Chapter 61
Victor was immediately pushed off the ship by Heracles.
After everyone disembarked, there was no need to leave anyone on guard—Victor's Mantra (heart net) already covered the entire Cake Island, including the surrounding sea area.
At his speed, it wouldn't even take an instant to return to the Plant Scholars.
There was truly no need for anyone to stay behind and watch the ship.
As for Kizaru's Glint-Glint Fruit, it wasn't much slower.
One could imagine just how much seawater Kizaru had let through.
But right now, the future three Admirals were only in their twenties or thirties—likely still holding the ranks of Rear Admiral or Vice Admiral.
Victor had no idea when Garp and Zephyr would bring them out for training again.
He would be more than happy to exchange pointers with them—or even help guide them if needed.
Victor munched on the food in his hand while looking around at the surrounding buildings and architecture—it felt very peculiar.
They weren't already using sweets to build houses this early, were they?
"Hey—what are these houses made of? They look really delicious."
Victor asked curiously to the attendant following beside him.
"In response to Lord Victor—these houses are made of food: cookies, chocolate, and other ingredients. Everything is edible."
The attendant answered very respectfully.
"Hoho—no wonder it's Charlotte Linlin. Eating sweets every day—doesn't she ever get tired of it?"
"Last time I saw her in the newspaper, she was already gaining weight. She must be even fatter now, right?"
Victor continued questioning the attendant.
But upon hearing this question, the attendant immediately broke out in a nervous sweat and didn't dare answer.
"Yes, Mama loves eating sweets—especially cake. As for... as for..."
She couldn't finish the latter part of the question but was also terrified of angering Victor.
So she just stammered awkwardly.
"Alright—I'm not making things difficult for you. Fat is fat—what's there to be shy about? So pretentious."
Victor didn't continue pressing the attendant.
"Th-thank you, Lord Victor."
The attendant finally breathed a huge sigh of relief and offered sincere compliments to Victor.
"The Soul-Soul Fruit really is interesting—all these flowers, plants, rocks, everything has gained self-awareness."
Victor looked at the surrounding environment and continued.
"Haha—who could argue? But it looks pretty creepy. Imagine what it would be like at night."
Jabba immediately laughed and said.
Victor thought about it and suddenly felt like he was seeing ghosts.
Although he wasn't afraid, he didn't like this kind of feeling.
He had no idea how Charlotte Linlin could enjoy this kind of scenery.
"Hahaha—Jabba makes a good point. Want to pull some out and plant them back home to see?"
Roger heard Jabba's comment and immediately got excited.
"Hmm? That suggestion works. You mention this and I'm suddenly very interested. Can I go research them now?"
Heracles immediately perked up—he was genuinely very interested in these soul-infused plants.
If this weren't Charlotte Linlin's territory, he would have already started yanking them up.
"Go research. Be bold—pull up as much as you want. If anything happens, I've got your back."
"It's not a big deal—I don't think Charlotte Linlin would mind. All of you go ahead."
Victor saw Heracles and the others looking eager and immediately said loudly.
He spoke as if this place were his backyard—completely unconcerned.
"That's great! Then we won't join you guys—we're staying here to study these plants."
Heracles and the five other botanists immediately ran joyfully into the plant forest.
"Hahaha—anyone who wants to go, go ahead. It's rare to come here. With me around, everyone can relax."
"And remember to plant some on our ship, haha!"
Roger saw Heracles and the others starting their occupational disease again and laughed loudly.
"Really plant them? I feel a little scared, Victor—can you get me a big pair of pruning shears later?"
The Elli-Eni twin doctors immediately said.
"Hahaha—no problem."
Hearing this, not just Victor—everyone else burst into laughter too.
This made the twins' faces immediately turn red.
Soon, Perospero arrived leading a group of the Big Mom Pirates' Sweet Commanders to welcome Roger and the others.
When they reached the already prepared open-air restaurant, Charlotte Linlin was already waiting for Roger and the others.
"Welcome, Captain Roger. Everyone, please take your seats. The banquet will begin shortly."
Charlotte Linlin smiled and bowed toward Roger.
"Welcome also to the Roger Pirates."
"The food will be served soon—I'm sure it will satisfy Victor."
Charlotte Linlin said with a smiling, seductive look toward Victor.
"Oh? Really? Then I'll have to give it a taste. I love food the most."
Victor said while stuffing another huge piece of meat into his mouth.
"Hahaha—good. Everyone sit down then."
Roger very impolitely went straight to a central seat and sat down.
Soon, a group of waiters carrying trays of food began entering one after another.
"Hmm—not bad, service is pretty fast. Then speed it up—we still have eating to do."
Victor nodded, acknowledging the speed of service—and was quite impolite about it.
"Hahaha—Victor, that eating habit of yours really can't be changed."
Jabba saw this and immediately laughed loudly.
"Change? It's definitely not changing. Not in this lifetime. What are you all waiting for? Eat—eat boldly!"
Victor didn't hold back—he was the first to dig in.
"Hey hey—Victor, no manners. The food isn't even all served yet—what are you eating?"
Crocus immediately gave Victor a big smack, knocking his hand away.
This action immediately gave the Big Mom Pirates crew a huge jolt—the waiters froze in place, not daring to move.
"Oh oh—sorry, sorry. We're the guests—bad habit learned from Captain Roger. We're used to it. Sorry, everyone."
Victor immediately realized and hurriedly apologized to Charlotte Linlin and the others.
Charlotte Linlin and all the pirates immediately gaped in shock, looking at Victor.
For a moment, no one reacted.
Roger, who had originally reached out his hand, hurriedly pulled it back and pretended nothing happened.
"Hey hey hey—Crocus, look at Captain Roger—he almost grabbed food too just now."
"Hurry and scold him."
Victor also saw Roger's action and immediately wanted to drag him down with him.
"Ahem—no such thing. You must have seen wrong. Hahaha."
Roger immediately said with some embarrassment and a laugh.
"Hmm—I didn't see anything either. I only saw you, Victor. Be more polite."
Crocus had of course seen it too—but he gave Roger face.
Victor was just the chicken being killed to scare the monkeys.
"Ah? You're awesome—you're the boss."
Victor was immediately stunned.
The other crew members secretly breathed a sigh of relief—good thing they hadn't rushed to grab food.
