Chapter 21 - It Is Time to Tell the Truth

While in Vayegi, Noah was preparing to enter the Chamber of Memory, in Marseille, at the Orleans family mansion, everything that had happened and the newly discovered information was being discussed.

Mr. Étienne spoke gravely:

"This is more serious than we expected. We need to inform the ÓBroin."

Élodie nodded.

"You're right. Give me thirty minutes to prepare a report and we will contact Mrs. Ciara. Kenji, come with me; it will be faster that way."

At that moment, Elena received the message that the base in Warsaw had been attacked and was now completely deserted.

Kenji received it as well and frowned.

"This is bad. A great deal of classified information was stored at that base. If they took all of it, it puts us in a very dangerous situation. Come on, we need to hurry."

Meanwhile, at the ÓBroin family mansion, Mrs. Ciara was analyzing the same report when Natasha interrupted her.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Ciara. Mr. Étienne Orlean is on the line and is requesting an emergency meeting with you."

Ciara set aside the tablet she was holding and said firmly:

"Very well. Connect the video to the main screen."

"As you wish," Natasha replied.

The image came online, and several people could be seen on the other side of the connection.

"Apologies for calling so suddenly, but we have extremely important information that cannot wait."

"Go ahead," Ciara replied. "At this moment, formalities are not the priority."

"Allow me to introduce them," Étienne continued. "This is Miss Elena Kowalska and the young Kenji Arata, analysts from the Atlas Division."

"Thank you for your assistance," Ciara replied.

Elena continued:

"We have discovered that in the recent attacks carried out on the bases of the Five Families, in addition to being orchestrated by Claimoors, an organization using the same eagle emblem was also involved."

"That is correct," Ciara affirmed. "They were coordinated attacks on the five main headquarters, as well as the Sevianko base."

"And what is most disturbing," Elena continued, "according to our reports, the original Claimoors only had four tentacles."

"That is correct," Ciara replied. "I saw them with my own eyes."

"This is where everything changes," Kenji interjected. "The Claimoors that attacked the Orleans base had six tentacles."

Ciara rose in shock.

"How is that possible?" she asked, her tone filled with surprise.

"That's right," Kenji replied. "We believe they are new creations. I assume you are already aware of the relic theft from last year, at the same Warsaw base that was attacked yesterday. While reviewing the report, we discovered that among the stolen items were records detailing how the Kartnod elementals created the Claimoors, and we believe that whoever stole those relics managed to replicate the process."

"Worse still," Élodie added, "we believe they perfected them, and that they are now stronger than those described in historical records."

Ciara let out a deep sigh.

"This is worse than we anticipated."

"That's not all," Étienne continued. "According to the analysis of the attack we suffered, they attempted to take the files that show the exact locations of the other dimensional cells. We believe their intention is to position their forces and break all the seals at the same time, thus initiating a simultaneous assault."

"If they succeed while we are unprepared, the families will suffer enormous casualties, and worse still, thousands of civilians will die."

"We believe we must contact the world leaders, tell them the entire truth, and ensure they prepare: that their armies evacuate civilians and that the families' forces mobilize. This will be a war like the one from five thousand years ago."

Ciara nodded, her expression serious.

"I understand. We must contact the Minamoto and the Cavalcanti. We must step forward and provide many explanations in a very short amount of time. World leaders are currently in complete chaos, and we will have to be very honest."

"We must make it clear to them that ordinary humans will not be able to fight against the forces of the Kartnod, nor against that mysterious organization if they already possess Claimoors."

Étienne paused briefly before continuing.

"There is one more thing. We believe they are aware of the existence of the Nexus of the End."

"What did you say?" Ciara shouted, rising to her feet in shock.
