Chapter 20 - The Most Beautiful Back in the Ninja World

"I want to look through information related to the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan."

Tamura Zairo wanted a deeper understanding of those two great clans. Although he had watched Naruto in his previous life, this was a real world. He needed more than surface-level knowledge.

In the future, he would inevitably deal with both the Senju and the Uchiha—especially when it came to researching the Sharingan, the Senju body, and the Rinnegan.

"We have quite a lot of records on those two clans," Tsuchidai replied without refusing.

"After the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara rose to prominence, we secretly intercepted and eliminated some of their clan members when they ventured outside the village. During the First Shinobi World War, especially after the First Hokage's death, we conducted interrogations and research."

Letting this kid look was fine—maybe he would notice something others had missed.

"And I also want to participate in the battle at the Land of Whirlpools," Tamura Zairo added.

This was his real purpose.

His Kaguya phantom needed more Ōtsutsuki bloodlines and chakra. The Uzumaki clan, as one of the Sage of Six Paths' major branches, would be tremendous nourishment for it.

Not to mention that other villages would also participate in that war—Kirigakure, for instance, which possessed the Kaguya clan.

Of course, he wasn't stupid enough to rush to the front lines. He would just support from behind, scavenging corpses and loot.

As for lacking strength?

Tamura Zairo now had money.

With enough cash, he could buy ten thousand high-quality explosive tags. Who would dare provoke him then?

Tsuchidai was momentarily stunned, then thought it through. Recalling Fukai's evaluation of the boy's combat power, he finally nodded.

"Experiencing the tempering of war isn't a bad thing."

Once there, Fukai would be watching him. There wouldn't be any major issues.

The two talked a while longer. Tsuchidai then escorted Tamura Zairo out, while he himself hurried toward the Raikage's office.

Back at home, Tamura Zairo immediately used chakra absorption techniques to extract the residual chakra from the corpses he had obtained. He separated and crushed the imprinted wills within, feeding them to the Kaguya phantom and making it grow even more solid.

After absorbing the chakra from Kinkaku and Ginkaku's bodies, he gained an unexpected benefit.

"Sense of good and evil… is this the Nine-Tails' power?"

Feeling the intentions of neighbors above, below, and next door, Tamura Zairo recalled Naruto's good–evil sensing ability after entering Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.

Kinkaku and Ginkaku had possessed the Nine-Tails' chakra and had even eaten its flesh. Naturally, traces of that chakra remained in their bodies. This ability must have come from absorbing that fragment.

"It requires my chakra to be connected to the Kaguya phantom to sense… I wonder what the range is."

Thinking this over, Tamura Zairo stepped outside and strolled around the neighborhood, greeting familiar faces as he went.

"The sensing range is about ten meters. For strangers, I can only vaguely detect the presence of consciousness. Strong reactions only appear toward people who already hold a clear sense of good or evil toward me."

After walking around once, he gained a clear understanding of the ability.

First, his chakra had to be linked to the Kaguya phantom—meaning he was borrowing Kaguya's power.

That confirmed his earlier hypothesis: it really was possible to obtain Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's abilities through this method.

Second, the sensing range was only about ten meters, likely because the amount of Nine-Tails chakra obtained from Kinkaku and Ginkaku was too small.

Third, the sensing itself worked only on shinobi wearing forehead protectors. Clearly, it was based on chakra—ordinary civilians lacked chakra and couldn't be detected.

One more important point: the sensed good or evil corresponded to the identity a person projected. When he used the Transformation Technique, the good–evil impressions of people he had already sensed changed accordingly.

"Once I obtain a proper sealing technique, I'll report this to my teachers. Then I'll transform into the Third Raikage or Night Moon Ai and root out all the spies in the village."

"Anyone harboring hostility toward them is definitely suspicious. Only by wiping them out—or placing them under strict surveillance—can Kumogakure become truly clean and beautiful."

"That'll be another huge contribution. Then I can have them find Nine-Tails chakra for me to absorb and strengthen this ability."

He quickly formed a plan.

Tamura Zairo decided that once the time was right, he would report this ability to the Third Raikage, using it to purge spies—especially Danzō's other agents in Kumogakure.

Those seductive little vixens dared to compete with him?

All of them would be exposed and eliminated, leaving Tamura Zairo as Danzō's only eye in Kumogakure.

Then he would push for more Nine-Tails chakra, boosting the sensing range to at least a hundred meters. Ten meters was far too short—many jutsu could already reach that distance, posing a serious threat to his life.

While Tamura Zairo continued wandering and experimenting with his good–evil sensing, a dispersed yet intense wave of malice suddenly entered his detection range.

Turning his head, he saw four people approaching—Night Moon Ai at the front.

"A-Zairo!"

Night Moon Ai also noticed him, stopped, and greeted him with a smile.

"Ai-ge!"

Tamura Zairo nodded back, his gaze shifting to the three people beside Ai.

Two girls and one boy, all in their teens.

The strong malice came from the boy.

That malice wasn't directed specifically at Tamura Zairo—it seemed aimed at everyone, or more precisely, at Kumogakure itself.

The two girls' mental fluctuations were mild—neither strong malice nor strong goodwill.

One looked gentle and soft-spoken.

The other looked cool and proud.

While Tamura Zairo observed them, the three were also sizing him up, speculating about his identity.

Someone greeted so familiarly by the Raikage's son—and with such an obvious age gap—was clearly not a classmate. His status had to be special.

"These three are envoys from Sunagakure," Night Moon Ai introduced casually.

"This is Rasa, this is Karura, and this is Pakura."

"So they're guests from Sunagakure."

Tamura Zairo understood immediately. They were most likely here about the joint operation against the Uzumaki clan, just as Tsuchidai had mentioned earlier.

Then his gaze landed on the girl wearing the backless outfit, and he asked enthusiastically:

"Is this your usual attire, Miss Pakura?

In a place like the Land of Wind, with such intense sunlight, it's incredible that you can maintain such skin. Do you use some kind of skincare product?

"If it's convenient, could you tell me?

The Land of Lightning is full of highlands and mountains with strong sunlight as well. Many people get badly tanned—we really need effective sun-protection products."

Tamura Zairo asked sincerely.

Kumogakure had a large population with darker skin tones, mostly due to sun exposure.

Just like the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau in his previous life: high altitude, thin air, intense UV radiation, dry climate—everything damaged the skin, especially ultraviolet light.

If there were a skincare product that truly protected against sun damage while keeping skin fair and smooth, it would sell extremely well—especially among women.

Never underestimate women's love for beauty or their purchasing power. In his previous life, that alone had supported half the commercial system.

And this woman was famously known as "the most beautiful back in the ninja world."

Just her silhouette had mesmerized countless netizens—including his past self.

Maybe she really did have some secret to skin care.

All three turned to look at Pakura at once.

Especially Karura—also a woman—who glanced at Pakura's fair, delicate skin, then at her own, her heart filled with envy.

Her own skin was well-maintained, yes—but only through meticulous care. She couldn't casually dress as lightly as Pakura, especially under the scorching desert sun.
