Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Vision

Crunch—

With a flash of white light, the red peppers were sliced, diced, and finally pulverized.

The next second, a pungent, spicy aroma filled the entire kitchen.

"Mmph~" Miss Lopunny covered her nose.

So spicy, so choking—

Once the peppers were ground into powder and the fiery essence erupted, Hakuya nodded in satisfaction, then cracked the eggs into a bowl.

"Lopunny, could you help me start the fire?"

"Okay~"

Lopunny answered softly and obediently went to the corner to fetch firewood.

"Now, the next part is..."

While Hakuya was thinking about the next step, a plate of Veluza meat floated in front of him.

Looking up, Miss Gardevoir, who should have been in the living room, was now standing at the kitchen door with a beaming smile.

"It's already sliced—"

She tilted her head cutely, blinking as if asking for a reward.

Without anyone noticing, this little nympho had thoughtfully teleported over to help him prep the meat.

Hakuya looked at the plate; the slices were perfectly uniform, showing he had taught his "knife skills" well.

Under the sword-light of her Extrasensory, each piece of meat was thin and even, looking appetizing even before hitting the pan.

"Good work."

Hakuya smiled as he took the plate, gently rubbing Gardevoir's head as she leaned in.

"Mmm~"

Feeling her Trainer's fingers slide through her hair, Gardevoir squinted her eyes in happiness.

When she wasn't in her "nympho" state, Gardevoir felt like a cool, ethereal "big sister" from next door.

Taking the meat, Hakuya lightly applied salt, poured in the cooking wine, and mixed the sliced meat with the egg whites, slowly stirring them in the bowl to marinate.

"The meat looks even smoother now," the hardworking Lopunny said, looking up from the stove.

Gardevoir also peered in, looking at her Trainer with anticipation.

She really was getting hungry now.

Once the marination was done: oil in, meat in.

Hakuya took the bowl of chili powder from Gardevoir and dumped it all into the pan; with a "crackle and pop," a rich aroma began to waft out.

Gulp... Gulp...

The two Pokémon-girls swallowed their saliva in unison, full of expectation.

"Just a moment, it's almost ready."

Hakuya comforted the two cute girls with a smile, then used the spatula to toss the meat and spices in the bubbling oil.

Since he had just taken over the abandoned farm, Hakuya hadn't had time to renovate the wooden cabin.

After decades of exposure to the elements, the cabin was dilapidated.

Not to mention the hard wooden bed in the bedroom—even the old ceiling would likely leak during a heavy rain.

However, even though the cabin was broken, they were happy.

Looking at Gardevoir gazing at him affectionately, and Lopunny whose face was covered in soot from the fire without her realizing it, Hakuya felt a warmth in his heart as he waited for the dish to be ready.

This feeling reminded him of the times he spent watching Pokémon anime in his past life.

The protagonist's team traveling through different regions, the joy of a successful capture, the tension of a Gym challenge, or the bittersweet parting at the end of a journey... all of it was something people yearned for.

Now, although he wasn't stepping out on a journey to challenge Gyms like other new Trainers, building and developing a farm seemed to have its own unique charm.

A peaceful pastoral life, beautiful natural scenery, and the satisfaction of farming step by step.

Not to mention, he had these Pokémon-girls with such diverse personalities.

"I must work hard to make the farm better and better!" Hakuya vowed to himself.

"Alright, it's coming out!"

Ten minutes later, Hakuya shouted, pouring the cooked Veluza meat into a prepared dish, then ladling a bit of hot oil to sizzle over the fresh dish.

A plate of Spicy Sliced Veluza Meat was complete!

"Yay!"

Lopunny cheered, and her plump snowy chest bounced joyfully with her excitement.

As the steaming dish was brought to the table, three sets of freshly washed bowls and chopsticks were presented by Gardevoir using her psychic powers.

Delicious, delicious—

Miss Lopunny, who couldn't wait to start eating, praised the food as soon as it hit her stomach, her furry ears perked up high.

Gardevoir gracefully took a piece and placed it in her mouth, her face showing a look of amazement after slow chewing.

Though from her hidden gaze, one could tell she seemed to want to eat something else more...

Regardless, seeing the two girls eating so happily, Hakuya wore a broad smile.

After they were full and satisfied, while the two girls cleaned the house, he returned to his room.

"League Calendar Year 2075, October 6th, Hiyori Town Farm."

"Income: Three Hard Stones (Estimated 15,000 Credits)."

"Expenses: None yet."

"Today's Progress: Cleared 3 acres of farmland."

"Current Farm Funds: 5 Credits."

Turning on the desk lamp, Hakuya wrote today's farm details in a large journal.

Since taking over the farm, he would complete this task no matter how late it was.

"For the fields, I need to plant some daily food crops later," Hakuya mused, tapping the desk.

Determined to build a better home for his Pokémon-girls, he was thinking about the farm's future construction plan.

"The Wang-Wang Grain and Roll-Roll Beans from the system can be considered basic staples..."

With these, the daily food supply for himself and the Pokémon would be guaranteed.

Considering the ample space, he also planned to set up a small medicinal garden to grow Heal Herbs, Repel Herbs, and Revival Buds—herbs that have wide uses and high market value.

Heal Herbs can make Potions, Repel Herbs are the main ingredient for Repels, and Revival Buds are used for Max Revives. They could cover the farm's medical needs and be sold at the Poké Mart.

For the western hills, Hakuya planned to plant basic Berries first.

Oran Berries, Lum Berries, and so on.

These Berries, whether sold directly or processed into Pokéblocks, would be sought after by many Trainers.

As for the eastern grasslands, following Pokémon world tradition, it was only natural to start livestock farming.

Mareep wool or Moomoo Milk would be great choices. However, due to limited startup funds, those plans were shelved for now, with focus remaining on crop planting.

After an hour, Hakuya finally finished the detailed construction plan. He stretched his back and noticed the sky outside had turned pitch black.

"Master~ can I use the bathroom?"

Miss Lopunny poked her head in cautiously and asked softly.

It seemed she had seen her Trainer writing so intently and didn't want to disturb him until now.

"Of course you can. It's the room right next to the living room; there should be new towels," Hakuya smiled, rubbing her cute rabbit ears.

Generally, Pokémon were somewhat similar to cats and dogs in his previous life.

Just as an owner bathes a pet cat, a Trainer would periodically bathe their Pokémon.

Knowing how to keep a Pokémon clean and beautiful was a basic skill for Coordinators and Breeders.

However, for a humanized Lopunny, she clearly didn't need Hakuya's help for this.

"Mmm-hmm~"

Miss Lopunny's face, as always, was flushed deep red.
