Chapter 25 - Giant Panda

Leo rubbed his eyes, the sudden change in the surrounding scene made him unable to adjust in time. It wasn't an empty place like before but a dense forest. The trees here were truly huge, bigger than all the types of trees he had ever seen. Compared to his small body, these trees were no different from pillars holding up the sky.

"An illusion? What kind of place is this again?"

He frowned, paying attention to the smallest details. Grabbing a leaf, digging up a handful of soil, breaking off a piece of bark... No matter what action, it all gave him an extremely real feeling.

This wasn't a dead forest, around him birds and wild beasts were countless. Moreover, their size was a bit bigger than the things he usually saw.

"What's the meaning of this place anyway? Logically speaking, I should have succeeded already." Leo muttered while slowly moving forward to explore this place.

He hadn't gone more than a few steps when a roar that pierced the blue sky made his scalp go numb and his whole body freeze.

"What the hell is that?!"

He immediately looked up at the sky, his gaze piercing through the foliage to see a large black shadow far up in the sky.

Four legs, two wings, and a long tail... This shape seemed quite similar to a creature from the legends of the place he used to be.

"Could it really be a dragon huh. If that's the case then this world is too dangerous."

Leo quickly climbed up a tree to observe more clearly what that thing really was. Wasn't he afraid he would die? Other situations might lead to death, but right now it was impossible. Even though this world was extremely real, he was certain these things were only within his consciousness. He couldn't really die.

The tree had to be about thirty meters tall, climbing it indeed took quite some time. Luckily, the trunk had plenty of places to grip so he could climb up this fast.

Standing on the treetop, that figure looked much clearer. A giant dragon with snow-white scales was soaring in the sky.

"It's so big huh. Wonder if my old man Raphael could beat this thing?"

Seeing such a powerful existence, of course Leo immediately thought of the strongest person he had ever met. But he still thought that dragon was stronger because Raphael had never shown any significant strength in front of him.

Suddenly Leo frowned, his gaze intently looking towards the dense cloud. His pupils dilated, shaking slightly as if he saw something abnormal.

A giant bamboo pole split the clouds and descended straight onto the dragon's head. The dragon let out a cry full of pain and was knocked down to the ground. The shockwave from the impact caused a large amount of greenery to be knocked over, small animals around died scattered everywhere.

Leo clung tightly to the tree branch shaking violently. His location was relatively far but was still affected by a strong gust of wind.

He narrowed his eyes, trying to see clearly what that bamboo pole actually was. Does such a large bamboo pole really exist in this world? Leo really wanted to say no, but the scene before his eyes made him unable to determine anything.

Right behind the bamboo pole, a giant figure quickly appeared. He looked like a panda but his posture and walk were like a fat human. He wore an extremely large hat, so large it was impossible to imagine what kind of leaf he used to weave that hat.

Even stranger was that he was wearing a pair of pants. The fabric looked quite old, on the butt there was a large patch. But where on earth did he get the fabric? Surely not from humans because humans have no reason to weave such a large piece of fabric. Moreover, Leo felt the fabric material he used couldn't possibly withstand that colossal body's movements.

"What the hell is this now? And yet it could use one stick to knock out that giant dragon. Are pandas in this world this big? And why does its walking posture resemble a human's? So unreasonable, huh?"

Pandas, whatever you say, are still four-legged animals. But the giant panda before his eyes used its two front limbs to grasp, two hind limbs to walk. No matter how you look, it didn't resemble a normal animal.

The giant panda pushed the bamboo stick down hard, pressing the dragon's head onto the ground, then another pained roar was heard. The dragon's giant wings were plucked off its body by the panda, blue blood just splattered everywhere.

The dragon could no longer fly but that couldn't stop it from resisting. It opened its terrifying mouth, a magic circle appeared in front of it and shot out a column of water at extremely high speed.

But the next scene was even more bizarre, the panda actually didn't dodge this dangerous attack. Only a stream of white air was seen rising from his hand and then he threw a punch. The water stream wasn't shattered, instead it was completely pushed to a different direction.

Then the bamboo stick continued to pound hard into the dragon's head continuously, like the way humans hit a fish's head to knock it unconscious. It didn't take long before no more signs of resistance from the dragon could be seen.

The giant panda put it into his pants and then pulled out a giant rope and used it to tightly tie up the dragon. Then he dragged the dragon's body towards Leo. Everywhere he passed, trees were broken helplessly like grass when stepped on by people.

"Damn! Is he coming this way?"

Leo was genuinely frightened by this giant creature. But very quickly he calmed down, this place wasn't real. At least dying here wouldn't be real death because he had already expressed his attitude.

Of course, the possibility that his thinking was mistaken could also occur. Even so, he wasn't afraid because if he got stepped on, he'd die without even having time to feel anything.

The giant panda walked straight in one direction, making Leo feel as if the other party was aiming for him.

"Strange, is he looking at me?"

This was just a feeling in his heart, his eyes obviously couldn't see the other's gaze clearly at this distance. His current position was on the treetop, if that panda had good eyesight, it should be able to see.
