INT. HOSPITAL – DAY
Rozze steps out of the hospital after her routine check-up. The sunlight feels too harsh.
Before she can take a breath—
Ryan stands in front of her.
Ryan (worried):
"Rozze… are you okay? You look pale."
Rozze (forcing a smile):
"I'm fine. Just tired."
She pauses. Her voice trembles.
Rozze:
"I need to see him, Ryan. I've tried everything. They never let me meet him. Even the court hearings keep getting delayed."
Ryan cuts her off suddenly.
Ryan (low, tense):
"Rozze… I need to tell you something important."
INT. CAFÉ – DAY
They sit at a corner table. Rozze holds a glass of cold coffee but doesn't drink it.
Rozze (childish tone, teasing):
"Why aren't you drinking yours? And why do you look like someone stole your smile?"
Ryan stays silent.
Rozze:
"Ryan… you're scaring me now. Say it."
Ryan exhales slowly.
Ryan (nervous):
"I don't know how to tell you this… or if I even should. But you deserve to know."
Rozze (urgent):
"Just tell me."
Ryan (breaking):
"I got a call today. About Faish."
Rozze's eyes light up with sudden hope.
Rozze (excited):
"He's coming out? Is he finally free?"
Ryan shakes his head.
Tears roll down his face.
Ryan (voice breaking):
"He's… dead."
The world goes silent.
The glass slips from Rozze's hand.
(GLASS SHATTERING SOUND)
Rozze (screaming):
"What are you saying?! That's not possible!"
Her knees give up. She collapses to the floor.
Ryan rushes to her, holding her as she cries uncontrollably.
Rozze (broken):
"I need to see him… please… let me see him…"
TIME SKIP – ONE YEAR LATER
Ayaan turns one.
Rozze tries to rebuild her life, piece by piece.
Ryan stands by her like a quiet pillar.
Ryan (softly):
"I know you loved him deeply. But for Ayaan… you need to move forward."
He hesitates.
Ryan:
"A friend of mine is in a good position. If you want, I can help you restart."
Rozze (calm but firm):
"I'll think about it. But I don't want anyone's support to define me."
A new house.
A new building.
A forced new beginning.
PRESENT
INT. COMPANY MEETING HALL – DAY
The meeting ends. People leave.
Rozze stays seated, lost.
Faces feel faded. Sounds feel distant.
Jiya shakes her arm.
Jiya:
"Rozze? You okay? You're late today. What's going on?"
Rozze suddenly stands up.
Rozze (gasping):
"He… he's alive. Ryan told me—"
Jiya (confused):
"Who is alive? Rozze, what are you saying?"
Rozze's eyes lock somewhere far.
She runs.
INT. SAIM'S CABIN – CONTINUOUS
The door swings open.
The assistant stands startled.
Assistant:
"Director—?"
From the corner of the cabin, a man steps forward.
Saim Rahil.
Pale. Calm. Untouched by time.
Rozze freezes.
Saim (cold):
"Miss Rozze… people usually knock before entering."
Rozze (angry, shaking):
"Are you insane?! How are you here? You were dead!"
Jiya rushes in and pulls Rozze back.
Jiya (quickly):
"I'm sorry, sir. She isn't feeling well."
They leave.
Inside the cabin—
Saim (cold):
"Find out if she's mentally unstable."
INT. ROZZE'S CABIN – DAY
Rozze's hands tremble as she holds her phone.
Rozze (whisper):
"That wasn't a dream…"
Jiya holds her hand.
Jiya:
"What happened?"
Rozze (slow):
"He looks exactly like Faish."
Jiya:
"Who?"
Rozze:
"Saim Rahil."
Jiya frowns.
Jiya:
"I've seen Faish's photo. Even I felt something familiar. But Rozze… Faish is dead."
Rozze swallows.
Rozze:
"I never saw his body. I only heard…"
Jiya:
"But you saw his grave."
Rozze nods.
Jiya (soft):
"If he were Faish… would he look at you like that?"
Rozze looks down.
Rozze:
"Maybe… I'm overthinking."
CHILDREN'S GARDEN – EVENING
Children laugh. Play.
Ina spreads her arms.
Ina:
"Run! I'm the bad dragon!"
Everyone laughs.
Ryan joins them.
Ryan:
"Well done, champs!"
Ayaan smiles.
Ayaan:
"I didn't even do anything."
Ryan:
"Sometimes… doing nothing does everything."
Rozze arrives.
Ina and Ayaan(together):
"Mama!"
Ina shows a locket.
Ina:
"Look! An uncle gave this to me. He said I'm like a butterfly."
Rozze's breath stops.
The locket.
Her fingers tremble.
Rozze (whisper):
"This… this can't be…"
INT. HOSPITAL – RYAN'S CABIN – evening
Ryan speaks to himself.
Ryan (thinking):
"Faish designed that locket himself. Two pieces were made."
He freezes.
Ryan:
"So… is he here?"
Knock.
Rozze enters.
Ryan looks up.
Rozze walks in and sits on the chair across from him. No hesitation. No small talk.
Rozze (direct, controlled):
"Tell me the truth. How is Ayaan?"
Ryan looks away.
Ryan (under his breath):
I thought she came because of the locket…
Rozze notices his pause.
Rozze:
"Ryan?"
Ryan exhales, uneasy.
Ryan (carefully):
"He's stable. But if I'm honest… Ayaan isn't completely fine."
Rozze stiffens.
Ryan:
"At such a young age, these conditions can be genetic."
(beat)
"Faish… had a heart condition too."
Rozze's phone suddenly rings.
RINGTONE: Tun… Tun…
She looks at Ryan.
Rozze:
"One minute."
She steps aside.
PHONE CALL
Jiya (soft voice):
"Rozze… the company is hosting a welcome party for the CEO tonight. Will you come?"
Rozze (flat):
"No. I'm not in the mood."
Jiya:
"Okay… your call."
Call ends.
Rozze returns to her seat.
Ryan:
"Everything okay?"
Rozze:
"Yeah. It was Jiya. About the CEO's welcome party."
Ryan raises an eyebrow.
Ryan:
"So… are you going?"
Rozze (firm):
"No. I don't want to."
She pauses, voice lower.
Rozze:
"He'll be there. And… he weakens me."
Ryan leans back, folds his arms.
Ryan:
"I don't know what exactly scares you there… but running away won't fix it."
Rozze listens silently.
Ryan steps closer.
Ryan:
"Go. Face it. I have night duty anyway. I'll take care of Ayaan."
Rozze nods slowly.
Rozze:
"I wanted to ask you one more thing—"
Ryan (interrupting gently):
"Later. Go. Try to enjoy."
She gives a small nod and leaves.
INT. COMPANY – PARKING AREA – NIGHT
Rozze arrives.
The building feels strangely silent.
She calls Jiya.
Rozze:
"Are you guys already in the party hall?"
Jiya:
"Yes. Why?"
Rozze:
"Send me the location. I'll come."
Jiya:
"Your car is in the company parking. The duplicate key is in my locker. Take it."
Call ends.
Rozze collects the key and heads to the parking area.
Inside the lift—
a strange feeling crawls up her spine.
As if someone is standing behind her.
She exits quickly.
Parking area. Empty.
She reaches her car. Turns around.
No one.
Suddenly— footsteps.
Rozze panics, runs, searches her purse—
and crashes into someone.
She looks up.
The same face.
The same scent.
Too real to ignore.
She steps back.
Rozze (breathless):
"I'm sorry… I thought someone was following me."
A cold, deep voice answers.
Saim:
"If you can't see properly, get yourself treated."
Her jaw tightens.
Rozze (angry):
"Being the CEO doesn't give you the right to talk like that!"
Saim gives her one sharp glance.
Then turns, gets into his car, and drives away.
Rozze stands there, irritated.
Rozze (to herself):
"Great. And now where did my car go?"
INT. PARTY HALL – NIGHT
The hall is alive.
Music. Laughter. Conversations.
Rozze stands to the side, sipping juice.
Jiya approaches with a nervous smile.
Jiya:
"Why do you look so angry?"
Rozze:
"I'm not."
Jiya (teasing):
"You've already had two cold drinks."
Rozze:
"I'm going to the washroom."
She walks toward the stairs.
Her heels click sharply.
A wet paper lies on a step.
Her foot slips.
Time slows.
She loses balance.
Her hands reach out—
grab onto someone's coat—
Her heart pounds.
She looks up.
And the face she sees—
Steals the air from her lungs.

Some faces disappear… but their shadows never do.
