Chapter 22 - Chapter 11.1 — The Pieces of Eden from Assassin’s Creed

"Why not… build a Brotherhood in this Marvel world?"

The thought struck him like lightning.

Once it appeared, it burned fiercely in his mind.

Memories from his thousand years in the game world surfaced—

Altaïr.

Ezio.

Edward.

Connor.

Kassandra.

Bayek.

And one person he could never forget—

Shao Yun.

"The Assassin Brotherhood must rise again,"

Shaun Cole muttered to himself.

"Not just for me… but for this world."

With that, he stood up and walked outside.

Reaching the open air, Shaun Cole let out a sharp whistle.

Aquila and Snow soon flew in from afar.

"I'm heading out," Shaun Cole said to the two eagles perched on his shoulders.

"I might not be back for a few months. Help me keep an eye on the place."

"Gu… ji-ji!"

Snow chirped softly from his left shoulder.

Shaun Cole smiled.

"No need. You've got children now—stay here and take care of them."

With that, he left the palace. Snow and Aquila spread their wings and soared into the sky.

At the palace gates, Shaun Cole waved once more to the two eagles circling above—then burst into a sprint down the mountain.

Following the map in his mind, Shaun Cole reached the mountain's edge and climbed to the highest point.

Eagle Vision—activate.

Within moments, images spanning hundreds of kilometers appeared in his mind.

On the mental map, he spotted a temple.

Marking the route, Shaun Cole leapt down and headed straight toward it.

An hour later, he arrived at the foot of the mountain where the temple stood.

Villagers in the settlement below stared at Shaun Cole with puzzled expressions as he passed by.

In their memories, the revered sorcerers who lived atop the snowy peaks did not dress like this.

"Greetings, honored guest. May I ask who you are?"

An elderly man stepped forward respectfully.

"Hello, elder," Shaun Cole replied with a warm smile.

"I'm just passing through. I'm heading up the mountain."

Shaun Cole had always felt goodwill toward elders and kind villagers.

After all, the first friend he had ever made after transmigrating into the game world was Bayek of Siwa, Egypt's guardian. Spending time with Bayek had changed him deeply.

Of course—

That goodwill was reserved only for good people.

"Oh! So you're heading to the temple!"

the old man said hurriedly.

"It's almost noon. Would you like to eat with us first? Afterward, we can send someone to guide you up."

Hearing this, Shaun Cole realized he truly was hungry.

Since the Ancient One had left the day before, he hadn't eaten at all.

He had planned to have food sent up later anyway.

"Haha, then thank you, elder,"

Shaun Cole said with a grin.

"To be honest, I really am starving."

"Good, good!"

the old man said happily while leading Shaun Cole inside.

"Durba! Quickly—go slaughter a tahr! We have an honored guest!"

"Understood, Village Chief!"

A man wrapped in thick winter clothing responded and hurried off.
