Chapter 8 - A Boy Trapped in the Dream WorldSeason 2 – Part 2: The Beginning of Magic

After that, Elvin asks the old man,

"Uncle, what is the secret of this magical world?"

Warmeo looks at him calmly and replies,

"This world is a maze of illusions. From here, only you must find your own way out."

Then he adds gently,

"But first, let us have breakfast."

They sit together and eat in silence.

After a while, Elvin asks,

"Uncle, what do you do in this world?"

Warmeo answers,

"Elvin, my son, I guide those who come here from the real world. I teach them magic so they may return to where they belong. But sadly, if someone fails to learn this magic properly, they remain trapped here forever."

He pauses, then continues,

"So far, no one has ever escaped this magical world. You are the twenty-thousandth person I am going to teach."

Elvin is shocked.

Warmeo warns him seriously,

"My son, stay away from the king's son of this world. He is cruel and wicked. He possesses Infinite Magic."

Elvin asks,

"What is Infinite Magic?"

Warmeo explains,

"Infinite Magic is a terrifying power. It can control a person's mind and force them to obey the magician's will."

He adds,

"That prince's name is Jofra, and his father—the King of Stella—is even worse. The people call him the evil ruler of the magical world."

After a moment, Warmeo says,

"Come, my son. I will begin teaching you magic."

First, he trains Elvin to calm his mind and control his thoughts.

Then he hands him a book and says,

"Remember this well. There are two paths to learning magic. One is a shortcut—it teaches quickly, but gives no true power. The other is a long path. It requires patience, but it brings real strength."

Elvin bows slightly and replies,

"Yes, Uncle Warmeo."

After that, Elvin says,

"Uncle, let us go outside for a while."

Warmeo agrees.

As Elvin steps outside, his eyes widen in amazement.

People are flying freely through the sky.

Some beings are half-human and half-animal.

Fairies glow as they float through the air like living lights.

"Uncle," Elvin says softly,

"this world is truly amazing."

Warmeo replies calmly,

"My son, all of this is nothing but an illusion of the eyes."

From a distance, a girl calls out,

"Hello, Uncle Warmeo. How are you?"

"I am fine," Warmeo replies. "And how is my friend Marnus?"

"He is well, Uncle," the girl says, and walks away.

Elvin asks curiously,

"Uncle, who was she?"

Warmeo replies,

"She is my friend's daughter. Her name is Meera. She knows Lido Magic."

Elvin asks,

"What is Lido Magic?"

Warmeo explains,

"Lido Magic can paralyze a person for a few moments. It can also send someone to another world for a short time."

Elvin says in amazement,

"Oh, Uncle… that magic is incredible."

Then he asks,

"Uncle, what magic do you know?"

Warmeo replies proudly,

"My son, I possess the Sigil of Truth Magic."

He explains,

"This magic can recognize other spells, break powerful magic, and help escape even the strongest illusions. It is the greatest form of magic. My master—the True Master—taught it to me."

Elvin asks,

"What was the True Master's name?"

Warmeo thinks for a moment.

"Something like… Giso. I do not remember clearly. That was nearly twenty-five thousand years ago."

Elvin is stunned.

"Twenty-five thousand years ago?"

Warmeo nods slowly.

"Yes, my son."

Elvin then asks nervously,

"Uncle… how old are you?"

Warmeo smiles faintly.

"I do not know exactly. But probably more than fifty thousand years."

Elvin gasps.

"Oh my God… you have lived for so long!"

They return to the house.

Suddenly, Warmeo hands Elvin a strange, dark book and says,

"Elvin, my son, I am giving you a special book. Its name is The Lily Black Magic Book. Read it carefully—and never read it in front of anyone."

Elvin asks,

"But why, Uncle?"

Warmeo replies quietly,

"This book holds a secret that I cannot tell you yet."

Without another word, he walks away.
