Our lips were about to touch, yet my mind was crowded with thoughts that had nothing to do with the woman in front of me.
Just before her lips brushed mine, my hand moved on its own and covered her mouth.
I did not feel like it.

I nodded and turned my face to the side.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then she leaned forward and buried her face against my neck, her breath brushing over my skin.
My neck, which I always thought was sensitive, stayed strangely calm. It didn't heat up the way it did when Elara touched me with just one cold finger.
With Elara, it was not even the touch. Just hearing her voice made my ears tingle.
The woman pressed her lips against the side of my neck, soft and tentative, while her hand slipped under my robe and closed around my breast.
