Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 — Golden-Horned Beast

Because Bai Yue had participated directly in the development of the Mist Island ruins, the major powers soon began knocking on his door.

Their goal was simple—mu ya crystal.

In exchange, they brought out piles of materials salvaged from ancient civilization ruins: fragments of alien metals, damaged spaceship hulls, broken origin-force components, and strange items whose functions Earth's technology could not yet decipher. Some were completely unusable; others were clearly valuable but impossible to restore with current industrial capabilities.

To Earth's major powers, these things were burdens—warehouse space occupied by objects that could neither be repaired nor fully understood. Exchanging them for mu ya crystal was, in their eyes, a perfect deal.

For Bai Yue, however, the value was immeasurable.

As long as he obtained a single sample, he could analyze its structure, secret patterns, and function—then reconstruct it in full through the Dao Fruit. Even incomplete wreckage could become a complete reference, allowing him to expand his creation catalog and deepen his understanding of origin-force equipment.

Among these gains, the most important was not any single material—but the Secret Pattern school itself.

Secret patterns were the foundation of high-level weapons, equipment, and even supreme techniques. In the future, they would become indispensable when creating advanced origin-force weapons or deducing powerful secret techniques. Luo Feng's later creation of a Universe Lord–level ultimate technique was inseparable from this foundation.

At present, Bai Yue's mastery was still shallow. He could barely imitate third- or fourth-tier weapons, and even that required careful reference. But a foundation laid early would pay off endlessly later.

The most gratifying progress, however, lay elsewhere.

His Domain.

When his Earth Domain first broke through to the sixth level, Bai Yue could already faintly sense the existence of the Earth Origin Law. That feeling had been vague, like a distant mountain hidden behind mist.

After returning and formally studying the Yunmo Planet inheritance, he deliberately selected an Earth-attribute manual. With systematic guidance at the Undying Lord level, his progress became explosive.

In less than a year, his Earth Domain broke straight through to the eighth level, and he successfully grasped a thread of the Earth Origin Law.

The higher the Domain level, the clearer one's perception of origin laws became—but comprehension was not restricted to the ninth level. Many true geniuses in the universe comprehended origin laws early, sometimes even multiple kinds.

In this regard, the Yunmo Planet inheritance had arrived at exactly the right moment.

Without it, Bai Yue could still have advanced—but only by groping blindly, step by step, just like Hong and Thunder God had done. Their strength was unquestionable, but their progress relied entirely on personal exploration, slow and arduous.

In terms of force amplitude, Bai Yue had never lacked confidence.

Even back when Earth's inheritance was barren, he had forcibly pushed his own force amplitude to seventeen times, a level already considered genius-tier at the Planetary Level in the wider universe.

Now, with Yunmo Planet's martial artist inheritance added to his foundation, the upper limit was far from visible.

Another year passed in the blink of an eye.

This year was unprecedentedly peaceful.

The major powers that had obtained mu ya crystal all chose restraint, quietly accumulating strength. Even large-scale Monster activity declined noticeably.

During this time, Bai Yue had his intelligent assistant Long Kui continuously monitor the global satellite network, attempting to capture traces of the Golden-Horned Beast in advance.

There were no results.

As one of the peak races of the universe, the Golden-Horned Beast race ensured absolute safety during the incubation and growth of their young. Earth's technological level was simply incapable of detecting them.

Early one morning, after finishing his cultivation, Bai Yue strolled naturally toward Luo Feng's house.

Recently, Luo Feng's parents were traveling, and Luo Hua had moved out with his girlfriend. Only Luo Feng and Xu Xin remained at home.

Bai Yue's purpose was simple.

To freeload a meal.

And, incidentally, to endure a little "dog food."

As Luo Feng's childhood friend, he had known for years about Luo Feng's feelings toward Xu Xin. Now that Luo Feng's strength had reached a level no one could obstruct, their relationship had advanced rapidly—marriage was already on the agenda.

Xu Xin had started coming over frequently to cook, which conveniently benefited Bai Yue as well.

"Sister-in-law, is the food ready?" Bai Yue called out as he entered, dropping onto the sofa without ceremony.

"What are we eating today?"

"Almost done," Xu Xin replied from the kitchen, rolling her eyes.

"Tea's on the table. Pour it yourself."

She was long past the stage of complaining about this familiar freeloader.

Luo Feng descended from the second-floor cultivation room shortly after. Seeing Bai Yue was not even remotely surprising.

The two chatted casually about cultivation while waiting for the meal.

At the same time—half a world away—New York's war base was facing annihilation.

Three high-frequency laser cannons fired simultaneously, beams of light slamming into a massive Monster clad in black-gold armor.

The beams vanished.

The Monster was unharmed.

Not a single scale was damaged.

A low roar reverberated across the ruined city. The pressure alone caused surrounding Monsters to collapse to the ground, while soldiers inside the base felt their souls go cold.

The Monster opened its mouth.

Space twisted.

The entire war base began to compress—shrinking, folding inward—soldiers screaming as everything was swallowed whole.

When its jaws closed, the base had vanished completely.

Moments later, countless sea Monsters surged ashore. Even the two former ocean Emperor-level Monsters appeared, circling the black-gold figure like attendants before a god.

The sharp horn pierced the sky.

Its roar announced its arrival to the world.

China.

The Dojo of Limits.

The Thunder Dojo.

Within minutes, Earth's major powers detected the anomaly.

In Jiangnan Base City, Bai Yue and Luo Feng received an urgent summons from Mohanderson, the Third Speaker of the War God Palace.

No explanation was given—only an order to attend the highest-level meeting immediately.

Inside the War God Palace, Bai Yue was guided straight to the top-floor conference hall.

More than fifty Councilors in gold robes were already present, along with numerous God of War–level experts and specially authorized national leaders.

The atmosphere was heavy.

Something truly world-shaking had arrived.

And Bai Yue already knew its name.
