Chapter 31 - B-2

A frustrated groan escaped Eric's lips as he leaned back in his chair. "So, you're telling me these assholes have half a million men, dragons, and goddess knows whatever else laying around. An evil god is backing them, and the cherry on the top is that they control everything in the world except…" He checked the map once more. "Roughly twenty miles of the coastline, and the strip of land from here to Hood Hill and Freedom Village."

Remory chuckled as he folded his hands in front of him. "Correct. You are currently blo-" The king paused as he felt a large wave of wind press against the window, shattering glass. "What in God's green Earth?" Eric said as he looked outside. What he saw made him grin, his expression lightening. "Well, that will help." He said, a smirk plastered on his face.

"Do you know what that monstrosity is?" The king said as he looked up at a black figure flying a few hundred feet above the ground. His eyes widened as it made another pass over the kingdom, moving faster than he could track, he saw it move before he hear it… A shockwave of air exploding in his ears as if all the magic cannons in the kingdom shot rounds off at once.

Eric laughed out loud as a guard burst into the room. "Sir! The otherworld soldier's- oh." He turned to Eric. "Sir, your soldiers informed me that they were able to make contact with what they said is the 'B2'. They are awaiting your orders."

Eric's amused attitude vanished as he looked at Remory. "Well, that is what we call an air craft in my world. There is just one major problem here. It needs to land, and neither Freedom village, Hood Hill, nor the gas station have the real estate to land it at. We need to act fast. I will explain more later, but just know that thing can delete a target anywhere in the world in a matter of hours. If we want to use it, we need roughly one mile of flat ground, no slope or obstructions. Can that be done?"

The king nodded before turning back around to meet Eric. He called to the guard that was on standby. "Go tell Ryza to follow those instructions. The location will be outside of silver castle. I want it done in an hour. We cannot afford to lose this asset." The guard kneeled while responding, "By your leave, sire."

The king then turned to Eric. "Now, explain." He grumbled. "What manner of devil has crossed over the boundary now?" Eric sputtered in response, looking at the king with arched eyebrows. "Boundary?" He repeated. "What do you mean by boundary?"

The king sighed as he rubbed his face. "Your world is so advanced, yet so primitive." He grumbled. "There are boundaries between worlds. They are meant to never be crossed." He motioned up to the black silhouette in the sky. "The gas station, and now this 'B2' as you call it, came through that boundary somehow."

Eric turned around to face Mia, his expression betraying his confusion. "Did you know this too?" She looked at the ceiling while sighing. "Eric, I thought with how advanced your world was, your people would already know about boundaries between worlds." Eric sighed in response as he sat down, his face seemed to age ten years while making eye contact with the LT. "Don't." He growled as the young man attempted to speak. "There are already elves and cat girls in this world, don't even think about telling those wackos."

As everyone sat back down when the initial excitement wore down, Eric crossed his arms. "To answer the many questions you may have, think of that thing in the sky having the power of ten dragons at once. My country has many assets like that, and some that are even more powerful. The issues will be maintenance and fuel, so we can only use it sparingly. It can maybe run one or two missions before it becomes a sitting duck." He sighed as he looked out the window. "We can continue negotiations later. Right now, I need to get it on the ground." He got up to leave, while Mia followed behind. The LT was still standing in his spot. "Fucking cherries." Eric growled under his breath. "Come on LT!" He called out as he walked out of the room.

Chaos met Eric as he walked out of the room, he began barking orders to his men as he met with them outside the gates. "Alright, lets get this freak show on the ground. I hope the pilot isn't expecting a goddamn shrimp cocktail and four star hotel treatment." Mia heard Eric's grumbling and held his hand. "What do you mean?" She said, her head tilting as she watched the B2 make another pass. It was flying higher now, ensuring it didn't break any more windows with each pass. Eric turned to her and squeezed her hand. "If Army guys are the ugly gremlins in the dirt, the Air Force guys are the princesses in dresses." Mia was still confused, but let Eric's grumbling continue. They had more important things to worry about.

Remory watched Eric leave with an amused grin on his face. "What an interesting young man. He is competent under pressure. It is a shame that Mia got him before you did Ayeolla." The woman in question glowered while staring at her father, she blushed as she hit her father on the back. "FATHER!" She screeched, angrily pouting in the corner.

"Settle down you two." Lilith chided the two, sipping her tea elegantly. "Now is not the time to stand on ceremony, my love." She rebuked while watching the backs of the trio walking out of the castle gates. "He will walk through a path of thorns." She said gently, "And come out holding roses." Her eyes glowed with a slightly golden tint as she looked at Eric's retreating back. "We must assist them in whatever way we can, lest we not survive the upcoming tide."
