"Here comes the five Celestials!"
It as crowdy and noisy in the town. The town was filled with people crazy about these five people. Not only were they good looking, they were powerful. And there had been no record of any one defeating them.
''Look at Aurel, so handsome", a girl gushed in the crowd.
"I just like the way he is calm and unperturbed about anything in the world. It even makes him more hot", another girl squeaked in the crowd.
The five celestials have just come back from a mission, a difficult one of suppressing the demons from evading the immortal realm. The immortal realm protects the mortal realm. In short words , it is the defense line of the mortal world. If the immortal world goes down , then the mortal world is finished.
"Liars, Jinu is the hottest. He defeated five high tier beasts in one minute. Aurel is hot but look, he is not bothered by anything. Always sleeping. Would he find time to date ?" another girl in the crowd said .
"What she is saying is true. He prefers sleeping to anything in the world. I heard even on the battle field , he sleeps." a man that looked in his forties said.
"Really, then how does he fight then?" the first girl asked surprised.
"He really is a coward. How is he still in the elite team? He just has a handsome face. I told you Jinu is the catch", the second girl said triumphantly.
Aurel walked tiredly through the crowd with his team mates. His team mates were busy smiling and waving at the crowd. He felt he really needed a good sleep. He could hear the conversations and gossips that were going on.
"Bunch of useless people. I thought gossiping was for women with no aim. I didn't realize even men do that", he yawned and continued his journey.
The team finally reached their quarters. They usually have a meeting after every mission. Aurel found his way to his bedroom as soon as his leg entered the quarters. He went straight to sleep.
"Wait!" Aleena called out to Aurel but as usual Aurel listens to nobody but himself.
"Captain, this is getting out of hand", Aleena was getting furious with Aurel day by day. Aleena was the beauty of the team. With her fair skin like snow and her blonde hair with deep blue eyes would make any man fall for her. She once had a crush on Aurel and tried to win his heart but Aurel bluntly told her to fuck off and shouldn't disturb his sleep in a polite manner. This made Aleena grow hatred for him because no one rejects her. And what really annoyed her the more was that Aurel would choose sleep over her.
"Man, she is right", Keinen the team's clown was in agreement.
"He doesn't do anything in the team. Even on the battle field, he was sleeping peacefully under an olive tree", Balto , the team's strategist added.
Jinu rested his arm on the table and sighed.
"There's really nothing I can do. I reported him to the echelons and..."
"And?" Balto was curious and glad that they were finally getting rid of him.
"They said he should still be on the team and warned us against reporting him again", Jinu said.
"What!", all of them exclaimed.
"Yes, the board said that and they said we should let him be", he continued.
"Tch, this is insane. How can they let him be even falling asleep when your team mates are in danger". Aleena complained.
"I mean, he is always tired to fight and even help us", Keinen added.
"Hmph, it is not like he is powerful or something. He just has average talent", Aleena scoffed.
"The last time you saw him use his power was about 1000 years ago", Balto said.
"I wondered how he became immortal and ascended to immortality", Jinu said quietly.
He knew the reason why he wanted Aurel gone for good. Truth is the rumor going around saying he killed five high tier demonic beasts in a minute wasn't him but Aurel. He did it by just staring at them. Jinu wanted Aurel gone for good so he could claim it for himself. Luckily, it was only he that knew Aurel was powerful than them.
The bickering and complaints continued for a long time , that the noise got to Aurel's room.
"These damn people, they would not let me sleep in peace. Always arguing about me and complaining too . Damn humans", Aurel grunted and stood up.
It wasn't a lie that he slept on battle fields and slept almost all his life but he couldn't help it. It wasn't his fault though. He got up, packed his belongings which weren't many and got out of his room.
He first went to the conference room where the team was having their useless complaints. The complaints stop immediately he entered the hall with his bag full of his belongings.
"Oh, did I interrupt something important? Why is the place quiet like a cemetery when I entered?" Aurel yawned.
"You know your useless bickering didn't help me get a good sleep. So I am off, to find a perfect place to sleep without you guys bothering me", he continued.
"So, you quit. Is that what you are trying to say?"Jinu asked.
"You heard me right. I quit. To hell with your celestials- thing or whatever they call it", with that he exited the quarters.
Aurel knew where he was going. To the mortal world. Immortals don't interfere with mortals' affair. It was not like he was going to stress himself with mortals' problems. The mortal world was protected by the immortals against the demon realm. So, that place was peaceful so he thought.
He teleported himself there because he was feeling lazy to walk there or use a cart. Using a cart would cost him money and he wasn't ready to do that. He found himself in front of a building with a sign board that stated Adventurer's Guild. He decided to enter despite the noise coming from it. He was already feeling sleepy and needed a place quick to rest.
He went straight to the receptionist which was an average looking female with black hair and dark brown eyes. In the immortal world , she would be considered ugly.
"Hi there ,how may I help you?" she said with a bright smile.
"I am here to look for a peaceful place to rest", Aurel said simply. He was dressed in cheap clothes now. Not one from the immortal realm but the mortals'.
"There is an inn down the road. It is the most peaceful place I know and their services are top tier", the girl said. It looked like she was in her twenties.
"Thanks a lot", he said simply.
The girl started blushing like crazy ."Why does her face look like a ripe tomato", Aurel wondered.
He wasn't stupid. He knew she was blushing for a reason only she knows.
"I could accompany you tonight if you want, handsome."
"Now, she is flirtatious", he thought.
"No thank you, but I would have preferred a dog", Aurel turned around and left.
He decided to continue his job of finding a perfect and serene place to sleep.
