Chapter 44 - The $500 Million Garage

[The Pantheon - Underground Vault]

The basement of the Pantheon Tower was vast, empty, and silent. It was designed to hold gold bars, but right now, it only held dust.

Alex walked through the concrete hall with Luna.

"It's too empty," Alex critiqued, his voice echoing. "I own the tallest building in the city, but my garage looks like a mall parking lot."

He currently only owned the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Armored SUV. For a man called "The King of the Skyline," it was embarrassing.

"Dawn," Alex tapped his earpiece. "Locate every Hypercar currently for sale in the world."

"Scanning Global Inventories..." Dawn's voice replied instantly. "Sir, there are 15 Bugattis, 8 Paganis, and 3 Koenigseggs available on the open market."

"I'll take them all," Alex said. "But that's not enough. I want the ones that aren't for sale."

Alex projected a holographic screen. He scrolled to a private list of "Collectors' Items"—cars owned by Sultans, Tech Moguls, and Hermits who refused to sell.

Item 1: The Bugatti La Voiture Noire (Only 1 in existence). Owner: A Prince in Dubai.

Item 2: The Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut (Valued at $140 Million). Owner: A Museum in Germany.

Item 3: The Ferrari 250 GTO (Valued at $70 Million). Owner: A recluse in Italy.

"Dawn," Alex ordered. "Send an offer to all of them. Triple the market value. Cash upfront. If they refuse, quadruple it."

"Processing... Sir, the German Museum says the car is a national treasure and is not for sale."

"Offer to build them a new museum," Alex said, checking his watch. "And donate $50 Million to their preservation fund."

[10 Minutes Later]

[Transaction Complete.] [Expenditure: $520,000,000.] [Assets Acquired: 45 Vehicles.] [Reward: +52,000 Tycoon Points.]

[The Delivery]

Two hours later, a fleet of cargo planes landed at the city's private airport. Heavy-duty trucks rolled into the Pantheon's underground garage.

The unloading process was a spectacle.

A team of white-gloved handlers carefully rolled out the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It looked like a spaceship made of black carbon fiber.

"Beautiful," Alex ran his hand over the fender. "Luna, this one is for grocery runs."

Next came the Mercedes 300 SLR. It was silver, vintage, and cost more than a small island.

"And this one?" Luna asked, eyeing the classic car.

"That's for Sunday drives," Alex smiled.

Finally, the trucks unloaded a row of ten Rolls Royce Phantoms, all painted in "Pantheon Black."

"These are for the staff," Alex announced. "I don't want my employees taking the subway. It looks bad for the company image."

Emily, the new financial manager, walked into the garage holding a stack of ledgers. She froze. She dropped her pen.

"Sir..." Emily squeaked. "Did you just spend half a billion dollars on... cars?"

"Transportation is essential, Emily," Alex tossed her a set of keys. "Take a Rolls Royce. You're working late tonight."

[The Reaction Shot]

Outside the Pantheon, car spotters and paparazzi were losing their minds.

"Is that a McLaren F1?!" a photographer screamed, snapping photos as the trucks entered. "That car hasn't been seen in public for twenty years!"

"He bought the collection of the Sultan!" another guy yelled, livestreaming on TikTok. "He literally bought the Sultan's garage!"

On the internet, the hashtag #PantheonGarage trended #1 globally. Kids were putting posters of Alex's garage on their walls.

Alex stood in the center of his new $500 Million collection. The smell of leather and gasoline filled the air.

"Much better," Alex nodded. "Now, Dawn... let's talk about a yacht."
