Thud. Clatter.
My body fully hits the ground and my sword falls next to me.
This isn't the time for me to be on the ground, come on... I need to get up and fight back against this guy. I already did some damage to him so why can't I do this?
I've been fighting all night... training with Airi for months and yet I'm still not strong enough.
She told me to stay away from the hybrids too.
My thoughts go quiet as a hand rests softly on my shoulder.
"You did well Liam. I'm sorry I took so long, I let you deal with my mess," A familiar voice says from besides me.
I can just barely move my head to see that Airi is kneeling down next to me, a smile on her face. She doesn't seem to be upset with me in the slightest about the situation at hand.
"I...I tried," I manage to reply.
"Rest. I'll handle the rest," Airi assures me as she stands up.
