``Azrael seemed off today'' I say as I look at Hermes the god of tricksters.``isn't he always i mean he kills people for a living i would imagine that he would be off'' Hermes said as he leaned against the wall of the castle crossing his arms over his chest. ``well yeah i get that but i mean it he was different today he wasn't like himself it's like he's a different person'' i say as i look around before speaking again but in a lower tone.``he just kept staring at me listening to me watching every movement i made wouldn't you think that's weird?'' Hermes paused for a second to think before a huge grin came across his face as he spoke in a singing like tone.``maybe the death has a crush on you did you ever think of that?'' I look at Hermes in disbelief as I shake my head, waving my hand slightly. ``no that's impossible, a prince of death and me the prince of life that would never work and you know that Hermes so stop thinking like that it's ridiculous'' Hermes shakes his head slightly as his grin shrinks a little but is still there. ``fine i won't say no more of this topic but a grim reaper and an angel of life falling in love would be a great story topic to make'' i roll my eyes before i look at Hermes ``yeah yeah whatever just don't tell anyone we talked about this and i know you find that hard to do but promise me you wont tell anyone even mother'' Hermes sighs ``fine but if mother does ask you know we have to tell we can't disobey her i'll try my best to not open my mouth to that topic'' i nod slightly ``i know i know just promise you won't. promise?'' I say as I hold my hand towards him. ``promise'' Hermes says as he grabs my hand and shakes it gently before letting go. ``thank you'' i say as i watch him turn to leave. ``yeah no problem friend'' he says before floating away. I sigh as I walk to a meadow touching flower buds as I walk past watching them turn to large beautiful flowers. I walk to a cliff as I stand there watching the birds and mountains in the distance. As I look down I can see Azrael tending to the humans and animals on earth as I sit down on the cliff dangling my legs off the ledge as I watch him. As I sit there I notice he sees me above. I wave gently with a smile but I see him turn away quickly and move to his next place. ``Maybe he's just too busy?'' I think as I stand up and take the stairs to earth as I start to do my part in healing plants and the broken. As I heal a rose bush I hear a noise from the side as I look over its Azrael backing up towards me as I smirk slightly before speaking.``careful you might bump into me again'' Azreal spun around almost immediately as he looked up at me. His black eyes seemed scared or even a little cautious? ``why are you here phanes i thought hermes was talking to you and he takes forever normally.'' I sigh as I look at him trying to read his face but it didn't work this time. ``well I came to do my part down here on earth as you know if you only roamed it the whole planet might just die'' Azreal nodded slightly as he looked at the rose i just healed before looking back at me. ``right i forgot but i really do need to get back to my job'' i look at him as i tilt my head slightly as i look at his list for a second seeing its finished. (Is he avoiding me?) I nod as I smile lightly. ``yeah your right see you around right?'' Azreal hesitates slightly as he rolls his list up and dips his head walking off. I wait until he's out of sight as I look at the town as I go to a roof of a building and stand there watching the townspeople dance and at their little shop. I noticed a couple. I looked in closer to see the two dancing happily as the blonde male smiled widely and the black haired male laughed as he dipped the blonde. (they seem happy together)
I stand there for a little while watching the couple dance and be happy together before they disappear in the crowd of people. Phanes stood there for a little bit before he walked back up to the kingdom of the gods and went into his kingdom's castle. As he went to his room even though he knows he can't sleep due to the fact he's a god of life. (I wonder what Azrael is doing right now), he thought before walking to his balcony and leaned on his railing looking at the kingdom of Darkness. I stood there looking at the differences from our kingdom. I noticed that their kingdom seemed sad and depressing and if possible could use a little lighting up from the sun but that's probably never going to happen ever. I look at the gods kingdom border and the kingdom of darkness border seeing how its a straight deep gap across one side to the other alive and the other dead looking like ashes from an old fire that used to be there. ``did the kingdom of darkness ever have light it looks like it used to be like a fire but turned into ashes when shut out i mean that could explain why everything Azrael touches turns dead or into ashes.'' Phanes thought to himself. Before a knock came from his door. ``oh um come in i guess?'' it was Fawn the god of Animals as Fawn entered the room a baby caff (cow) followed closely behind looking unwell for a baby caff as it let out a sick like moo. ``Moo….'' Phanes stood there for a second before taking a step forward towards Fawn to greet them. ``oh hello Fawn what can I owe the pleasure of you coming into my chambers?'' Fawn gave a slight smile before touching the top of the caff's head with their fingertips gently. ``hello Phane's i came here because this Caff is sick this little guy eat some of the grass one the kingdom of darkness and that grass isn't good for him i want wondering if you could help heal him?'' Phanes crouched down to the caff and held his hand out.``come forward little caff dont be scared i can help get that sickness away from you'' he said, extending his hand forward as the caff hesitated for a second before taking a step and putting its head on Phanes palm with a small moo. ``moo…'' Phanes smiles softly before scooting forward and using his other hand to heal as he placed his hand on the caff's stomach gently as his hand glowed slightly with a golden glow of light as he was healing the caff slowly. ``how did the caff even get to the kingdom of darkness's grass there's a gap you can cross and it's not like the caff can fly over it.'' Fawn looked at Phanes rubbing their arm before speaking. ``the caff found a tree that leaned into both sides of the gap and so i told mother because the darkness cant get to our side and well mother told Stormy to cut that tree down so no one can ever get to the other side´´ Phanes stood up immediately as his eyes widened slightly. ``you mean that tree that is half dead and alive?Fawn gave a simple nod before Phanes pushed past and ran down the halls with panic rising in him as he bolted down halls each step he took felt like a weight of chains on his ankles trying to hold him back. Phanes got outside and ran to the tree where two gods became friends since birth and hid their friendship away from everyone. As he got to the tree he fell to his knees to see Stormy pushing the last branch into the deep hole as Phanes stared at the tree watching that tree fall he put a hand over his mouth as he held back his emotions burning inside of him as he wanted so desperately to dive towards that tree and put it back but it was too late. A sickening thud was heard as the tree hit the bottom Phanes flinched slightly at the noise as he looked at the other side seeing Azrael standing there Scythe in hand looking thorn.
