Chapter 50 - Yusa's Love at First Sight

The Yuki-Onna's voice alone made one feel as if they were drowning in a gentle dream.

Even Kasumigaoka Utaha, a beautiful girl herself, felt her voice paled in comparison to the Yuki-Onna's.

"Welcome." Kawashima Toya was about to introduce Utaha when the Yuki-Onna spoke first.

"Good day. I am the sister of the little Yuki-Onna whom Kawashima-kun saved."

"My name is Yusa."

Utaha was stunned for a moment, then revealed a gentle smile. "Hello, my name is Kasumigaoka Utaha."

She figured it out; this Yuki-Onna seemed to be asserting her territory.

Toya took out some cups and asked, "Yusa, please have a seat. What would you and your sister like to drink?"

"I have coffee, tea, and soda."

As an agency specializing in paranormal commissions, how could the Trash Fox Detective Agency not be stocked with snacks and drinks?

Even if no clients came, he would need them while whiling away his free time.

"Tea is fine." Yusa sat down in the guest chair very cautiously, sitting upright and not daring to relax in the slightest.

She seemed worried that any carelessness would reveal an unsightly side to Toya.

Watching this, Utaha raised an eyebrow. "This is a Yuki-Onna?"

"The Yuki-Onna in ancient legends wouldn't act like this."

"Unless she met someone she liked."

"Could it be..."

She looked at Yusa. The emotions in those clear, cold eyes were definitely not fake.

This Yuki-Onna clearly had her sights on Toya.

For some reason, a huge sense of crisis welled up in Utaha's heart, as if something was about to be snatched away.

Toya brought two cups of tea and a cup of coffee, handing them to Yusa, the little Yuki-Onna, and Utaha respectively.

"Thank you very much." Yusa took the tea, accidentally brushing her hand against Toya's.

In an instant, that feeling akin to love at first sight surged into her heart again.

Excitement, joy, elation—all sorts of complex and indescribable emotions welled up.

"Is this what it feels like to find your other half?" Yusa's beautiful eyes rippled with light, releasing a strange brilliance.

Just a simple touch made her heart pound incessantly.

This was an emotion she had never experienced in her youth.

Unaware of Yusa's anomaly, Toya started chatting with her.

He didn't think there was anything special about himself that would attract the famous Yuki-Onna.

Beside them, the little Yuki-Onna blinked her eyes, watching her sister and Toya chat with a dazed, cute expression, occasionally letting out happy giggles.

She was too young to understand what emotions were.

She couldn't even do something as basic as speaking yet.

"Eh? Little Yuki-Onna!!!"

Just then, a joyful shout came from outside the Trash Fox Detective Agency.

Yuigahama Yui, with her peach-colored bun hair, ran in excitedly.

Behind her, a trace of surprise flashed in Yukinoshita Yukino's cool, beautiful eyes.

"That girl with the veil next to the little Yuki-Onna!"

"No mistake, that must be the adult Yuki-Onna Kawashima warned us not to approach."

Even through the veil, she could sense the beautiful face beneath it. Just looking at her made one feel ashamed of their own inferiority.

Yui hugged the little Yuki-Onna, rubbing her cheek against the little girl's face. "Little Yuki-Onna, didn't you go home?"

"Why are you back so soon?"

Yusa bowed politely to Yukino and Yui. "You must be the ones who met my sister."

"Thank you very much for your help with the little Yuki-Onna."

"It was nothing..." Yui's face flushed slightly, and she waved her hands hurriedly, indicating no thanks were needed.

Watching the interaction between the three, Toya deliberately asked, "Utaha, what do you think of Yusa's personality?"

Utaha rarely turned her head away in a tsundere manner, mocking sarcastically, "Comparing two girls is the worst."

"Do you think you're a modern-day harem king?"

"If you step on too many boats, they might all capsize in the end."

"Why did you steer the topic towards two-timing?" Toya didn't know how to answer Utaha.

Had he done anything?

It had only been a little over a week since he transmigrated.

Most of that week had been spent in an internet cafe.

Even if he wanted to two-time, he needed boats to step on first.

"Heh." Utaha sneered and turned to join Yusa and the others in conversation.

"There are surprisingly many people today, but no clients," Toya sighed.

If a commission came to the door, he believed the system would generate a corresponding mission.

In the Trash Fox Detective Agency, the girls' chatter filled the air, leaving no room for Toya to intervene.

"Guess I'll go play games."

"I can't just stay here and listen to their life experiences, can I?"

Not wanting to get involved in the girls' gossip, Toya chose to play games to kill time.
