Chapter 6 - SHOWER SCENE.

***

"Tweet. Tweet."

The sound slipped into my dreams and I woke up.

I groaned, rubbing my eyes as I pushed myself upright on the bed. My phone vibrated weakly beside my head, I then reached for it and shut off the alarm.

5:00 a.m.

"…I see. Three hours until the real classes begin."

Too early.

I stood up and stretched, joints popping softly, then my gaze drifted toward Luna.

Luna was asleep on the top bunkbed, completely defenseless. Brown hair spilled over the edge, her chest rising and falling in slow, steady rhythm. Then a tiny line of drool glistened at the corner of her mouth.

"…That's cute—"

My eyes twitched.

"Wait… Nah. What the heck. She's not cute, at all."

I scratched my head hard, and approached the door, opening it.

The living room greeted me in silence.

Now that I actually looked, it was… nicer than I remembered.

A low couch sat against the far wall, that I never noticed before, it was fabric dark and unfamiliar. A flat-screen TV was mounted neatly across from it. The kitchen was compact but clean, steel counters, induction stove, cabinets that still smell faintly like a wod.

"…There's a TV in here?"

How did I miss all of this yesterday?

I let out a quiet sigh and walked into the kitchen. The academy dorms really didn't believe in luxury, but they didn't believe in suffering either.

I checked the fridge, took Eggs, Rice, Basic seasoning.

A few minutes later, the soft sizzle of oil filled the room. I cracked eggs into the pan, the sound sharp in the early morning quiet, then tossed leftover rice beside them, that I somehow found in the fridge.

Eggs, and fried rice.

"Nice"

***

With a sigh, I sat down at the table and ate my rice.

I scooped up a spoonful of eggs and rice, chewing absently while scrolling through the news on my phone.

"Oh…"

"Cool."

"Wow. Magic."

Nothing surprising. Just another day in a world that pretended weird things were normal.

After finishing, I stood up and washed my plate, then washed the one from last night too.

Might as well.

Once everything was clean, I headed back into the dorm room and grabbed a towel from my cabinet.

With another sigh, I made my way to the bathroom and turned on the shower.

Warm water poured down over me, washing away the lingering grogginess.

"…Now that I think about it," I muttered.

Then, quietly— "Status."

A window materialized in front of me.

The shower droplets struck its surface and slid off, scattering like rain against invisible glass.

I blinked.

"…Huh."

It wasn't just visual.

The window interacted with the water, deflecting it, yet the steam passed straight through. The heat didn't distort it either.

So it could interfere with physical, non-living things.

But not with living ones.

"…That's convenient," I murmured.

And a little unsettling.

I stared at the window for a moment, water running down my face.

"…It really is pathetic."

With a quiet sigh, I tapped Master Cook.

The window shifted.

Another panel unfolded.

『Master Cook』

Effect:

Any meal prepared by the user will consistently taste good, regardless of ingredients.

Even low-quality or questionable materials will be transformed into acceptable or even delicious— food.

Note:

This is not an artificial system enhanced passive.

This ability originates purely from the user's natural talent.

Classification has been added due to the abnormal level of proficiency.

"…Wow."

I blinked.

"I guess I really am that good at cooking."

A yawn slipped out.

I closed the window, letting it dissolve into mist, and leaned back under the stream of hot water.

Yeah.

This system was annoying.

But at least it had taste.

Then something caught my attention.

I glanced up and froze.

The mirror stared back at me.

"…Huh."

I tilted my head slightly.

Yeah.

I was… actually good-looking.

Not in an obvious, sharp jawed way, but something softer. A strangely balanced face. Clean features that leaned almost feminine, yet still undeniably dude. It was the kind of look that made you do a double take and then feel annoyed about it.

Like… damn this guy looks cute, then handsome.

"…This is unfair," I muttered.

My gaze drifted lower.

My build was lean, well-defined. Slender, but toned like someone who didn't look strong until they took their shirt off. Muscle lines clear, tight, disciplined, and I have a well endowed thing.

I snorted.

"Okay. Calm down, myself."

With a quiet nonchalant laugh, I turned away from the mirror and finished showering.

***

I stepped back into the dorm room, a towel secured around my waist, steam still clinging to my skin.

As I walked, I checked my phone.

6:48 a.m.

"…I see. One more hour."

Plenty of time before the academy decided to ruin my day.

Then I noticed Luna awake in her top bunkbed, with a suspicious look on me.

"W-wow… haha, that's a nice bod…" she said stuttering while covering her face with her phone.

"You're awake?" I said. "You should come down and eat something in the kitchen."

"Y-yea… you're right," then she awkwardly climbed down the ladder and awkwardly walked past me. "Ohoho, A-and I will go and take a shower too."

"Yea.. sure."

She left the dorm room and closed the door behind her.

Then I approach my cabinet and opened it, then I realized something.

"Now I guess… wait what am I even gonna wear… there's not even any uniform here."

Then suddenly, a uniform appeared inside the cabinet.

It was a robe and a normal uniform, with a black pants.

"Wow, that's cool."

I took it.

***

Hot water cascaded down as Luna leaned both hands against the tiled wall.

"…Why," she groaned, "why was he just casually walking around like that."

Her face turned red.

"And why am I so… FUCKING awkward?!"

She straightened and stared at her reflection in the mirror.

"…I mean," she muttered, brushing her damp hair back, "it's not like I'm not pretty too."

She tilted her head, examining herself.

Long lashes. Clear skin. A calm, almost elegant face she'd grown used to seeing— but others always seemed to stare at longer than necessary. Her purple eyes caught the light, deep and unusual, a trait passed down through her noble lineage.

"And hmmm… I guess… I have these weird unique traits… since my nipple is hiding, arghhh." she groaned.

She hated the fact that she suddenly got awkward by some half naked guy, her… Luna the noble girl who's freaky enough, that even something like that won't budge her, but he did.

"Fuck… and why is my body acting like this…"

Then suddenly Luna breath hitches as her hands move to her chest. She squeezes her breasts gently, her fingers brushing against her inverted nipples. One nipple is already out and hardened from the way she's been thinking of Rex body, and she teases it with her thumb, rolling it between her fingers.

"That… guy… why is his body so Amazing…" Luna said as she gasped for air.

A soft gasp escapes her lips, and she bites down on her lower lip. The sensation sends a jolt of pleasure through her body.

Her other hand then joins in, kneading and caressing her breast as she continues to tease her nipple. Her breath becomes heavier, small pants escaping with each touch. She leans against the sink for support.

Suddenly, a knock echoed through the bathroom door.

Knock. Knock.

"Hey? Luna you've been there so long, it's seven bro." Rex called out behind the door.

Luna yelped.

"W–whoa—!"

She slipped on the wet tiles, arms flailing as she barely caught herself against the wall.

"H– Hey! One second!" she shouted, heart pounding.

Water splashed at her body as she steadied her breathing, pressing a hand to her chest.

"…I'm awake, okay?!" she muttered to herself.

She shot an annoyed glance at the door, cheeks still warm.

"…This dorm is going to kill me."

Luna pressed her palms against the sink, staring at her reflection as steam clung to the mirror.

Her heart was beating too fast.

Way too fast.

"What are you muttering about in there? Just be FAST!" Rex's voice echoed from behind the bathroom door.

"I– I know!" she replied, a little too high-pitched. "Give me a second!"

She inhaled, then froze.

…Oh.

She looked down and realized she'd been… doing something… indecent.

With a sigh her shoulders loosened slightly.

"…Okay," she whispered to herself. "Get it together."

The fact that Rex Knox existed on the other side of that door.

"Yeah," she said louder, forcing confidence. "I'm fine."

Then suddenly.

"WOO— woahohoho!!!!!!"

"WHAT THE HELL? Why are you yelling?! Just hurry up!" Rex shouted, clearly losing patience.

"I'M COMING!" she yelled back.

Panicking, Luna grabbed her towel, wrapped it securely around herself, and reached for the door.

She hesitated.

Then opened it.

Rex stood right there.

Arms crossed. Posture straight. Expression annoyed.

But Luna ignored it, instead she saw the uniform.

The VAHARD academy uniform sat on him unfairly well— like it had been tailored around his frame instead of the other way around. The dark fabric followed his shoulders cleanly, the high collar framing his neck, the robe hanging just loose enough to give him that effortless, composed look.

Like…. It's so fair how is he so much more handsome

It even made him look taller. Sharper. Like someone who belonged exactly where he was standing.

And the worst part?

He looked completely normal about it.

Like he had no idea the uniform turned him into a walking oh my god…

"…Ah," Luna said, words escaping her before she could stop them.

"Yes. Of course."

Rex blinked. "What?"

"N–Nothing!" she said quickly, stepping past him and speed-walking down the hall. "Bathroom's all yours!"

He watched her go, brow furrowed.

"…Weird," he muttered.

Luna didn't slow down.

Her face was warm, but her thoughts were clearer now.

This wasn't about attraction.

It was about presence.

Rex Knox had that kind of presence.

The kind that made him dangerous.

Inside the dorm room, Luna opened her cabinet—

And paused.

The interior shimmered faintly, lines of pale mana-light tracing the edges of the compartment like a circuit completing itself. For half a second, the space looked empty.

Then—

Materialization.

Cloth folded itself into existence.

A pleated skirt, dark and clean-lined.

A standard VAHARD inner uniform, reinforced but breathable.

And a black robe, light at first glance, yet layered with subtle weight— it's surface threaded with sigils so fine they only revealed themselves when mana passed nearby.

"…No way," Luna whispered.

Her fingers hovered, then brushed the fabric.

It turned warm.

Not physically— but reactively. Like the uniform was aware of her presence.

"This is…" she muttered. "This is the same one Rex was wearing."

VAHARD Academy uniforms weren't issued manually. They were bound, mana-encoded garments that adjusted to the wearer's body, affinity, and dorm classification. The academy didn't care about fashion.

It cared about function.

And potential.

Luna swallowed and changed quickly.

The moment she put it on, the fabric adjusted. The skirt settled perfectly, neither restrictive nor loose. The inner uniform aligned along her posture, subtly encouraging balance. The robe fell over her shoulders with an authority that made her spine straighten without her realizing it.

…This thing is expensive.

No— beyond expensive.

When she stepped out of the cabinet area— Rex was still standing there.

Arms crossed. Back against the wall. His expression hadn't changed since five minutes ago— mildly annoyed, like he'd been dragged out of bed for something stupid but unavoidable.

Luna spun once.

Then again.

The robe flared slightly with her movement, the hem catching faint light.

"Woohoo," she said, forcing a playful tone. "Does it look good on me?"

Rex glanced over.

Once.

A brief, assessing look. Not awkward. Not lingering.

Then—

"Nah," he said. Flat.

Her smile froze.

"…Wow. Okay. But it does look good in you My husband. Hehe."

"I know." rex flatly.

Luna stared at him.

"...Yea." she muttered.

The uniform fit him unfairly well. The black fabric sharpened his silhouette, the robe framing his shoulders just enough to make him look composed— dengarously so. Not flashy. Not noble-pretty.

But solid.

Like someone who didn't need to prove anything.

Oh my god…

Why does it feel like he's getting more handsome the longer I look?

Rex turned away first.

"Let's just go," he said, already reaching for the door. "We're going to be late."

"…Y–Yeah," Luna replied, snapping out of it and following after him.

The dorm lights dimmed automatically as they left, mana flow shifting to standby.

Behind them, the room fell quiet.

Ahead—

[VAHARD Academy awaited.]
