The reason these Pokémon could enhance the power of their corresponding-type moves when their stamina decreased was because the latent elemental energy within their bodies became activated when they faced external pressure and stress.

Once that fundamental principle was understood, the application became much simpler. Many excellent Trainers could train their Pokémon to respond proactively, conditioning their bodies to recognize pressure signals and then attempting to actively trigger the corresponding Ability state.

This was precisely why the Pokémon belonging to top-tier Trainers could actively control themselves to enter the Torrent, Overgrow, and Blaze states during battles, rather than waiting for their HP to drop critically low.

Of course, this approach was not without its significant drawbacks. Actively triggering these Ability states would accelerate the Pokémon's stamina consumption dramatically, so deciding when and how to utilize them was also a crucial test of the Trainer's judgment and strategy.

Liu Shiyue, as expected of a top graduate from Magic City University, explained complex concepts in a profound yet remarkably easy-to-understand manner. After just one class session, David and the other students were completely captivated, gaining an entirely new understanding of how Pokémon Abilities functioned.

The Pokémon knowledge class concluded quickly. Now that they were third-year students, David and his classmates' schedules were no longer as rigidly structured as before. After this final class, since all of their lessons for the day had finished, they were free to head straight home.

The students, tired from a full day of studies and training, rushed out of the school gates one by one.

David, who still felt relatively energetic compared to his exhausted classmates, left school and—at his Pokémon's enthusiastic insistence—found a private battle club nearby. After spending two solid hours practicing moves and techniques with Zorua and Riolu, he finally returned home.

Over the next week, David and his classmates lived what could only be described as a 'hellish' existence, with a mandatory half-day of intensive physical training every single day, plus at least one theoretical class on Pokémon knowledge topics.

After enduring a full week of this regimen, Miles complained loudly that he had already lost a noticeable amount of body fat.

However, the arrival of the weekend finally offered them a small measure of comfort and relief—they could finally rest properly.

But before David could truly enjoy his weekend, he still had an important obligation to fulfill.

Just last night, one of the three Champion rewards he had previously earned—the approval for selecting rare items from the League's collection—had finally been processed and confirmed, instructing him to visit the Imperial City Trainer Association headquarters this morning to choose his reward.

On Saturday morning, after carefully checking the exact location of the Imperial City Trainer Association headquarters on the map application, David decisively chose to take a ride on a Corviknight taxi service.

The journey took almost half an hour before he finally arrived at the Association's imposing building.

Entering the Trainer Association's interior lobby, David glanced at the detailed layout map mounted on the wall and, following the directional signposts placed along the corridors, eventually found his destination for the day.

Perhaps because it was the weekend, there weren't many other people present in the spacious hall—only a handful of staff members were visible at their stations.

"Hello, I'm here to claim a reward."

David approached a random service counter, walked up to the staff member stationed there, and spoke politely while handing over his phone.

"Hello! Hmm~ Is this Trainer David? We're processing the relevant authorization procedures for you right now. Please wait just a moment."

The staff member accepted David's phone, scanned the verification code displayed on the screen, replied with practiced professionalism, and then began busying himself with various administrative procedures and documentation.

Seeing that the process would take some time, David wasn't in any particular hurry. He sat down quietly on a chair positioned in front of the counter and began surveying the service hall with interest.

As the headquarters of the Imperial City Trainer Association, the building was impressively grand in scale. Just this single service hall alone appeared capable of accommodating at least a thousand people comfortably.

David directed his gaze toward a prominent wall on one side of the hall. Carved into it was an elaborate relief depicting colorful flames, surrounded by symbolic representations of Water, Fire, and Electric types, all encircled by swirling flames. David immediately recognized it as a totem commemorating Ho-Oh.

It was said that when the Cloudspire Alliance was first established, it had received direct assistance from Ho-Oh itself. To commemorate and honor this legendary being, many official government buildings throughout the Cloudspire Alliance now featured such commemorative totems.

According to ancient legends, Ho-Oh was a divine deity who wielded sacred rainbow-colored flames. When Ho-Oh flew across the sky, it left behind a magnificent seven-colored rainbow trail, and the Sacred Ash that fell from Ho-Oh's body possessed the miraculous power to resurrect both people and Pokémon from death. Therefore, people used seven-colored flames as the primary symbol to represent Ho-Oh.

The surrounding symbols representing Water, Fire, and Electric types depicted Ho-Oh's legendary guardians—Entei, Suicune, and Raikou—who served to protect this divine being.

In the ancient legends, these three Legendary Pokémon were said to have been revived by Ho-Oh using Sacred Ash after perishing in a terrible tragedy.

"Your authorization procedures have been fully registered and approved. You're here to collect your Novice Cup Championship reward, correct? Please follow me this way."

After several minutes of processing, the staff member at the counter finally completed all the necessary paperwork, stood up from his seat, and began walking toward the interior corridors.

David followed closely behind the staff member as they proceeded deeper into the building. They walked through various corridors and stopped at several security checkpoints, and after nearly ten minutes of navigation, they finally arrived in front of a massive reinforced door.

"This individual is here to collect an authorized reward from the Association's secure warehouse. Please grant access. Thank you!"

The staff member called out toward the door. Just as David was still processing this unusual announcement, his Aura Power quickly detected something highly unusual—there was a clear sign of life emanating from the large door itself.

What the hell? How is that even possible? Is this actually a living door?

Suddenly, at that precise moment, the elaborate reliefs decorating both sides of the door began to tremble and vibrate, then slowly detached themselves from the door's surface. David looked more carefully and realized with amazement that the reliefs carved into the massive door were actually two Aegislash in disguise.

[Name: Aegislash] [Type: Steel/Ghost] [Energy Level: 59 (Professional Tier Two )] [Aptitude: Light Purple] [Gender: Genderless] [Held Item: None] [Ability: Stance Change] [Moves: Swords Dance, Slash, Power Trick, Pursuit, Fury Cutter, Night Slash, Aerial Ace, Shadow Sneak, Sacred Sword, King's Shield, Autotomize, Destiny Bond, Metal Sound, Head Smash...]

It seemed that the life force signatures he had sensed earlier belonged to these two Pokémon.

The system scan data flashed briefly through his mind. As expected of the Imperial City Trainer Association headquarters—even the guards stationed at the warehouse entrance were two powerful Aegislash at the peak of Professional Tier Two .

These two Aegislash had been concealed on the door in the form of decorative reliefs, remaining completely motionless. Being Ghost-type Pokémon with naturally suppressed presence, David hadn't detected them immediately upon arrival.

If any would-be thief attempted to sneak into this area, just these two Aegislash alone would be more than enough to give them an extremely difficult time.

What an impressive security measure! As expected of the headquarters. David secretly marveled at the setup.

Recognizing that it was an authorized staff member making the request, the two Aegislash gently floated aside, clearing the pathway forward.

The staff member stepped forward confidently and activated a concealed switch mechanism. The massive door opened to reveal a downward-descending elevator shaft. As the two of them walked into the elevator car, the observant David noticed the staff member press the button labeled for the fifth basement level.

The elevator began its slow descent into the depths of the building.

"This is the headquarters' underground secure warehouse, specifically designed for storing rare and valuable items. For security purposes, the access procedures are somewhat complicated and thorough. Your reward is stored down here."

The staff member offered this brief explanation during the descent.

A few moments later, the elevator came to a smooth stop. David followed closely behind the staff member, exited the elevator car, and walked a considerable distance through another series of secured corridors before they finally reached their intended destination.
