Regarding the information gap between scouts and fans, there is a very classic example.
That example is Kylian Mbappé.
How many fans knew Mbappé before he became famous at Monaco, or even before the 2018 World Cup?
Very few.
Even if you knew him then, what about before Mbappé joined Monaco?
Almost no one.
But in fact, people inside the industry already knew there was a gifted young player named Mbappé when he was not even ten years old.
When Mbappé trialed with Chelsea at the age of fourteen, Chelsea couldn't make up their minds and wanted him to come for a second trial.
Mbappé's mother was furious about this and firmly rejected it, saying it was an insult to them. She even threatened that Chelsea wouldn't get Mbappé even if they offered 50 million five years later.
After hearing this story, many people said Mbappé's mother was too domineering.
Her son wasn't famous yet, but she behaved like he was already a superstar—disgusting.
But is that really true?
Of course not.
Because Chelsea's request really was an insult to Mbappé's talent at the time.
Back then, Chelsea already had two highly regarded youngsters, Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham, so they weren't sincere about Mbappé, who was extremely talented but also came with expectations.
If Chelsea met Mbappé's demands, how would they treat Solanke and Abraham?
Wouldn't their salaries need to be raised as well?
This is the same logic as a club's wage ceiling—it can't be broken casually, and it can't be adjusted lightly.
The so-called "undecided decision" and "second trial" were just excuses to force Mbappé to quit on his own.
But even though the industry valued Mbappé highly, everyone still underestimated him—including his mother, who knew him best.
Because five years later, Mbappé would not be worth 50 million.
He would be worth… 200 million.
From this perspective, Mbappé's mother wasn't domineering at all—she even gave a 25% discount when she said those harsh words.
…
"So… I'm the one who harmed my brother?" Cristiano Ronaldo reacted.
It sounded ridiculous, but it might very well be the truth.
Kai nodded, signaling that Ronaldo had finally found the key point.
He continued analyzing it for Ronaldo:
"If someone around you has a problem, you should stay away from him immediately and never contact him again, because he'll only bring you trouble."
"But if that person is someone you can't abandon, then you must take the initiative to help him solve his problems."
"This isn't for others—it's for yourself."
"You are brothers. You are family. If he racks up massive debts in the future, catches a deadly virus, or gets kidnapped and chopped into pieces, you will bear the responsibility and the pain behind it."
"If you indulge him now, you're being irresponsible—to yourself, your parents, your sister, and your entire family!"
"If you can't even sweep your own house, how can you sweep the whole world?"
"Let him suffer a small loss now. Let him see the true colors of those bad friends. Let him turn back before it's too late. That's the real solution."
Cristiano Ronaldo nodded, agreeing with Kai's approach.
But he still found it hard to accept:
"My 1,050 doesn't matter… but if he owes a huge amount this time, our family can't afford it. What if we buy it ourselves and win? We can earn back the money my brother lost."
"I promise not to make too much money, I—"
Kai immediately interrupted him:
"Stop! Professional players must never get involved in match-fixing, even if you're confident. You'll be a football superstar in the future—you can't afford this kind of stain."
"Don't forget why we stopped your brother from gambling in the first place. Wasn't it to prevent you from having a dark history in this area?"
Ronaldo was completely out of ideas.
He knew that a debt of over ten thousand would mean nothing to him in the future.
But he would never be able to earn that money in the next two or three years.
And that amount meant… disaster for an already poor Madeira family.
"Take it." Kai pulled out a pair of swollen socks from his room.
Ronaldo opened them and saw stacks of rolled-up cash inside.
Twenty thousand US dollars!
"You—!" Ronaldo was stunned.
How could Kai have so much money?
This was a massive sum!
"Betting requires judgment," Kai said casually. "I wasn't a professional player before joining Sporting Lisbon's youth academy, so buying some sports lottery tickets was completely reasonable."
He spread his hands and added,
"Granny, listen to your uncle—this water is too deep. You can't control it."
"Holy shit! You bet on France to win the World Cup?" Ronaldo exclaimed.
Kai shook his head. "France were already favorites, the odds weren't high. I bet on Croatia finishing third."
What the fuck?!
Ronaldo was completely shocked.
Before this World Cup, public opinion was that Croatia might not even make it out of the group.
Yet Croatia actually finished third, pushing their ceiling even higher after their breakthrough in the last European Championship.
Cristiano Ronaldo took the money and said:
"I think you need to quit gambling even more than my brother. What you're doing is insane. At least he's betting on a match he understands—one his brother actually plays in."
"And you're betting on a World Cup you supposedly know nothing about!"
Kai just smiled and said nothing.
What kind of gamble is it when you already know the result?
Know nothing about the World Cup?
Do you know about Zidane's headbutt?
Have you seen Suárez bite people?
Is South Korea's dark version of Kung Fu Football not insane enough?
Can you believe Spain built a dynasty across the Euros, World Cup, and Euros again?
Portugal winning the European Championship—can you even imagine that?
Kai knew the World Cup inside out.
Not just the World Cup.
He knew everything about the Euros, the Champions League, and more.
"Enough," Kai said seriously. "Now we have a reason to win the next match."
"To save your brother. To pull him back onto the right path."
"Yeah." Ronaldo nodded and turned away.
His eyes were red.
Kai had done far too much for him.
Sensing his emotions, Kai added lightly:
"It's fine. We're brothers."
"If you really feel guilty, just pass the ball to me more often."
This time, Ronaldo nodded hard and engraved the word 'pass' straight into his DNA.
"By the way, Kai, do your uncle and aunt know you have this much money?"
Kai replied, "Getting rich overnight isn't a good thing. I'll let them adapt slowly."
Ronaldo said, "So the soup my aunt made for my uncle last time had ginseng in it, not radish?"
Kai smiled. "Low-key. Low-key."
Cristiano Ronaldo laughed. "No wonder I've been drawing maps at night—aren't you going too far?"
Kai replied calmly, "Look at me, I'm fine. You're just not getting enough nutrition."
Ronaldo asked, "If you're already this rich, why are you still playing football?"
Kai said, "This is nothing. It's not even equal to a superstar's weekly salary. You need broader vision."
Ronaldo thought for a moment. "Then why don't you open a shop or start a business?"
Kai replied without hesitation:
"No underwear shops. No hair transplant clinics."
Ronaldo: ???
