Silas's POV
My legs turned to stone. This couldn't be real. Bella was Gemma Poley this entire time?
That familiar pull I'd felt around her suddenly made perfect sense.
She scrambled for the blonde wig, trying to shove it back over her auburn hair, but I was already moving. My hand closed around her wrist and I hauled her toward the elevator, ignoring the shocked gasps from my staff and Felix's stunned expression.
The elevator doors slid shut with a soft chime. The moment we started ascending, she tried yanking away from my grip, but I held tighter.
"Mr. VALERIUS'Empire, let go of me," she hissed. "What are you doing, dragging me around like some criminal?"
"Cut the corporate bullshit, Bella. And yes, you are a criminal. Do you have any idea how much sleep you stole from me when you vanished?" My voice came out deadly calm despite the storm raging inside me.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Her eyebrows drew together in confusion.
