Chapter 12 - Julian X Joshua

The city was quiet from above, like the moon just overwatched the city and cast its rays over them for free.Julian stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows of Brown Caldwell's penthouse, staring down at the streets below. He recently found out about this penthouse some days ago after going through his IG page; this place was his special hideout to have fun with his women, but this time around, it might not be with a woman. A glass of wine hung loose in his hand. He wasn't drunk, but he wanted to be. Behind him, the apartment light was dim & clean, cold. Everything about this body, this life, was pristine. Powerful. But at the same time, wrong. But tonight... something felt different. A knock came at the door. He turned, and his heart stuttered in his chest. He called him over quite alright, but he wasn't prepared.Joshua stepped inside, dressed in black slacks and a loose navy shirt, the top two buttons undone. Casual, but sharp. His eyes scanned the place like he didn't expect warmth, and he was right. "Wow," he said, walking in slowly. "Didn't know you lived like this." Julian (in Brown's body) smiled faintly. "There's a lot you don't know about me." Joshua chuckled under his breath. "You can say that again."They sat on opposite ends of the velvet couch at first. Julian poured him wine. They talked all about work, the campaign, and meaningless things. But every silence stretched longer.Every glance lingered harder.Every word meant more than it was supposed to. Joshua leaned back eventually, his eyes tracing Brown's face. "You're not what I expected," he said. "I mean... Mr. Caldwell. You're usually more "Colder?" Julian offered. Joshua smiled. "Something like that." A beat of silence filled the air once more. "You remind me of someone," Joshua murmured, "but the person already works with us". He said, "Someone I used to know. A long time ago." Julian's fingers tightened around his glass. "Julian Blackwood." Joshua blinked."Yeah... how did you..." "You used to sit next to him. In Year 11. Back row. You passed him poems you pretended weren't yours." Joshua froze, shocked at how Brown knew about his little secrets. Julian turned toward him."He never told anyone. But he always knew they were from you." He continued, looking deep into Joshua's eyes. Joshua's voice dropped to a whisper. "Who... are you?" Julian set his glass down. Then moved across the couch, slow but visibly deliberate, until their knees were nearly touching. And then they touched each other."Well, Joshua Austin, I'm the man you used to want."And then he leaned forward and kissed him.Joshua didn't pull away at first; he had the intention to kiss his boss, Mr Brown Caldwell, but his lips tasted familiar. He leaned into it, lips soft, hesitant, then hungry. His hand gripped Brown's jaw, thumb brushing his cheek like he was trying to make sure it was real."This is wrong, Mr Brown", Joshua whispered. Julian's breath hitched. "So was waking up as someone else."The kiss deepened. Julian pulled Joshua closer, their bodies falling into the cushions, the wine forgotten on the table. Hands tangled in each other's shirts, Julian caressed his back, and his breath was hot against Joshua's skin, years of longing folding into this moment for Joshua. He knew this wasn't Mr Brown anymore. Julian's mouth moved down Joshua's neck, slow, reverent. He didn't know where the line between love and desperation blurred out, only that he needed this. Needed him. Joshua's shirt slipped off, followed by Julian's. Skin met skin "You feel..." Joshua started, gasping softly as Julian pressed against him, "familiar. Like I've touched you before." "Maybe you have," Julian whispered against his chest. Raising Joshua, he wrapped his legs around Brown's muscular waist as they moved to the bedroom. Drooping Joshua on the bed, he proceeded in offloading his clothes completely, and Joshua did the same; he lay on Joshua. The city watched through the glass as clothes hit the floor, one piece at a time. Their rhythm built slowly, like a memory being rewritten. Joshua moaned so intensely as Julian(in Brown body), kissed him vigorously all over his body, right from his neck down to his waist, Joshua was very hard and so was Julian, they felt the intense passion that evaporated from them, the tone of Joshua moan became a bot sexy and loud when Julian took it in, he enjoyed doing this a lot, after some while, Joshua did the same for Julian, they had a wild sex, an unforgettable moment for Joshua, he really enjoyed as Brown ride him hard, he hasn't felt like this in over a long time, it was good, Julian kissed him like he was trying to speak through it. Joshua touched him like he was searching for something he'd lost. They didn't speak for a while; they kept on enjoying themselves, under the chilling AC and the white bed sheets. When it was over, they lay tangled in sheets, Julian's chest rising and falling fast, like someone who ran a marathon, but though the fun they just had was more than a marathon race, his fingers still brushed the edge of Joshua's wrist like he couldn't let go. Joshua looked at him, dazed, unsure."Who... are you?" Julian stared at the ceiling. Then whispered: "The man I wasn't meant to be. And the one you were never supposed to love. Joshua just looked at him for a while, but he kept silent, "Jasmine shouldn't hear a word about this", he warned.
