His mother burst into tears as she Said " I can't believe you're now twenty one and you'll be leaving soon"
"Come on boy give us another year to spend with you" his father said.
His mother added" Yes my child just another year"
"Ugh please stop I have to do this. It's my only shot to make money so you guys don't have to work" Fenrir said.
His mom replies "My dear we are doing fine"
"Just please stop I've already made my mimd up, I know it's risky but it's something i have to do" Fenrir said.
Dad replies "Ok son i understand you've become a man and nothing is more important than finding your own path"
His mom nod in agreement and they all went for a family hug, with tears streaming down their faces.
The world of Medorria, is just like our world filled with people, laughter, sadness and all those things that makes us humans. The only difference is that this world brings magic. While everyone have some mana most do not ave the affinity to let it grow and bloom.
Most people with the affinity attend The Magic School of Medorria MSM. This school trains each student how to use and perfect the magic, and how to increase their mana.
After MSM most people become adventures, and get payed completing quest. Some end up with jobs that helps the city, like becoming teachers, police, firefighters and doctors. Those who are lucky gets recruited by rich people to be their body guards. Still the most important job is being able to join Sages of The king, SoK for shortening.
SoK are the kings royal guards for mages and they only recruit the best of the best. Being a Sage comes with, money, power and respect.
The only downside is that you have to serve the castle until the day you die, through sickness and definitely through health.
Fenrir then entered the MSM and hands in his application to the secretary, who nods and points him to a seat. After an hour had passed, Fenrir was becoming impatient and anxious as the place was now packed with applicants.
"Fenrir Duegand!" The secretary yelled.
He then jumps up from the chair and move swiftly to the desk and said "Yes ma'am I'm here"
"Ok Mr Duegand, your application has been reviewed and you've passed the written tests. So now it's for the hardest part your physical. I do hope you ace this one too. Good luck" She said as she points to a White door beside her desk.
Fenrir nods his head and strolls to the door. His body was now engulfed in goosebumps as he was anxious. He then remember what his father once said "Son life is full of changes and sometimes we get scared. But always remember never let fear hinderer you from becoming a man"
He grabs the door knob and took a deep breath to calm himself down. He opens the door and walk in.
