Silence hung over the lecture hall like a heavy, suffocating blanket.
It was so intense you could literally hear the soft hum of the overhead lamp above! Even Professor Myra, standing awkwardly near the podium, cleared her throat and lifted her wire-rimmed glasses with a trembling finger.
"H-Haha... Wow!" Professor Myra forced out an incredibly uncomfortable, strained laugh, sweating under her collar. "Look at that, everyone! You guys have a... a very distinguished new classmate joining our cohort today... Isn't that wonderful?"
Standing at the front of the room, Princess Seraphina Vaelhale remained completely motionless. Her posture was flawless, her icy violet eyes radiating an aura of untouchable, aristocratic composure. (Yey, spelled it right PRIM!)
On the outside, she looked like a cold, divine conqueror who looked down upon ordinary mortals.
On the inside? Heh… Seraphina was suffering an absolute panic attack.
