Sitting in the office, Grey had no idea where to begin. There should have been records somewhere, records of the pack's finances, trade, plans, even simple logs of daily operations.
How had Alpha Norman run anything without all that? Surely someone had to know where those things were.
He thought of the assistant. Every Alpha had one, a Beta who knew details if the pack. Maybe the assistant would know. Maybe the assistant could help him start somewhere.
Grey called for the bodyguard, and the door opened immediately. But before he could speak, another thought hit him.
What if he delt with the mark first, end all the distractions it gave him before moving on to anything else, before starting to work on the pack.
Maybe if that was gone, he could think clearly.
"Alpha Grey, you called?" the man asked when Grey stayed silent, lost in thought.
