Ren died a gruesome death upon the entities called the Dark Tide. He was one of the Primordial beings that fought hard to keep humanity safe. Though his efforts were wasted as the entities killed them one by one.
He closed his eyes and then took his last breath. It was not long that he gave up his ghost. He opened his eyes again and then saw an unfamiliar place. He squinted it and felt that his hands were small. Knowing it, he immediately thought that he became a baby.
'What!? Why I am a toddler?' he began to think that he was reborn into a new body. It made him think how he had been reborn. It was not the norm. Maybe someone had made his rebirth to happen.
He then saw that he was in a crib and saw the room was made of wood. Lamps were settled in the corner and a calendar was seen embedded on the wall.
It was year 3026 of Second Era. He was reborn 1,000 years later after his death. To think that he was indeed reborn later.
It was then he could not escape this cage yet and has nothing to do. And so, he did something that was useful later on. As a toddler, he cultivated his mana via mana circulations and as well as his breathing method for stamina. Another one was longevity cultivation for health.
After several days, he achieved to reach first stage each.....
He was smirking as his baby peers were all wasting time playing toys, here he was reaching first stage of mana, stamina, and health.
And he also saw his parent's faces. His father has a scar on his cheeks and his mother was beautiful. They both have dark hair and dark eyes. He bet that he has those features too like them. And so, he bided the time while cultivating this three stats.
He reached to third stage and was now able to walk. And so, he investigated the history. As what happened these past one thousand years he still did not know.
He went to their library and read some things about history. He learned that all Primordials were either dead or missing.
Then he learned that the Martial Arts and Magic was in decline.
As far as he knew there were thousands of Legends but they all died after the invasion of the Dark Tide that killed numerous ones of them.
Now, only a few remained and guarded their kingdom. Something like the "7 Emperors" or so what they called them. Also, the current situation about the Immortals were still not recorded in the books. But they were told to have reached the pinnacle of longevity and ascended to the higher realm. Then the current King that ascended to the throne has no job class or he was not an awakener.
He by far know how to deal with such problem.
It was then, in the morning, he saw his father swinging sword and cut a wooden dummy easily.
Ren was astonished and surprised. He could not believe that his father was a swordsman as what his skill have shown him. It was a swordsman skill flicker slash. You will dash so fast that you disappear in sight and appear in the back of the enemy then slash.
And so he knew his parents were awakeners and his father was a swordsman. And as for his mother, he has yet to see.
He had interest in his father's training and he watched.
"Son, you want to practice sword?" Renji asked him then gave him a wooden sword.
And when he approached him, he tripped by a stone. Then he slammed on the ground knee first.
His mother immediately ran and taking care of his wound when he tripped in his own feet and scraped his knee.
[Heal]
Then his mother cast healing on him. Then he knew that his mother was a Healer. It was one of the rarest class there was. Only a handful few were Healers.
He immediately has knowledge of their class and so "Are you okay son?" She asked.
"Yep, I didn't know mom was a Healer." Ren scratched his head.
"Let us practice sword dad!" Ren said then gripped his wooden sword.
"Okay but be careful." Said Anna, his mother said.
"Well, you can heal us anytime we are hurt, right?" Renji said to her then Anna smacked him on the back.
"Wait, it would still hurt to get smacked by this sword. How about you cast Protection on us?" Ren said to her.
"Protection? How did you know I have that skill?" Anna asked.
"Wow, my son is a genius and knowledgeable. Protection is a good skill to use in our spar!" Renji laughed.
"Okay, but don't attack when Protection skill will work off okay?" She asked.
"Yes mother!" Ren replied.
The two then went to their stance and then sparred. Ren attacked his father in whom was just playing with a kid. He was defending and Ren was attacking fluidly. He lacked power but speed and control wise, he could be on par with his father. And that was when he still has to practice. He still hasn't practiced with a sword before.
His father then knew that his son has a potential and it was the first time they sparred. And he was this good already!? He was like a swordsman veteran inside the body of a kid.
The swings were refined and swift. It could hurt if he would land without protection spell. He was able to hold his ground even against his father who was an adventurer in his past and was in his prime.
Renji ws impressed and started to attack in offense and he could see the parries and blocks of Ren were all flawless. 'Where did this kid know how to parry and block?'
He was also countered by Ren when he slashed his sword vertically. Ren ducked and let the sword slid on his edge of his sword then he used the pommel to attack his abdomen. Making his father to get shocked and step back.
"How? How and where did you learn that?" He was beyond amazed and was proud to see his son a genius and smart. Smarter than his peers.
