Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Janna Is Actually Real! (EC)

Spirit Blossom Gang hideout—

By the time Logan returned, more than an hour had passed, and the people gathered around the Spirit Blossom Gang had already drifted away one after another.

Most of them hadn't slept all night, and their work shift had stretched to thirty hours. Once the excitement faded, the drowsiness naturally hit.

Logan entered the house with Janna. The little green bird sat on his shoulder with half-lidded eyes, dozing.

It looked like, with her faith power running low, Janna was having trouble staying fully awake.

Inside the room, Silco hadn't left. He was eating breakfast at a table. When Logan walked in, Silco lifted his eyes to glance at him, then lowered his head and kept eating.

After a couple more bites, he dabbed his mouth with a napkin in an elegant motion, looked up at Logan, and said, "I still have a few things to discuss with you. You left too quickly, so I waited here."

"Perfect timing, Silco." Logan looked at him. "Compared to what you want to talk about, I think what I'm about to say is more important. I've got something to tell you."

As he moved deeper into the house, he added, "Wait here. I'll go get Jinx and the others."

Silco nodded, sat back down, and continued eating quietly.

The food tasted good. Honestly, Logan really did know how to live—clean ingredients, seasoning that wasn't too heavy, nothing harsh or gritty on the tongue. Silco rarely ate in the morning, but today he'd eaten quite a lot.

And now Silco finally understood why Jinx had put on a little weight under Logan's care.

He was very satisfied with the breakfast, but… while he ate, there was always someone staring at him with a not-so-friendly look. That part made him less satisfied.

At that moment, not far behind Silco, Vi was biting into a piece of bread, glaring at his back like her eyes could shoot fire.

If she hadn't seen with her own eyes how Jinx and Silco interacted, Vi would've already thrown him into a chokehold.

She might not be able to beat Sevika, but did that mean she couldn't beat Silco?

This guy looked like a total weakling.

Ten minutes later, Jinx, Silco, Sevika, Vi, Ekko, Marsen, Manzu, and several other key members of the Spirit Blossom Gang had gathered, and Heimerdinger had been called over too.

He'd originally been at the air purification device, preparing to monitor its energy consumption and the wear on the third-layer filter at the bottom. Heimerdinger wanted to collect data and see whether the machine could still be improved.

But being called over by Logan didn't make him reluctant at all. He was the classic kind-hearted type—friendly to an extreme—so he simply sat beside Ekko and looked toward Logan.

The longer he looked, the more Heimerdinger's eyes drifted toward Logan's shoulder, confusion creeping into his expression.

Then his eyes widened. His huge head bobbed as if his mind couldn't catch up, and he stammered, unable to get the words out.

And at that moment, Logan spoke.

"Everyone. I called you here because I have something to tell you." Logan took a deep breath and said in a low, steady voice.

He knew how shocking what he was about to say would be. When he'd first seen Janna, even Logan—who'd already suspected the truth—had been stunned.

So there was no reason these people wouldn't be.

Logan didn't bother building suspense, because there was no need.

Besides—this was something they might not be able to accept, but would have to accept anyway.

"The thing I'm telling you is this: I found our god."

"Janna. I found Janna," Logan said loudly.

"Huh?"

"Janna? Wait—Boss, are you sure… I mean, are you sure you're not just out of it?"

"Janna, Logan… isn't that just a story?"

"Janna?" Jinx had both hands wrapped around her slender ankles, rocking her body back and forth. When she heard him, she said, "So you finally decided? You want to play pretend with me?"

It was obvious—nobody believed him.

If Logan had said he'd seen the goddess Janna, and that she'd given him a message to lead Zaun, everyone would think it sounded absurd… but it wouldn't be impossible to believe.

After all, Logan was already so strong that no one could understand him. And if he claimed he was Janna's follower and had received her help, people would be more than willing to believe it—and even more willing to help spread the story.

But what was Logan saying?

He found Janna?

Logan didn't explain. He simply raised a hand and lightly touched his shoulder with a fingertip.

His index finger brushed the little bird's head, and he said softly, "I'm going to need you to show yourself, Janna."

Honestly… if Janna weren't a god worthy of respect, Logan really would've wanted to do something right then.

Grab the little bird and toss it out, then shout at the top of his lungs: Show yourself, little superstar!

But Logan very obviously didn't dare.

From Logan's perspective, he could see Janna. But from everyone else's perspective, Logan was just touching his own shoulder in a strange way—without even touching anything.

"My goodness…" But in the crowd, one person reacted differently.

Heimerdinger.

His eyes wide, he stood up, stepped out from Ekko's side, and walked toward Logan, wringing his small hands together. His big eyes blinked rapidly as he looked up at Logan's shoulder.

"This is real? You're actually… you're really still here."

"So the disaster records were true… and I wasn't wrong. Ever since Logan walked in, I've felt a kind of energy," Heimerdinger muttered.

Yordles were born with a natural affinity for magic, beloved by Runeterra itself. Elemental spirits were always willing to lend them a hand.

Kind, innocent Heimerdinger was certainly one of those.

A green glow flickered into view. The little green bird manifested on Logan's shoulder and lowered her head to look at Heimerdinger.

"This should be our first meeting, kind yordle," Janna said softly.

That ethereal voice echoed through the room—

"What the hell?!" Vi dropped right off her stool, clutching her backside while staring at the little bird on Logan's shoulder.

Ekko's mouth fell open, disbelief written all over his face.

Jinx's small mouth hung slightly open too, her blue eyes full of confusion as she leaned forward, frozen.

Silco stood up immediately and walked toward Logan, his expression shifting between dark and uncertain.

Everyone present was stunned.

No—seriously. This… Logan… she… the legend was actually real?

Otherwise, how did you explain that voice?

It was as if it rang directly inside everyone's mind—crystal clear, ethereal and holy—and there was also that beautiful little green bird that had appeared out of nowhere.

In the old stories about Janna, there were descriptions of her form: most of the time she had no body at all—only a wind that brushed across people's hearts. But some claimed Janna was a massive, majestic green bird, wings so vast they blotted out the sky, saving sailors who'd lost their way on storm-tossed seas. Others said she could become a tiny, adorable green bird to guide sailors who'd gone astray across the open ocean. And some said she was a beautiful, tall woman with white hair, dressed in a long white gown.

On the faith plaques made for Janna in Zaun, the image carved into them was a green bird.

And so… everyone was completely blown away.

"That's what I needed to tell you." Logan grinned, teeth flashing white as he continued. "And next—everyone—we're not only going to install air purification devices in every corner of Zaun, we're also going to make sure every Zaunite knows that Janna has returned."

"Let everyone know our god is back," Logan said, smiling.

Zaun had won big against Piltover—morale soaring. The air purifiers and the wastewater project had united Zaun.

And Janna's appearance would push Zaun to a whole new height.

Was there anything more exhilarating than a vanished god returning?

Even in Piltover, plenty of people still knew about Janna—and even believed in her.

And Janna appeared in Zaun at the moment the relationship between Zaun and Piltover was at its most tense.

What would the people of Piltover think?

They would panic.

To both Piltover and Zaun, Janna was like a "mother." And now that mother was standing on the side that had been bullied—of course the other side wouldn't feel good about it.

Logan didn't wait for everyone to process it before continuing:

"I've given this plan a name. I'm calling it the Divine Restoration Plan."

Silco stopped in front of Logan. Hearing those words, he stared at the little green bird on Logan's shoulder with a complicated look.

The little bird met Silco's eyes. The next moment, she rose from Logan's shoulder and fluttered toward Silco.

Silco instinctively took a step back—then stopped.

He let the little bird, struggling as she was, land on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Silco. When you needed me most, I was powerless."

"I heard your prayers… back when you were still young…"

Janna's gentle voice sounded beside Silco's ear—soft enough that only he could hear it.

Silco lifted his head and closed his eyes.

For a long time, he said nothing.

And the fists he'd clenched so tightly… slowly relaxed.
