Until the night she got lost in the forest
The moon was full -brilliant, unforgiving and Lena's flashlight flickered out just as a growl rolled through the trees low controlled not animal not human she ran , roots caught her boots branches tore at her jacket and she fell hard right at the feet of the very man everyone feared.
Elias Blackwood stared down at her , chest rising too fast jaw clenched like he was fighting something inside him. His eyes glowed faintly silver.
"Go" he said hoarsely "Now"
But it was already too late .
