Chapter 6 - How to bond with your siblings, naturally

After dealing with the material issues, Si-eun literally had nothing to do considering he was on the way to the servant quarters for the very same reason, he suddenly felt like a lost lamb without purpose.

'What is this feeling, I have money now, I'm wealthy, so why the fuck do I feel empty?' He couldn't help but question inwardly.

"Screw this."

With a grunt he got up from his bed, left his room and suddenly found himself traversing the hallway once again.

However, this time he was headed for the garden.

Why was he headed there? Well Si-eun decided to alleviate his boredom at his siblings expense.

Surely enough the garden came into view and there they were, watching butterflies and laughing so carefree.

He approached them slowly but cautious enough not to make a sound and as soon as he got close he pounced on them.

"Well now, you two seem to be having fun considering your brother's life might be at stake, my poor heart's a little hurt here."

The older one among the two siblings turned around with a startled expression before her face morphed into unrestrained anger.

"You retard… what do you want." she growled.

The youngest sibling beside her quickly hid behind her back, shooting Si-eun a threatening glare.

'That bad ehh… good grief.'

Si-eun stood still, then grinned.

"What do I want? Can't an elder brother have a bit of fun with his siblings." he teased.

"Fuck you mean have a bit of fun! last time you said that, you broke Nathan's fingers."

She drew Nathan close who in turn, held the helm of her skirt tightly like it was his lifeline.

'Ahh for heaven's sake, how bad of a sibling was this bastard.'

But then again if he and Azazel were practically the same person then didn't that make him the bastard?

'Oh my word, this is a headache.'

He sighed then held his sister's gaze.

"Alvina, I'm sorry ok… look I know I wasn't exactly a good brother figure…" he spoke but Alvina cut him off.

"You were never a brother figure, fuck off."

"Language, Alvina." He warned with a raised brow causing her small form to tremble slightly.

He let out a subtle groan, then mumbled

"Oh the things I'd do for quality siblings bonding time."

Alvina scurried backwards at his words but Si-eun pushed forward.

As much as he hated to admit, he was enjoying their reactions a little too much than he cared to admit

At that moment, the little gremlin, Nathan, decided to speak up.

"Y-You… stay away from us."

Si-eun's eyes narrowed like inverted crescents while his grin deepened.

Alvina paled at the sheer hideousness of his smile then raised a trembling hand to shield Nathan from Si-eun's gaze.

"Oh… by the moon, save us lord." she muttered a silent prayer with trembling lips.

Si-eun's voice came again and this time it was laced with mockery.

"Aww poor baby Nathan wants to fight for his big sister eh, admirable but cute at best, that's all it is… you can't expect to sit behind fancy tables and sip expensive tea then hope your feeble arms will aid you when it comes to a fight, you're a man for fucks sake, grow some damn balls, and you!"

He turned to Alvina, voice filled with criticism.

"Quit spoiling him, he's a man not a polished trophy in need of supervision, if I die today he's the one who's gonna take over the duchy, don't turn him into a princess with your overprotectiveness, he's meant to be a ruler not a pet."

At this point both Alvina and Nathan looked like they wanted the ground to swallow them up.

Alvina tried to speak but nothing came to mind because deep down she knew he was right but what could she do?

'Nathan doesn't like fighting, but h-how do I tell him this, no he won't listen, big sister Leona isn't around to deal with him, I need to get the guards.'

While Alvina was lost in her thoughts, Si-eun let his gaze wander towards Nathan.

He knew it too, Nathan disliked fighting yet fate forced his hand, after a certain event when Alvina became crippled trying to defend her weak little brother, he lost his mind.

In pursuit of revenge, he made a pact with one of the demon princes but he was eventually consumed.

It was one of the bad endings of the game which utterly devastated players, dare I say it was the worst of all bad endings.

It basically disrupted order in the fragile balance of the realms.

The demon realm assimilated with the liefher–this world's version of earth which forced the angels hands and the higher beings into destroying the planet.

But bad ending aside, Si-eun swore to himself, not to allow any harm come to his family, not when he was still alive.

He had accepted his role as Azazel and the responsibility that came with it, he was going to protect them even if it meant going astray or doing the wrong things.

He needed to make sure his siblings never suffered any ill fate and to do that?

Of course to do that, he was going to steal some of the protagonist buffs.

'I mean he had a lot of useful abilities and artifacts he never bothered to use.'

Could his actions potentially doom the world? Yes

Could it change the plot? Probably

Did he care? Nope he didn't give two fucks about it.

Although he started off as an amateur, he was very close to becoming a pro gamer before he decided to focus on the business Javier had eventually stolen from him in the end.

Avoiding all bad endings was nothing short of a chore, but for him who knew the in and out of the game, he had a fair advantage to survive.

He knew how to utilize some builds well enough and the order in which they synergized with each other, including some artifacts but it all depended on his class, which was a problem since the jester class was exclusive to him and him alone.

It wasn't even mentioned in the game which meant, he had no knowledge about it, that also meant that he'd have to start from scratch, understanding patterns to his build path.

'Guess I've got my work cut out for me, it all depends on tomorrow's verdict, if all goes according to plan then that'd give me a front row seat to observe the protagonist's growth as well, then steal me some buffs right in front of him.'

With everything said, he placed his hand on Alvina's hair, ruffling it slightly which caused the poor child to jolt in shock.

Even the little gremlin besides her was at a lost for words.

Seeing their confused faces, he smiled.

"Now now my dear siblings, let's not linger, shall we have a nice discussion over tea?"
