Chapter 31 - The Changes!

_-·

On the mountain with a height of 300 ft., there exists endless caves formation, instead of weakening the mountain it helps in strengthening it and makes space for the living of some unfortunate peoples.

The mountain itself is filled with grass and trees on the surface and with controlled waterways it helps in protecting the formation.

"By the grace of Divine jungle lion, I am here to select few among you to carry out next generation of Hidden blade unit," a man looking like half wolf and half human said these words in his husky voice on a platform, and giving lecture to thousands of people present in this cave he felt an unmistakable pride which flowed from his words, the people who were present here mostly human females carrying their new born human child with a ruthless emotion in their eyes.

Among them was Dreleon, and as he turned his head to see the face of his mother, everything blurred as he was jolted awake, his throat dry and eyes filled with unknown fear.

'Hah…hah… so again that dream, just what is that place and who is that kid?,' he thought, trying hard to remember.

"Dreleon… dreleon…," a high pitched voice entered his ears, he turned his head to see who it was and it turned out to be the royal maid assigned to the princess.

She was beautiful in a way that felt like pouring warm water over ice, it was strange and mysterious, and because she was also a human, dreleon felt an invisible connection with her; whenever he saw her he felt an emotion hard to put in words.

"What is it?," he asked, annoyed by her intrusion, but if it was the previous Dreleon, he would have apologized instead.

"Huh?," shocked, she still continued, "princess have issued an order for you to go market with her to prepare something for the upcoming competition,"

"Ok." He said lazily like it's not a big deal.

'What happened to him? He is acting strange after coming from his training,' she thought.

After wearing armor and dressing in his royal clothes over it, he walked out from his tent.

Currently they were in an area with tall emerald grasses, the sun was adorning them with its beauty, spilling warm light over like golden grace.

With his steady steps over the grass, he walked towards the quarters of the princess.

After some time, his steps halted in front of a tent, it was red in colour with golden sides, with some pattern of a golden lion in the middle, a Flag with a figure of golden claw on a green grass was inscribed over it.

It was the flag of the divine Jungle lion tribe.

On the gates of the tent, two guards in golden armour were stationed with a shining red spear looking majestic and ready to pierce the skies.

Dreleon gave them a small nod; he guards acknowledging him with a nod too, Dreleon opened the thick clothed door by pulling a rope and entered the tent, then the view before him was something that took his breath away, he saw the princess in her human form; Dressed in a Vibrant cerulean blue dress happily smiling towards him, like she knew he was coming right away.

He bowed towards her, and was going for greetings when she interrupted him by waving her hands.

"Dreleon, I heard there's a big market before the competition, where merchants from all over the animal kingdom come to sell their things, and I also want to purchase those things, i heard that many royals also visit that place for goods from other kingdoms," she said energetically, instead of a stern and tyrannical look, she had a pleading look that made it hard to reject.

"Your highness, fulfilling your order is my priority. I will prepare the carriage," his head still bowed, with a look of utmost seriousness he said.

"No, no, not a carriage, I just want the two of us, you and me, to go shopping, Dreleon," she said hurriedly like a stubborn girl.

Dreleon now standing straight, and seeing her resolute eyes, something flickered in his heart, not the white heart flare's pain, but something that made it hard to question her request.

"As you say, your highness," he said, thinking no one could harm her on his watch.

"Then let's go…," she said energetically and ran towards the market, behind her tall grass whistled in a rhythm, Dreleon also ran his speed matching her, also keeping an eye on any threat in a ten meter radius through spatial perception.
