against her face. "Not yet, sweetheart… but seeing you, it feels like I'll get one now."

Then, sensually tracing his fingers over her palms, he said, "If I had found a beautiful girl like you, I'd have made you my girlfriend long ago."

Hearing this, the girl grew extremely shy, an uncontrollable smile spreading across her lips. Then the boy slowly began kissing her neck—soft, warm, and dangerously close. From her neck, his fingers traced up to her face. Holding her face, just as he was about to kiss her lips—

Suddenly— another girl appeared from behind and said loudly, "I need to talk to you!"

The boy stopped.

He placed a light kiss on the first girl's cheek, pulled out a small card from his pocket, and handed it to her. "Baby… we'll talk on the call. I have to go."

The girl's eyes filled with sadness. She stood up, while the girl standing in front glared at her angrily, as if she could burn her with her eyes.

Yash stood up.

That girl grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the exit. The girl left behind could only watch them go, her eyes filled with silent jealousy.

Outside, the driver opened the car door, but neither of them got in. The girl let go of Yash's hand, glared at him, and said in frustrated anger, "Yash, you were flirting with those girls again!"

Yash stepped very close to her, so close that his warm breath touched her face. "Why… were you feeling jealous? Seeing me with someone else?"

His voice was low but dangerous.

With Yash this close, Nayra's heart started pounding hard.

Controlling herself, she pushed him away and, turning around, said, "Tomorrow is our first day of college… if you're late, I'll leave you and go."

Saying this, she immediately got into the car.

Yash smiled, watching her every move, and then got into the car as well. The driver locked the doors and started the car.

After some time, the car stopped in front of Nayra's house. Yash softly said "bye" to her and left.

A little later, Yash stopped his car near the gates of his mansion—a huge, luxurious, royal-looking home. He went inside, reached his room, changed his clothes, and the moment he fell onto the bed, he drifted into a deep sleep.

The night slowly turns over and passes by.

It's already 9 in the morning.

Yash, as usual, is sleeping sprawled out comfortably.

Just then, his phone rings.

Half-asleep, he fumbles for it and says in a heavy, sleepy voice—

"Who is disturbing Yash Malhotra so early in the morning?"

From the other side comes a sharp, irritated voice—

"Yash! You're still sleeping? If you don't come within 15 minutes, I'll leave with Ahaan!"

Saying this, Naira cuts the call.

Yash opens his eyes and mutters to himself—

"This girl will drive me crazy every morning…"

Annoyed, he goes to the bathroom, gets ready in a hurry, and comes downstairs, where the servants have already laid out his breakfast.

After finishing it, he sits in the car—

"Take me to Naira's mansion!"

After a while, the car stops in front of Naira's house.

Naira is already waiting outside.

She gets into the car, and both of them head to college.

Meanwhile, at a small café in Mumbai—

Sunshine Café…

A 45-year-old woman, Anjali, speaks lovingly yet worriedly to the boy standing in front of her—

"Son, you've just been admitted to college… you should focus on your studies."

The boy—Ishaan—with a soft, innocent, heart-touching smile replies—

"It's okay, sweetheart… I'll manage both work and studies.

And today the café completes 10 years. I can't leave you alone on such a day."

Anjali's eyes shine with motherly affection.

Sunshine Café was small, but full of warmth.

And the biggest reason for that warmth was Ishaan.

Six feet tall, blue-eyed, fair-skinned—simple yet extremely charming.

His clothes were plain, but the innocence on his face and his impressive personality drew everyone toward him.

Girls came just to see him—but Ishaan never even looked up at anyone.

At Parang University—

Today was Yash's first day.

As soon as he enters with Naira and Ahaan, several girls surround them.

Yash and Ahaan start flirting with them, laughing.

Naira gets irritated and drags both of them away from the crowd.

No one dared to rag Yash—

After all, Yash Malhotra was the son of the university trustee and the captain of the football team.

When the principal hears about Yash's arrival,

he personally comes to welcome him.

After coming downstairs, the principal greets Yash and his friends, shakes hands with them, and himself walks Yash to his class.

Silence spreads everywhere, as if time itself has stopped in the entire university.

Such warmth from the principal was rarely seen… and such respect for a student was beyond anyone's imagination.

Seeing this, the whole university is shocked, because it was very rare for the principal to treat any student like this.

Within a short time, Yash and his friends reach the classroom.

All eyes are fixed on Yash—some with jealousy, some with surprise, and some drawn by his strange charm.

After entering the class, the principal stands in front and introduces Yash to everyone, talking about his qualities and achievements.

There was pride in his words, respect… and the way he looked at Yash felt as if he had known him for a very long time.

While the principal keeps praising Yash, the entire class is busy staring at Yash's looks—

his attitude-filled eyes, his confidence, and that slight smile—everything makes them fall silent for a moment.

Just then, Naira leans toward Yash's ear and whispers—

"Yash, why is this principal praising you so much? You're not like this at all… you're actually very mean!"

Hearing this, Yash flicks Naira's head hard with his fingers.

Seeing this playful attitude, Ahaan sitting behind them starts laughing.

His laughter carries the fun and affection of old friendship.

Then the principal calls out the name of the student sitting in front—Kartik,

the class topper, quiet and good-looking.

But Kartik's entire focus is only on Naira standing in front.

The hidden crush in his eyes is clearly visible.

So the principal snaps his fingers near Kartik's face and loudly calls—

"Kartik!"

Only then does Kartik come back to his senses and stammer—

"Yes sir… did you say something?"

Hearing this, the entire class bursts into laughter.

The laughter is playful, but Kartik's cheeks turn slightly red with embarrassment.

In a cold voice, the principal says—

"Are you sleeping with your eyes open during the day?"

In his innocent voice, Kartik replies—

"No sir… sorry sir!"

There is fear in his voice and embarrassment in front of Naira.

The principal then orders Kartik to leave his seat and go sit on the back bench.

Poor Kartik, unwillingly, has to give up his seat.

As he leaves, his eyes remain fixed on Naira—as if something was left incomplete.

On the other hand, Ishaan spends the entire day busy working at the café.

There is slight tiredness on his face, but his blue eyes still hold the same old calmness and seriousness.

On the chair opposite him, a girl sits down with her friend.

She's wearing a mini skirt and a short crop top.

The way she walks, the way she sits—everything reflects a rich lifestyle glow.

Her friend places the order, and both sit waiting for the food.

The girl in the mini dress keeps staring at Ishaan.

Her friend nudges her and says—

"Enough, Samaira. Do you want to eat pizza or just fill your stomach by staring at Ishaan?"

Hearing this, Samaira replies—

"One day I'll eat him too. Don't worry."

Her smile holds both mischief and desire.

Soon, their order is ready.

Ishaan brings the dishes to their table and says—

"Enjoy your dish, ma'am."

Samaira grabs his hand and, in a seductive voice, says—

"Sam… just call me Sam."

Saying this, she stands close to his ear and whispers—

"Are you free this evening? Let's go somewhere and enjoy."

Ishaan's face turns cold instantly.

There was a wall inside him—one that no girl could cross so easily.

He pulls his hand away and says in a cold voice—

"No. And I'm not interested."

His words hit straight at the heart.

Samaira's face tightens with anger, her eyes narrowing.

Before she can say anything, her friend grabs her hand—

"Not now, yaar… there are too many people here."

Samaira stops, but her eyes clearly say—

"This story is not ending so easily."

Without eating, she leaves the café.

Her steps are filled with anger, ego, and a strange obsession.

Slowly, time passes…

It's now 4 in the evening.

Yash and his friends' classes are almost over.

Ahaan says—

"Come on, yaar! Let's party somewhere to celebrate our first day of college!"

All three faces light up instantly.

First day… new university… new life… and this freedom.

Yash and Naira sit in the same car.

Sitting together was normal for them, but today Naira keeps smiling at him a little more—and Yash notices it.

Ahaan sits in his own car, and all three leave the college.

After going some distance, Naira notices Sunshine Café, beautifully decorated—

lights, ribbons, flowers… happiness spread all around.

She immediately says—

"Yash, let's go to this café today! We've never been here before."

Yash replies—

"Okay… if you want to go, let's go. I'll call Ahaan here too."

The car stops near the café.

After a while, Ahaan also arrives.

All three go inside.

The entire café is filled with joy—because today is its 10th anniversary.

Just then, Naira's eyes fall on Ishaan, and she says to Yash—

"Yaar, look at that guy… he looks so good, right?"

Yash rolls his eyes and says—

"Impossible! There can't be anyone more good-looking than Yash Malhotra."

Ahaan insists—

"Dude, just look at him once!"

And then…

As soon as Yash's eyes meet Ishaan's—

something strange, a light tremor, runs through him.

Tall height, fair skin, attractive blue eyes,

and dressed in a black shirt—he looks deadly.

For that moment, time seems to stop.

At the same time, Ishaan's eyes also fall on Yash…

Both their gazes lock for a moment.

Their breaths pause slightly…

and their hearts beat a second late.

Suddenly, Yash comes back to his senses, places a hand on his chest, and thinks—

"What was that? Why am I looking at him like this?"

Thank you
