Chapter 51 - Violet Falls for Him

Goku quickly swung the massive mech around, spinning it like a tornado.

Then—

he raised it high and smashed it down into a building.

BAM!

The structure collapsed, but the mech's exterior showed no damage at all.

He swung it up again, turned, and slammed it into another building.

Another collapse.

In the blink of an eye, Goku had smashed it over and over. Inside the cockpit, Black was being hurled around like laundry in a washing machine—completely disoriented, life and death unknown.

Down below, Violet stared, stunned.

This kid—this small body—was casually whipping around a machine that weighed over ten tons, pounding it like a punching bag.

Violet had never been the type to fall for "pretty boys."

Her admiration ran in one direction only—toward strength.

Watching Goku descend like a god of war, her eyes filled with blazing worship.

He's so strong… I really like him…

At that moment, the mech's arm finally snapped off under the abuse. The whole machine slammed onto the ground with a heavy crash.

Goku leaned in and glanced at Black inside the cockpit.

He seemed to have passed out.

Black's ambition was enormous.

If he survived, he would definitely rebuild the Red Ribbon Army and rise again.

Regular soldiers? Goku could let them go.

But Black?

No.

Goku decided Black deserved the cruelest ending.

He lifted the entire mech overhead and hurled it into the sky.

Then he set his hands at his waist, palms cupped like a flower bud, and began chanting:

"Kame… Ha… Me… HA!"

A blinding white beam erupted upward—

a thick, roaring Kamehameha that swallowed the mech whole.

When the light faded, both mech and Black had turned to ash.

Goku exhaled slowly.

"That should be settled."

"Next… I need the last Dragon Ball."

"If nothing goes wrong, I can just go find Pilaf and those two idiots…"

Just then, Violet suddenly ran up in front of him.

"Wait—Son Goku!"

Goku blinked and looked at her. "Huh? You're still here. What do you want?"

Her face turned red. "Son Goku… can you take me with you?"

Goku looked even more confused. "Take you… with me?"

She nodded rapidly like a pecking chick.

"Yes! If you're willing to bring me along, I'll do anything. I'm useful, I really am—just tell me what to do!"

Goku frowned. "Why do you want to follow me? Let's be clear—I'm not interested in ruling the world."

"No, no, no! It's not that!" Violet panicked.

"Then what is it?" Goku asked.

Her face became bright red, like she'd walked into a fire.

Finally, she lifted her head and stared right at him.

"Son Goku… I like you."

"I like strong men like you."

"The Red Ribbon Army has fallen. I have nowhere to go."

"Please… take me with you."

Crack—

It felt like lightning split through Goku's mind.

I'm getting confessed to?!

Is my charm really that strong?

What an… pleasantly annoying problem.

Goku nodded. "Alright. Deal."

"From now on, when we go out, you'll fly the plane."

"Really?! Thank you!" Violet practically glowed, bouncing happily as she rushed closer.

Goku asked, "But I didn't bring a plane. Do you have one?"

"If you do, let's leave."

Violet nodded immediately. "Of course! The base has plenty of aircraft."

Then she leaned in, her eyes shining mischievously.

"But… I want you to come with me first. I know where their treasury is."

"Let's empty it. What do you think?"

Goku froze for a second—then nodded.

"That's a great idea. I like women who know how to make money."

Violet's face lit up.

"Really? I thought you'd think I'm greedy… vulgar…"

Goku waved his hand. "What are you talking about?"

"Money is how you enjoy life. There's nothing shameful about earning it."

"And from now on—be straightforward with me. I don't like guessing games."

Hearing that, Violet felt like her heart was blooming.

"I understand!"

Her bright eyes nearly turned watery just from looking at his profile.

Not long after, the two of them cleaned out the Red Ribbon Army's vault.

Violet picked a plane and leisurely flew Goku away from the ruined base.

With current technology, the plane couldn't fly anywhere near the height of Karin Tower. So once they reached the base of the tower, Goku stored the aircraft into a capsule, then carried Violet and flew straight up to the top.

Upa and his father watched, their minds shattered again.

So he didn't need to climb at all—he could just fly.

Karin Tower — The Top

Ever since Goku left, Krillin, Karin, and Bulma had been watching everything unfold through the water jar—Goku storming the Red Ribbon headquarters…

And of course, Violet's confession too.

When they saw Goku returning with Violet, Krillin's nose stung.

That familiar bitterness rose up in his chest.

"Goku, you bastard… your luck is ridiculous!"

"He already has tons of girls who like him…"

"And he goes to punch through an enemy base—and still gets confessed to?!"

"I'm so jealous my teeth are itching!"

Then Krillin glanced at Bulma carefully and asked in a cautious voice:

"Hey, Bulma… let me ask you something."

Bulma tilted her head. "What?"

"What kind of guys do girls like?"

Bulma thought for a moment.

"Everyone's different."

"But for me? I like handsome, tall, and strong."

"Of course, some girls prefer rich guys…"

Krillin nodded seriously.

"Then Goku's right."

"I have to work harder. I have to win the World Martial Arts Tournament again."

"If I become famous—like a fighting superstar—girls will definitely like me!"

Bulma looked at Krillin and suddenly wore a mischievous smile.

"I have a way to make girls like you right now."

Krillin's eyes widened. "What way?!"

Bulma said sweetly, "Collect the Dragon Balls and wish for Shenron to make you taller and handsome."

Krillin's mouth twitched.

"I want to be taller and handsome."

"But if Shenron changes me like that… am I still me?"

Bulma froze, then looked him up and down.

No nose. No hair. Not tall.

If he wanted to become a "cool handsome guy," that wouldn't be a small makeover—it'd basically be a full replacement.

Bulma sighed.

"You're right… you'd have to change too much."

"But you're kind of weird… and still somehow easy to look at."

Krillin nodded.

"Exactly. Everyone is unique."

"Compared to turning into some other person, I'd rather stay myself."

"So I'll choose the hard way—becoming strong and winning as a champion."

Bulma nodded too.

"True."

"If I were making a wish, I'd want to stay myself too. If I suddenly looked different, I couldn't accept it—and neither could my parents."

Then she covered her cheeks and giggled.

"Besides… I'm already pretty and adorable… hehehe."

Right then, Karin glanced down from the tower.

"They're back."

A moment later, Goku arrived with Violet.

"Bulma! Krillin! Karin! I'm back!"
