Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: A Warrior on His Knees

The stadium hung in tense silence. Krishna Verma looked at Kavya Agnihotri with a cruel smile and said, "Let me show you what martial arts really is."

He lunged at Kavya with unbelievable speed. Kavya smiled, blocked his punch, and spun into a powerful kick at his leg. But this time Krishna was alert. He lifted his leg and slammed double kicks into Kavya's stomach. Kavya flew backward, injured.

Then Krishna unleashed his signature skill, 'Key Blast,' right at her. Kavya dodged by spinning around it, but Krishna sped up. Right then, Kavya cranked her speed so high she stopped abruptly and appeared before Krishna in a blink. She smashed a powerful kick into his head. Krishna crashed into the stadium wall. The crowd was stunned—how did that happen? When did she get there?

Kavya stood tall, smirking, flipping her hair stylishly for show-off and said, "What happened?"

Ridika jumped up from her seat, "Kavya's reached mid-level Second Chakra!"

Veeru rubbed his eyes and said, "What? Yesterday she was at first chakra mastery level!"

Ridika shook her head, "No. Yesterday she was at Second Chakra normal level. Kavya's trained hard for this moment."

Veeru agreed, "Yeah, and it's showing!"

Then, in the ring, Krishna stood, dusted his clothes, and said, "You really surprised me, but sorry—I'll still win."

Massive chakra poured from his body. Kavya was shocked too, "You had this much chakra... you're mid-level Second Chakra? No problem, I'll defeat you just as fast."

Krishna closed in with speed and 'Key Blasts.' Kavya halted all his attacks with her signature skill, 'Static Stop,' freezing them for two seconds. She released the stopped 'Key Blasts' and charged Krishna, who threw a punch. Kavya countered with her own. The pressure was immense—blue chakra swirled in the air everywhere, cracking the ring floor. Kavya blocked every attack and twisted right for a kick.

But Krishna caught her kick with his right hand.

Ridika yelled, "No use! Kavya's kick is super powerful!"

But right then, Kavya slammed into the ring wall. Dust flew everywhere. When it cleared, Ridika was stunned, "What? How did he block and counter that?"

Kavya stood. Blood dripped from her mouth. Her left arm sleeve from the kick was torn, and her right leg pants ripped up to her thigh.

Veeru teased seeing Kavya's state, "Whoa! Wish Shiv was here!"

Ridika lightly smacked his head (holding back, maybe), "Chichora!"

In the match, Kavya said, "So your 'Key Blasts' work on body touch too?"

Krishna replied, "I figured you'd stopped my body with your 'Static Stop,' or you wouldn't be alive now."

Kavya said, "Now I'll show you what I'm made of!"

Then Kavya powered up and charged. Krishna fired 'Key Blast,' but Kavya spun around and started 'Static Stopping' his body from above. Nothing happened to Krishna. Then she punched his face, knocking him back. She followed with a stomach kick—blood spurted from Krishna's mouth.

Kavya pulled back, and Krishna stood firing 'Key Blasts.' Kavya dodged, but one hit her leg, sending her tumbling. Then Krishna kicked her back, launching her into the air. But Kavya used 'Static Stop' on Krishna mid-air and tried knee-smashing his head using gravity pressure.

Krishna said, "No use! It'll take you 4 seconds to reach—I'll break free from your signature skill by then!"

He started counting, "1, 2... game over!"

But he couldn't move. Krishna was shocked, "No! What happened?"

Then Kavya kneed his head, slamming it into the ground. Smoke and cracks erupted. When the smoke cleared, Kavya stood tall, Krishna embedded in the floor with blood pouring from his body and head.

The referee declared the winner, "Winner: Kavya Agnihotri!"

The referee called doctors, and Krishna was carried to the medical room. Kavya went to the medical room too, treated her injuries, then sat with Ridika in the audience seats.

Kavya asked, "Where's Shiv?"

Ridika said, "He left a while ago."

Veeru nodded, "Yeah."

Kavya angrily, "What? He didn't watch my match?"

Shiv arrived, "I'm here, Shiv! Sorry, I was late."

Kavya angrily, "You didn't watch my match?"

Shiv sat and said, "No, I watched it. When you defeated him with your power."

Kavya, "What? You watched?"

Shiv said nothing more. His eyes were blank. He was watching Kavya's brilliant win, but only one voice echoed in his mind—Piya's voice he'd heard outside the medical room: "Piya can never fight or walk the martial arts path again!"

The referee announced, "Next: Siddharth Kapoor from Class-CC vs. Raju Kushwaha from Class-BB. Referee calls both students."

Shiv stared blankly at the ring. His world had crumbled, while Kavya's was just beginning.
