Chapter 20 - Epilogue: The promise of forever

Neel asked Nishi to close her eyes. Neel brought Nishi to the top of a mountain. When Nishi opened her eyes and looked down, she felt scared. Neel pulled Nishi close and said, "I know you're afraid, but I also know that you like it. What you like, I'll like too. Your preference is my preference."

Nishi was looking at Neel with tearful eyes. "No one has ever said this to me like this before."

Standing at the mountain peak, the two held each other's hands and looked at the nature below—the waterfall, the river, the starry sky. All around, fireflies were lighting up, flying about like butterflies.

Neel said softly, "Your dream is now my reality. But tell me, is all this real, or am I just another dream of yours?"

Nishi smiled, with a mysterious look in her eyes. "Dreams are the truest thing, Neel. If you're a dream, then I don't want to wake up anymore."

"But you will have to wake up, Butterfly." Neel kissed her forehead. "What will happen then?"

Tears came to Nishi's eyes. "Will you... will you not stay forever?"

Neel placed his hands on both of Nishi's cheeks and looked into her eyes. His blue eyes seemed to shine like stars. "I'm in every dream of yours, Butterfly. Every morning, every night. Whenever you feel alone, close your eyes—I'll come."

"But in reality?" Nishi's voice was trembling.

"Reality and dreams—both are true if you believe." Neel pulled her into his chest. "You're never alone anymore. Remember that."

The wind made Nishi's hair fly. In the distance, the fireflies glowed even brighter. Neel was slowly becoming blurred, but his warmth, his smile, his love—all remained embedded in Nishi's heart.

"Neel..." Nishi whispered.

"I'm here. Always here. Inside you."

The next morning, Nishi woke up in her room's bed. Sunlight was coming through the window and falling on her face. She sat up and looked around.

"Was it a dream?" she asked herself.

But on her hand were still the marks of red bangles, dried rose petals in her hair. And the most surprising thing—on her table was an open diary, where there was new writing:

"You're not alone anymore. Whenever you need me, call me. I'm in every dream of yours, in every breath.

- Your Blue Butterfly "

Nishi pressed the diary to her chest. Tears rolled down from her eyes—but this time not of pain, but of joy.

She looked outside the window. A blue butterfly came flying and sat on the window, flapped its wings once, then disappeared into the sky.

Nishi smiled softly.

"Thank you, Neel. You taught me—I'm never alone. You're inside me."

From that day on, Nishi no longer felt alone like before. She started writing her story—the story of the Blue Butterfly. And every night, when she went to sleep, a blue butterfly would fly into her dreams.

Because some love remains in dreams, some in reality.

But the most beautiful love remains in the heart—forever.
