Chapter 2 - Chapter Two: Training in Two

2 years later…

By the time we were two, things were easier. Tomogui and I were independent of each other now. Shared memories, yes, but completely separate personalities.

I'll admit it was very hard to get used to these bodies, almost as hard as getting to used to the fact that I got reincarnated into fucking Jujutsu Kaisen, let alone just that I got reincarnated into the Kamo clan, one of the three big clans of this world.

As I mused about my family, someone quickly opened the shoji door.

The maid came in, carrying a tray of blocks and humming. "Good morning, Tomogui, Futago," she said, smiling. I stayed quiet, watching. Tomogui shuffled a little behind me, hands folded in front of him, eyes flicking to me as if waiting for me to take the lead.

I crawled over to the blocks, slow, deliberate, tiny chest puffed just a little. I had spent hours well mornings practicing with the blocks. Tomogui and I kept practicing with these blocks. Trying, failing, until we weren't mirroring each other anymore.

Tomogui followed behind me, careful, and polite. Same memories as me, yes. But filtered differently.

"Careful with those blocks," the maid said, leaning down.

I lifted one anyway, wobbling slightly. Tomogui's little hands steadied the base without me having to think about it.

I crawled over a pillow and nudged it lightly with my knee. Tomogui hesitated, then followed in his slow, careful way, watching me.

I began stacking blocks and the top blocks teetered. Tomogui adjusted the base, subtly fixing all the errors I made in my initial hasty stack.

We spent the morning like that. Me, testing boundaries quietly, moving in small, deliberate ways. Tomogui followed carefully, reacting in his own way. All the practice with the blocks, balancing and playing worked.

The maid came to pick us up for lunch. "Time to eat, little ones," she said.

I moved first, careful, quiet. Tomogui shuffled behind me, hands close to his chest, whispering softly, "I… I'll wait."

The maid chuckled, ruffling my hair. She had no idea we were one, and I didn't correct her. Why would I?

We waddled to the high chairs. Me—quiet, prideful, careful. Tomogui—timid, polite, fully his own little person.

I stretched both arms. Aiko, the maid, gave us both a small hug, one arm around each of us. She had soft features, dark hair tied neatly behind her head, and wore a plain kimono. Then she set us down and left the room, sliding the shoji door shut behind her.

[Author Note *Dialogue* will be used when they are communicating with themselves. Since both of them share memories, they can 'talk' to each other with their minds.]

*Now that she is gone lets test this part out* I thought in my mind, since me and tomogui share memories we can

*Why did we have to wait for her to leave, we could have practiced while she was here* Tomogui's voice sounded in my ear.

*Well what happens if we messed up the communication and randomly spoke outloud*

*We are literally babies in her eyes, it doesn't matter if we make a mistake or two*

*I guess… anyway now that we learned how to control two bodies at the same time, we can start doing jujutsu things right?* my overwhelming enthusiasm must have seeped into Tomogui as well, because he was also getting hyped

*So… what do we even do, we are probably just gonna get blood manipulation, not exactly a top tier technique* Tomogui quickly calmed down addressing the situation.

*Now that you bring it up, even Choso a Death painting who could replenish his own blood, and had 150 years to master blood manipulation was only top tier grade 1 level by the end, we are just humans who can't replenish blood, meaning if we can't learn Reversed Cursed Technique, we can't use Supernova or blood manipulation to the maximum Still their are definitely some ways to possible improve it, maybe we can try some Mohg bloodflame things from Elden Ring* I quickly responded to his lukewarm response, unwilling to waste this chance at a new exciting life.

*Still leads me back to my initial question, what do we do?*

*We should probably study the human body a little, we have a bachelors degree on chemistry and biology from our past life*

*The Kamo clan has existed for centuries. Do you think we can figure out a way to further push the technique that hasn't already been attempted by them?*

*Better than just sitting here and waiting, and since we haven't even reached 4 we cant even practice the jujutsu fundamentals*

*How do you even intend on asking Aiko for the material necessary, I doubt she will just allow us stroll around, also is their even a library in the clan with textbooks on mundane science*

*Although they probably don't have a library, Blood manipulation as a technique is related to the human body, it won't be too odd for sorcerers to want to study mundane science* I quickly responded to Tomogui *As for how to convince Aiko, well we just have to display our beautiful baby charm* I quickly brush my hair back with my hand, flaunting my immaculate baby face.

My charm didn't seem to inspire much confidence in Tomogui as he stared at me with a blank face, eyes dulled out.
